Re: How Do I Pick Up Money??
Obviously it's different at every club. But on stage just pick it up quickly put it in your bag and you're good :) If there's a lot sweep it to the back corner of the stage and then pick it up. As long as you are polite about the next girl going on it's not a problem. Don't worry so much :)

Don't overthink it, Jesus :rotfl:
There's probably somewhere most girls set their money purse already. A ledge, the edge of stage, etc. Sweep your $$ over there when your turn is over. Get your ass off the stage in a timely fashion (pet peeve here, girls who sit on stage talking to customers or picking up bills 1 at a time, wasting part of my song).
If you get rained on or something, hopefully they have a procedure for that. At my club, a bouncer or the DJ brings you a champagne bucket to sweep it into.
Re: How Do I Pick Up Money??
I enjoyed picking it up in a super slutty way while i was working in smaller clubs. I didn't mind crawling around to gather dollars (if my set ended with me doing floor work), or bending over at the waist to pick them up. Basically using the time as an extra advertising opportunity before hitting the floor to hustle for dances. I'd give quick "thank yous" to customers sitting at the tip rail at the end of my sets while picking the money up, and I'd try to quick-hustle customers who seemed like they might want a dance ("let's go dance together?" while nodding towards the private-dance area). I wouldn't take the time to straighten dollar bills until off stage; I'd just kind of grab the money.
If the stage was super busy, I'd try to be more mindful about putting money in my garter or kind of keeping the dollars closer together in a pile on the stage to make cleanup faster.
If you're slow about leaving your stage due to cleanup time, it can be good etiquette to leave a couple of dollars for the next girl. It kinda depends on the club. Some women might find the practice insulting, probably so in larger clubs (like they're pity dollars), but in a smaller club atmosphere, it can come across as respectful and like you're "paying it forward" / spreading good karma.

I rake all my tips by the pole towards the end, then when the dj calls me off I put this long kimono robe thing on, then grab my clothes and money.
Yes just bring your bag and something to quickly dress yourself and leave it in the corner lol

Yeah, it's super annoying when dancers are still picking up their money when you're trying to start your stage set! You want to get it together as quickly as possible. My advice above may make it sound like i would linger on stage, but I'd be as efficient as possible while still looking sexy.
Trust me, OP, you'll figure it out. Most of dancing is stuff you just learn on the job very quickly. Within 1-3 shifts, all of these small concerns won't occur to you anymore. It's best to jump right in to the deep end. I recommend starting at a small club - dive or mid-tier - to get all of the awkward newbiness out in a fairly safe and less judgmental environment before moving on to nicer clubs. I spent most of my dancing career in neighborhood clubs and mid-tier clubs, and they were a good fit for my look and commitment level.
Re: How Do I Pick Up Money??
I'm sitting here laughing because i was such a clueless mess when i started dancing. I'd wear like streetwalker outfits because i had no clue what strippers were supposed to wear, i was a 100% square virgin, and i didn't even know how to do anything with makeup (I'd wear dark eyeshadow with no eyeliner and no foundation... what?? Just absolutely clueless.). I'm not going to pretend that i ultimately transformed into a flawless stripper goddess with perfect makeup and outfits (i really never invested a ton of time or money into the gig), but i still ended up making a lot of money (despite mostly working during the recession - after a year of cluelessness, i worked towards having top-notch sales skills!) and ended up learning a helluva lot about myself and humanity.
