Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
So this week is going splendidly and I just wanted to share... I've been eating super clean (yummy home cooked healthy meals/snacks), cut out alcohol (which was much needed - was definitely imbibing way too much lately and my body was getting mad at me), been drinking ~3 liters of water everyday, and getting back into yoga and low-impact cardio after being too sick/injured to do much physical activity for several weeks. Holy moly I feel fantastic. Super clear headed and focused. I'm also on top of all my chores/cleaning around the house - it feels weird not to have anything I *need* to do! I've been spending my time cooking/meal prepping, reading, and working on arts&craft projects. I've also been really enjoying silence. I'm not usually big on meditation but lately I have been feeling sensitive to noise - normally I always have music, podcasts, or tv on in the background, but this week it's made me a bit anxious, so I find myself just opening the window and zoning out while listening to nature. It's so calming.
Suffice it to say, I'm also having a really good week on cam and I seriously hope this positive streak keeps up!

^^THAT'S SO HOT IT'S MOLTEN LAVA! Dayum girl, you have HULKED self care & reading that gave me all kinds of good energy <3
I have to give it up: PROPS! That takes discipline.
& I can attest to good energy affecting sales positively. When I'm on top of my self care game I attract more clients. Right on!

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
So today is starting out killer. I slept 7h 50min well, had coffee, 10 ounces water, and repeated 15 min positive affirmations then trained at the gym indoor cycle for 39 min. The whole session was an hr but I'm not counting warm up and cool down plus stretch.
I'm super proud of today's training session as I was able to train upper aerobic zone (80% of max hr) which is a must as I'm cutting calories and eating low carb. I can't train anaerobic (high intensity or HIIT) and eat low carb; I'll just fuck myself up plus can't make gains that way. I'm currently trying to lose a stubborn 8 lbs I've been wrestling with for about 4 weeks (I lost then slacked and gained again ugghh lol).
The session felt damn good. I was breathing deep and rhythmical also sweating plenty. My Fitbit doesn't track my sessions accurately for indoor cycle (Spinning) so I'm at the mercy of my old Polar chest strap which is only half great as the watch needs replacing...but I was able to get decent feedback from the indoor bike I trained on (it shows all averages for your ride: speed RPM, power in watts (super important), and HR).
Attachment 51389
While the session felt good and was exactly what I need to accomplish my goals, I realized what 2 months of irregular training and missed training sessions have done: loss in power and strength. I used to train in the upper aerobic zone with quite a bit more power. Today my avg power was only 90 watts. About 2 months ago the same exact training session yielded 100-105 watts. Bummer, however it's to be expected and I'm in a phase of aerobic base building. I'm giving myself a month of regular (5 days a week) aerobic training sessions to build my base back up before killing any HIIT sessions. "Patience my dear" will be my new motto.
As soon as I got home I made a super clean meal. I'm keeping calories below 1500 until I meet my weight goal. Lightly fried up 2 cups power greens, 6 small spears asparagus, and can of sardines in a tblspn of extra virgin olive oil then added half a medium avocado. Washed it down with 40 ounces water.
Attachment 51390
Self care on point so far. I have my regular shift of 6 hrs to complete soon. I'm planning to meditate on abundance during one of my breaks and have a total of 120 ounces water today (80 is my bare minimum without exercise and 40 for my training sessions) plus stay below 1500 calories.
I'm gonna do it haha.

I had to share this here, it's a 5 min yoga quickie that I use lately when I need breaks in my camming shift. It does wonders for my body and brain as well.

I love Adriene, she is the most awesome yoga instructor ever because she is also a spiritual coach, not just a yoga teacher, and her voice is amazing and calming too. I heard about her on here years ago and her videos made me become addicted to yoga, I do at least 30 mins every day. I am so grateful for her, yoga is the reason for which I am sane and healthy today.

I agree that her voice is soothing. She gives off good, kind energy.

Today started off a little rocky. Felt groggy & out of it. Had coffee, 10 oz water, then did a 40 min yoga session. I have a subscription with The Yoga Collective. It felt nice & I perspired a little. It was a move class & I was flowing through the movements.

