Should I lie about lack of experience?
Hey guys! I'm trying to find an audition, never danced before. I'm texting someone at a club. He asked me if I have ever danced before.
I read somewhere you should say you danced a few couple years ago rather than say you have no experience, say you're just rusty. I'm 21, I could say I did a little work at 18. I feel a little uneasy about this though. Is lying a good idea? Would anyone grill you on it? Do most club owners turn down beginners?

I'm not sure if you can delete a post but I went ahead and was honest. Found another thread answering my question after this. But wish me luck!

What did you find? I’ve been getting turned away even though I’ve been a burlesque performer since 2015 and gogo dancing since 2012 and Im a trained dancer. It’s really frustrating seeing the girls they have dancing at the clubs and they aren’t doing shit. And I can do all of the same moves they are ... but better
Re: Should I lie about lack of experience?
Well I haven’t gone in yet but I’ll tell you they were ok with me being a beginner. They offered up amateurs night to me as my audition. Maybe try going to one of those then speaking to the manager afterwards when you’ve shown off your moves? I’m sorry to hear that though, that sounds really frustrating. People not willing to see your experienced style are fools!

If you’re asking about what thread I found that answered my question here it is. https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...bout-being-new
Re: Should I lie about lack of experience?
I wouldn’t lie because if you say you have experience they gonna ask which clubs lol. Just be honest
Re: Should I lie about lack of experience?
Burlesque and gogo are reallllly different from stripping, it's less about the actual dancing and more about making a sale... It's a plus if you can dance "better" than other girls but it doesn't really mean anything as far as selling rooms and dances. Keep trying I'm sure you'll get it. Try to be mindful that some of those girls who "aren't doing shit" might be bringing home stacks because they know how to hustle and put their energy into that instead. In fact depending on the club a lot of girls making money will pay to stay OFF the stage because it's a waist of time. There are exceptions, clubs that rely heavily on stage tipping, urban clubs. Maybe you should try your luck at those places instead.

Be honest and tell the true. If you are pretty they may hire you and give you some lessons or dancing tips
Re: Should I lie about lack of experience?
I lied when I started, but I had read stripperweb for a year and could back up the lies lol. after the first few days nobody will really care anyways, but good that things worked out for you!
