Please Help - New Waitress at Club w/ No Help, Advice??
Hi all!
I got hired as a waitress at a pretty decent strip club just a few days ago. Well, the first two nights were absolutely horrible. My first night training, the girl explained everything to me and it was going good at first, but then she started to abandon me after only 15 minutes into my shift. I’ve never been a waitress before let alone at a strip club so all the info she gave me was a lot to take in and it was confusing at first. So I decided to sit at the bar with the other new girl who was training with someone else to see if she could help me better but she seemed to have a “I do t like new people because it messes with my money” attitude about her which I can understand but you can’t expect new people to not come in to work, especially a club. The next day I came in I got in trouble for what I wore, but the girl who trained me had the exact outfit on and didn’t get in trouble, wth?? Anyways, they all are very cliquey, so I’m all alone working, so do any of you have any tips to help me out since I’m sure I won’t be learning any from them? After she left me I just watched to get a better understanding of how everything operated and I get it now, so I just need advice on how to build a good clientele. How to approach customers to get good tips etc. thanks for all the help!

I waitressed a few years ago at a club. I had to buy this stupid box thing to clip onto my tray to hold money so I wrote down on a notecard drink prices and kept it in there. Also watch your section and constantly be walking through and clearing empty glasses and bottles. Putting down clean ashtrays (if they smoke in there). Do this so no one else comes and takes your customers. Also I never gave them their coin change unless they asked. This is how I was taught by the other girls and only cheap douches asked for their quarter.
Find a way to ask about for a tip without directly asking unless you can sound super playful.
Make friends with the strippers and work with them to make money. By doing this I had dancers who would literally tell their regulars who gave me just a dollar or 2 "no baby she deserves more than that" and suddenly I'm being handed a $20. This works both ways if you see a dude who's counting his quarters practically to buy a drink tell her not to waste her time and if you see a man with a wallet full of cash send your favorite stripper to him..she should tip you in return if she lands a good sale.
Ummm...I can't think of much else. Lol
