Re: Sexy weight loss group
Hey thank you for starting this thread!!!
I have wanted to talk about this for so long!!
I started keto around February this year. Well lazy keto.. Lol. However, I've lost 30lbs so far!!
So yay! My long term goal is to reach 150, but I focus on losing 10 lbs at a time.
As far as why, well I've been a big girl my whole life. Like I was 220lbs freshman year. By junior year I stepped on the scale and to my absolute fucking horror I was nearly 270 pounds. I knew if I didn't do anything I was going reach 300 lbs before I was 18 and there was just no way I could let that happen.
I had finally gotten away from my abusive mom and her string of piece of shit boyfriends and lived with grandma. She let me buy my own food and cook my own meals, and help me know what was healthy and what was not. and I lost nearly ninety pounds.
that shit didnt last. Her health failed and I was out on the streets. Since then I gained back fifty pounds.(over 7/8 years)
I browse reddit quite a bit and had seen alot of before and afters claiming they did keto. I ignored them most of the time because I assumed it was a fad diet or something. Around November/December I started getting these really, really dark red stretch marks on my belly. And I thought you know maybe they'll go away are be less notable. Nope. They got worse. So I bought a scale in january saw I weighed 235 and said fuck that and looked into keto.
HOLY FUCK. I wish I would have known about it before. I don't even look at it as a diet, i look at it as the way we should eat. IE stop eating so many carbs. I never knew how truly bad the shit I was eating was. And lord, the soda. The fucking soda. I barely eat, but would practically drink a 2lt of coke everyday. I could never figure out why I didn't loose weight. Yea that one soda is all the carbs I needed for one day, now multiply it to equal a 2lt. Yea no bueno. Cut that shit out, stopped eating bread, pasta, and potato's and have lost and kept off 30 pounds so far. YAY! Im pretty freaking happy!
Like I couldn't believe how effective it is.
I know I would probably loose more if I ditched the wine, but damn I hate hard liquor so ehh. I have cut back how often and how much I drink so that helps a bit.
There is one thing I can't quite figure out and that's when to start working out.
I walk everyday, but I would like to try to do things that are a bit more strenuous and I see a lot of infighting on when you should start working out. I see some people say to wait till you have lost the weight, vs start now. So, I'm conflicted. My main goal is to prevent extreme loose skin so Im trying to really research when the best time to is to prevent that from happening.
Sorry if this turned into a whole thing lol
But my friends and family are on the larger side and I don't want to make them uncomfortable by talking about this, so I don't really get to talk to anyone about it:o
Re: Sexy weight loss group
I really really want to go to the gym and get a personal trainer! I have zero idea on how to work out. I have always been slim, I cannot eat before 2pm and I never overeat or I get sick but right now Im on a medication that has made me gain a ton of weight, mostly fluid, and I hate my body. I just need to workout to correct my posture and keep healthy.
I tried to do it on my own at home but I always stop or dont know what to do or get frustrated trying to follow along with videos/website instructions. I want to just pay someone to tell me what to do so I dont have to make those decisions! What should I look for in a personal trainer? How do I know if they are good or if they are crap??
Also I was thinking about adding those walking poles to my daily dog walk. I walk my dogs for one hour every morning, rain or shine. I heard that the poles are great for correcting posture. Any experience with those??

I haven’t heard of walking poles? Sounds neat?
I use to pay on online trainer her name is Kandee and she does guns n poses, but I’m one of those people that’s wants to know everything and how to do it myself. Of course for $130 she’s not gonna teach me that...lol.
Honestly, I don’t know a lot about medication. I would follow doctors orders. If there’s no restrictions on exercise or diet you should be able to count calories and workout as normal.
Everyone is different. You can hire a trainer-since money is energy you are investing energy into your goal. It wasn’t until I got a trainer that I got in kickass shape. I’m in the maintenance stage which means I have to prevent relapses from happening-mainly do to stress. You’re on the right path. I would just get a trainer. In terms of a good trainer, just find someone you vibe with that has a good track record. Most trainers offer a free session, so just try on trainers like you’re looking for a good pair of shoes.
I think we all should lift weights. Those at home work outs never worked for me. It was good to get me in the habit of exercise, but I never got the results I wanted.