I had a super clean breakfast afterwards with 20 oz water. I feel calm & centered since doing it. I'm glad I took some time out for it :)

This was my exact morning, down to the exact same Yoga subscription. Haha! :D
I did one of Anaswara's "Short, Sweet, and Sweaty" vinyasa flows. Got my heart rate up a little and now I feel ready to tackle the day.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^Hahahaaaa rad! What a happy coincidence. Did you perspire too? I've had that subscription for almost a year and hardly use it. I used to do a lot of Kundalini and fell in love with the breath of fire. I really need to engage in the subscription more.
Oh, I'm going to check it out. I just favorited it. Thanks for sharing!!!

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
I had a reasonably good day with a bit of stress involving one show. Had to balance chakras as I was feeling overwhelmed and self critical. That session almost put me to sleep. I really need to get good sleep tonight if I'm gonna be able to cam tomorrow in good spirits. I am, however, in a better mood since that long meditation session.
You can find the whole guided chakra balancing session here:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...K4&app=desktop
And my stats show heart was seriously stressed in the beginning of the session but I was able to calm down towards the middle:

Oh yeah, I love when I break a sweat from yoga. It's a great feeling. Yoga Collective has a great selection of vinyasa and power flows that definitely make me feel like I'm getting a substantial workout in. I also noticed they recently added a pilates section but I haven't checked it out yet.
My favorite teachers on Yoga Collective are Anaswara, Kyle Miller, Mary Beth La Rue, Steve Jones, Tony Guiliano, and Travis Eliot. I'm pretty picky about it and I'm happy I narrrowed it down after being subscribed for like 3 years. They all have (in my opinion) a uniquely engaging, personable teaching style that keeps me motivated to stick it out, especially for the longer 40-60 min classes. I also find that all of these teachers have a knack for explaining how to properly get into a pose. Anyway, check em out :)

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^Ditto on their coaching abilities. I love how most teach & gently correct students. & I thought it was just me who sweats easily during yoga. Cool to know you do too. Yeah, some of the flow classes get my heart rate into the fat burning zone. It's rad.
I had no idea about the Pilates classes. I just found a few. Thanks!

I just took one of Steve Jones 20 min move classes: Sun Salutes & worked up a small sweat. I too now feel ready to tackle my cam shift. Thanks for the suggestion. He's top notch at explaining proper form.

Oooohhhhh, it's been plenty difficult this Sunday. While I started with tons of positive energy it was drained quickly this past 2 hours. I'm halfway to high goal, but the amount of time wasting and requests for anal had me in a state of emergency LOL.
I meditated and thank God: I feel 100% better. Then I made a healthy low carb veggie dish and green tea.
I'm ready to make more money.

Re: The Official 'What's On Your Mind?' Thread!
Hello everyone,
I hope I’m posting this correctly lol I’ve been on here as a “lurker” for a minute, but recently to post about self care and self love. I’ve been working as a cam model for about 3 or 4 months now, and some nights are amazing and fun and profitable. But some nights are slow, and my social life suffers, and I feel isolated. How do we care for ourselves as sex workers when we have to operate mostly behind closed doors? I’m sorry to ramble, I’m just struggling with the idea of taking nights off to just allow myself the peace to rest and self love I know I need without feeling guilt. I have been self employed for a while now and have always struggled with time off when I dictate it and am hoping for advice if anyone has insight. Thank You <3

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^Both Cutie & I feel the same: 2 full days off for rest & relaxation.
I cam a day shift so I can do happy hour 6pm-8pm Thursday nights with friends. I too isolate. I'm an introvert & like alone time, but weekly meet ups are necessary for me to function healthy.
Choose 1 night a week for social hour. It's part of self care: social medicine.
& for self love: positive affirmations on self-compassion help me.
You got this doll. You care enough to reach out. Good job.

