Healthy "alternative" body products
Hi ladies, excuse me if there's a post like this but I am wondering if any of you are into the "hippy dippy" "alternative" self care like coconut oil as a moisturizer or using apple cider vinegar for x, y, z or oatmeal/honey for face mask, olive oil in hair. Please share any of your alternative self care body tips.

Coconut nut oil does wonders for your skin and it’s part of my daily skin care! Be sure you get an extra virgin type oil though!

Here are my recs-
shea butter- better than coconut oil in so many ways, but pricier. Coconut oil can be bought in bulk and goes a long way (cooking, skincare/haircare, tooth cleaning.)
For people with skin allergies- use Ivory bar soap or Cetaphil cleanser in the bath. Dr. Bronner's Castile soap is okay for laundry, bath and body, but will trash hair.
A good cheap shampoo for people with allergies- Suave Clarifying, or any creamy non-sulfate brand. A lot of people opt out of using soap on their hair and use baking soda and vinegar rinses instead.
If you mix your own lip glosses, store them in the fridge- they spoil faster due to lack of preservatives. Once makeup smells rank to you, toss it.

Oh yeah, coconut oil has so many uses. I love it. You can use it on your skin after showering and shaving to help soothe and moisturize your skin. I've put it in my hair before to help with dandruff. Coconut oil can be used for a lube and lipgloss. I've made my own lip gloss out of coconut oil and honey before and it is best to keep it in the fridge until you want to use it. Apple cider vinegar can be used as a toner if you have oily or acne prone skin. Overripe banana? Instead of throwing it out, you can mash it up until it has a paste-like consistency and put it in your hair as a hair treatment.

almond oil to remove makeup
rose water + crushed crystal deodorant in a spray bottle as a deodorant (very effective, most people dont rub in the crystal enough and so it doesnt work)
sulphate and silicone free hair products. most people are drying their hair out and damaging it with sulphates and silicones...clarify first with a sulphate free shampoo then switch
acv rinse for hair-soft and shiny hair
boric acid capsules for vaginal infections. magic cure for many women
mineral sunscreen instead of chemical sunscreen which has just been shown in studies to enter the bloodstream
shea butter and coco butter to moisturize body and heal scars and discolouration

Protip IF you struggle with UTIs- Have 450MG Cranberry softgels on hand. Between hydrating and ingesting the softgels (whether you drink the extract out of the softgel or let it digest) will often kill a UTI that is starting.
HOWEVER if you aren't getting better after 24-48 hours, go to a Urgent Care or Emergency Room. UTIs can spread to your kidneys and lead to death.
