Bad Night Downward Spiral
I'm sure it has been posted a million times...The nights where the club is slow and there are never more than 2 customers at stage. And it seems your the only girl that did not make money. (Everyone has done a VIP room, but not you). You try everyone with the best approach, but they say no to you and yes to the next girl. Your sober, on time, on point...and you know not to 'take it personal. You keep smiling being upbeat..but still it's not working. What's your way of dealing with it ? In the club? After work? The downward spiral....Btw I'm going to a different club to try...try...try again.

Well. I was thinking about this. Really this industry is just going downhill. I went to a big city club and didn’t do any better. I made money, but can I do it consistently and cover the cost of living? So I’m stuck at a club that I don’t love, but is over all okay in terms of being clean and consistent money since I’m going back to school. I’m really just going to have to stay positive. I’m just going to use the law of attraction to see the best in customers and my coworkers for now. I’m doing a vision board tonight. I’m focusing on what’s i can control-my attitude. I can’t control the industry is going downhill and it’s not getting any better. I may work at a more upscale club, but if I move it’s for a job with benefits not just to strip. Every single girl that leaves to go to any of the big cities (Miami and Chicago) comes back cause they can’t deal with the extras and they didn’t make enough to make it the cost of living to move out there. I’m just gonna stay positive, practice self care, and focus on other ways to make money, and I’ll probably travel dance. I’m just going to have to stop being so negative because I’m doing everything I can right now.

There is also the fact that summer is coming up and that is a pretty slow time in many places.
You can only do what you can do. I will usually leave as soon as I'm able, if I am past the point of being able to turn my attitude around, because there is no sense in burning yourself out over literally no one. I used to fill the time chatting with staff or other girls, and trying to pop around to tables to just chat for a few minutes in order to look busy while trying not to actually sell them (save mental energy by keeping it brief and casual, occasionally I would get lucky and make a sale). When I had to go on stage ... if it was the same broke ass cheap bastards after two sets in a row, I secured all my fucks and ignored them completely -- either use the stage time to practise pole tricks or if I was feeling super pissy, climbing to the top of the pole and sitting there until my set was done.
Re: Bad Night Downward Spiral
For me, when a downward spiral happens it happens because the mind departed elsewhere, it needs to be brought back down to focus on the customer and our conversation to get back into VIP.
Whatever is on my mind, it needs to be focused on ASAP before going back to work so it no longer interferes with hustle time. Unfinished business needs to be taken care of when it interferes at work. If you have a broken heart, you need to take care of your heart.
Some good ways to re-focus can be mind-body exercises like yoga, meditation (headspace guided meditation is FREE), or something that works as meditative for you maybe that means painting on canvas, lifting weights, etc.
I think if you’re good at hustling sometimes that means you crash hard if you don’t fall often, or maybe that’s just projection on my part.
Who knows, good luck, hustle hard don’t let the downward spiral stop you!
Xoxo.
Re: Bad Night Downward Spiral
This is so weird that you posted this because I have had two terrible nights back to back. I know it’s not just me as most of the other girls weren’t making money either but my first two nights back without making anything have really discouraged me. My plan to deal with this is to take a few days off to do things I love which are cooking, cleaning & spending time with my kids. I will say that it probably wasn’t the best decision to go back to work on Sunday and Monday lol. Anyways, I’m also trying a different club, different days, & probably try to do a double to compare the other clubs dayshift and night shift customers

You need to let go and give up on trying to make money and focus on having fun and being in the moment. Because that's where the money is. Guys can always, always, always tell your vibe. If you're focused on how much money you're not making/ are making, you're doing it wrong. Don't even focus on money until you are counting it at the end of the night. THIS DOES NOT MEAN TO NOT ALWAYS BE CLOSING. THIS DOES NOT MEAN GET DRUNK OR WASTE YOUR TIME. You are still there to make money, but your main goal is to ALLOW that moeny to come to you by being in the right mindset and mood. Always go in with the thought that "I've already made $100, $200, $500 I'm doing so great let's go have fun with the best customer in the room. I always get the best customers and my customers always come to me". If you can't do that, you need to journal or meditate or go to therapy so that that process becomes automatic for you without faking it. When you aren't making money, it's because you're focused on not making money. No one wants a stripper whose mind is on everything except them and having a good time. Let go. Even when you get just one $20 dance, be grateful for it, say "oh, there's my tipout, great!" Let go, let go, let go. Don't take it so seriously. Stripping, like all business, is a job where you HAVE to have the right mentality or you. Will. Fail.

Thank you for this most excellent advice.