All cm models have been trough this phase. I guess this is the bad part of this job. You get lonely, at one point you don't feel like socialising anymore (cause u socialise all day on cam anyway haha). But it is ok to take days of from time to time, or work one hour less to go out with someone.
I persoanlly have very few friends because I work my ass off. But I do try to go out with the few friends I got. It is something like Sasha said in my case aswell.
Camming has also helped me see peoples true colours and read them better. So many are assholes, so I don't bother with the ones I feel like it is not worth it (so super few friendssss haha).
And yeah I do feel guilty for taking days off but evan if you feel it, take it anyway (when your logic, your brain says you need it - take it).
I just wanted to write this so you know it is normal. What you are feeling is normal and ok. You are not alone.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Self care on point and thank goodness cause there's been plenty of stress on cam this AM.
While I only got 6 hrs rest, I did feel good when I woke. Had coffee as soon as I got up, repeated 15 min wealth and abundance affirmations, then did a 20 min yoga session. It was from The Yoga Collective, online subscription, called Soulful Sweat Sesh 20 which included a good amount of core poses. Yowee my abs...I found them LOL.
Attachment 51411
I've eaten super clean today and I'm target to keep calories below 1500, also had 82 ounces water so far, plus listened to 1.5 hrs of binaural beats.
But legit: men on cam have behaved badly and I had to block a handful of members which is something I rarely do. Thank God for the block function.
I'll be balancing chakras today FOR SURE. I'm emotionally exhausted with 3.5 more hours to cam. EEEEK!
Update: DAYUM! Was so close to 1500 calories. Went over a tad bit. Ugh LOL

About to get on cam to finish off this 6 hr shift. Cleansed all Chakras in a 22 min meditation session. Interestingly sacral & throat chakra appeared tinged when visualizing them (Chakras for emotion & communicating boundaries). All is well & I feel ready to, like Nikki says, MTFM (MakeThatFuckinMoney).

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Just did a Ho'oponopono negative energy clearing meditation to a peaceful serenity gong track. Clearing negative energy is something I try to do weekly.
During the clearing session 4 phrases are repeated:
Please forgive me.
I'm sorry.
Thank you.
I love you.
These phrases are a call to the Universe to eliminate negative energy. You can direct it to an individual or make it general (like negative energy from potential cam clients).
Here is the track:

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Today is a day off. Taking 2 days off is the best mental health wise for me. Today is just a day of rest and relaxation plus an opportunity to run a couple errands then possibly clean. Goal however is to just chill.
This AM started off great: 7 hrs good rest, coffee, a banana, 15 ounces water, 15 min of repeated positive affirmations, and a really long indoor cycling training session. I trained on my own for 29 min with very good results: upper aerobic zone, steady power, and a good amount of speed. Then I stayed on the bike for an hour long Interval class directly after my training session.
Good news is I followed plans and trained aerobic in the beginning; bad news is I pushed really hard during the class and trained a good amount in power zone 5 (danger zone=anaerobic). As a result I had to consume a good amount of carbs to replenish and recover.
This is the training session only (does not include warm up which was 7 min long). Improved speed, improved power, and maintained upper aerobic zone (80% of max HR):
Attachment 51416
The total time for exercise today was 80 minutes (does not include cool down plus stretch which was 10 min). Since anaerobic zones were engaged I had to eat more carbs. This is the meal:
Attachment 51417
I'm kinda feelin myself LOL. I plan to meditate to balance chakras this afternoon which will be a long one: 40 min.
To those camming today: may the force be with you!
Namaste <3

Girl, I trained power zone 5 a lot today which is HIIT. I'm gonna try to do that training session using the bike. I haven't seen the video but I'll try to use the bike to reach the peak zones. I'll update with the HR stats.
Haven't seen you on the board. Hope you are well.

Anonamiss, giiiiirl: I did Short, Sweet, & Sweaty #1 & fuck it was hard LOL. I was sweaty & struggled on Warrior 3. Damn, hella balance issues plus my core is weak. While I struggled a bit, afterwards I felt accomplished. Thanks again for the tip. Anaswara is a top notch instructor too. Her gentle guidance helped out heaps.
I have a 6 hr shift planned & I'm feelin ready to sell, sell, sell :)
Update: mood dropped first hr, so a negative energy clearing session was a must.

Now I feel much better.
