Motivation: I sold a champagne room my first night in this club.
Hey girls! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I wanted to share my recent experiences, they’ve motivated me to keep pushing so hopefully it’ll help someone else too! So after about an 8 month hiatus from the club, I decided to give it another try, this time determined to make the best out of it. Some reasons about why I had initially left the club- I had been having a hard time adjusting and I felt pretty intimidated by the whole thing, and I had received a job opportunity back in my hometown in Broward County. I also had been technically “fired” from the club I was dancing at, because they felt that me being too exhausted to continue the night one time, and choosing to get dressed and go home that night was just too audacious. The manager told me before I left to “text him before I came into work again” so we could discuss whether or not I could continue working there. This other manager had lied on me and the situation became super negative. I felt indignant, scoffing at him and swearing to myself that I’d never beg to work for their distrustful, grimy asses.
I moved back to Broward, worked at a few “good” jobs for a few months but all of them made me feel lousy. I re-began school and realized that I really want to get an aesthetics business going. The jobs were not allowing me too much flexibility and honestly I found them to be wildly depressing so I chose to go back to the club, make my own schedule and my own money to fund my pursuits. I checked around my area for some clubs and called around to see audition times, came up with a list of three to scope out and got hired at the first one I auditioned at, which was also the main one I wanted to get hired at.
I made $5 in stage tips during my audition, which was great to me because it was like 4 pm and the club was dead. I tipped the dj $1, because before my audition he had asked me what I liked to hear and I felt like that really helped my audition go well. I returned to start working three days later, 5pm-12am and made $50 on my first stage set. I kept banking on stage and I sold a few dances (to one guy, and when I got him in that room I did not stop dancing until he asked how many songs we were at). By 9, I’d told myself if I could just make $100 more I’ll be happy. But then I was like actually no, that’s not enough. I need to get someone in VIP. So I go to the bar and sit, feeling tired but still trying to see what I could make happen. A guy who had been there all day and hadn’t tipped me on my stage sets came up to me, I mostly ignored him (expecting for him to be wasting my time since he hadn’t seemed interested earlier) but he kept showing interest so I humored him. We engaged in small talk in which he mentioned in passing that he owned three businesses in California. (!!$$$!!) After a few minutes he was staring at me quietly and I started thinking this may be my VIP chance.
I looked a couple seats down the bar, saw a girl who I 1) saw flirting with him earlier 2) had been friendly with me earlier in the DR, complimenting my dress and exchanging kind words and 3) looks like me, relative stripper-looks wise, but with a huge ass. I held on to his arm and walked over to her, quickly making eye contact and communicating with her “hey what’s up with this guy, you wanna double team him and try to get him in VIP?” while he talked to his buddies behind earshot. She enthusiastically agrees and comes up to him and asks him straight up: “you wanna have a party with us in the champagne room?” We’re hugging him and rubbing his chest and back while she asks and the guy agrees without hesitation. We get an hour, shit got crazy but fun and interesting. He threw up, having been drinking all day. We had to think on our feet every few seconds to keep him having fun but not allowing him to break the rules. The other dancer was smart, on the same page with me on my no-extras rule, and overall was such a good partner to have in there with me. Complete opposite experience of my first champagne room experience. We were in control, he did what we said, and both of us walked away with an extra $378 ($400 before the club’s 3% credit card tax) before our shift ended. That night gave me the motivation I needed to keep grinding, sometimes if you push yourself just a teensy bit more it makes a world of difference for the night. Here’s an awesome video I found of some moves you can do on stage. Beginner friendly and so, so hot https://youtu.be/FSXCk28og2k

yaaaaaas this is awesome, great hustle! it's so wild that we keep ourselves back from getting things with the concept of "social norms" like a girl at my club didn't get tipped on her 15 minute VIP, and then he took me back and i set ground rules up front and didn't ask for a tip so much as suggested that tips are appreciated. What's the worst someone can say is, no? big deal if they say yes that's bonus money in your pocket!

Dude, I've never thought too tip the DJ on an audition! Freaking GENIUS!
