As long as people continue to overreact and follow hype instead of actual fact. Yes its contagious, No it doesnt kill everyone who gets it. The actual recovery rate for those who get infected under the age of sixty five is 99.5 percent. The .5 percent are those with pre existing respiratory conditions, are immuno-compromised, or other ailments that get aggravated by the intense flu like symptoms.
Over the age of 65 the mortality rate increases with age and still if they are healthy prior to infection have a 96% recovery rate if not ignored. These numbers come from a Doctor and Nurse Practitioner I have known for years and come from channels behind the media circus.
Other than Italy who had its social healthcare system overwhelmed and Iran where they seem to be letting it spread for political reasons, all other initial countries are beginning to report a falling number of new infections.
Wash your hands with soap, and keep up basic hygienic behavior.
Idk, good ? tho..
I personally think it's something unleashed to fuck w/the economy
Tried a few places, including online to buy stuff & couldnt besides all the horrendous stuff it's caused/causing>:(
This is a good question. I keep reading that we need to “flatten the curve”...which I am all for. But I’d be curious at what “infection rate” and time frame would be long enough for a flat curve. Which I can’t find an answer for.
When will things go back to normal!? It’s making my anxiety so bad! I know it affects the whole world and it’s out of our control but it’s f**king up cam so much! I’m so scared I’m gonna lose everything :(
Hopefully it ends soon. My state closed all schools in the entire state until April. Stores nearby are out of toilet paper, hand soap, and some food items. Our major airport was closed too, due to a Coronavirus infected person having been there. It's crazy.
Probably until summertime, once most people have been infected. It looks like it can survive high temperatures in places like Singapore, so we can expect warm temperatures to not necessarily affect the virus.
While the panic directly hurts our industry, it is a good thing. The more people quarantine themselves, the less beds taken up in hospitals which allows doctors to treat more patients effectively overtime. With our doctor shortage and limited amount of hospital beds, quarantine is the most effective option.
I was thinking it would help camming because there's no physical contact. A lot of men may be reluctant to go to a strip club or escort and risk getting the virus, so they'll go online instead. Also, with the cancellation of all of these sporting events and fewer people going to bars and restaurants, a lot of men may be stuck at home with nothing to do.
I was thinking the same thing too. I imagine that it's part of the their pitch now. "avoid the coronavirus and spend time with me"
I think things are going to stabalize in mid April.
My income has taken a huge hit but I’m trying to keep a good attitude.
“ Slow “ life and family time. Make the best of it . Don’t pout .
For most people it seems to be a three week cycle. Incubation 10-14 days. Then sick a week.
So if everyone is “ ahead “ of it via all these closures it’s going to help tremendously .
Just slowing down and keeping to yourself for 3-4 weeks isn't too hard considering the impact it can have.
This is a morbid thing to say but-
COVID 19 is gonna run its course. & The bulk of the victims are going to be older people who already have respiratory distress issues or underlying health issues that worsen with these kinds of added illness.
There's always been a bit of truth to the idea that it's easier to get exposed to additional viruses and bacteria at hospitals and group homes. A famous coroner on the West Coast said that it's not dead bodies that harbor illness that will kill you when you go pick one up to bring into the morgue, it's that dead guy's room mate "who coughs on you." This is kind of well known in occupations that involve dealing with sick people and dying people.
I don't want to go on and on b/c it sounds like it's in bad taste to do so. I will say that people who have been apprehensive about getting sicker now have good reason to be concerned. The rest of us, we're just here to clean up the mess.
To the OP, new infections will probably cease once the temperatures get above 27 degrees centigrade (80F) and consistently stay there during the day. In my area, probably around the first of April. This is not an airborne disease, you have to touch someone with the virus or be sneezed on by someone with the virus. That's why it doesn't spread too fast. The fatality rates for the young are extremely low. Even for the aged, the fatality rate for those infected is fairly low, about the same as pneumonia from any other cause. The key is to wash hands frequently, practice safe food preparation practices. The real problem is the panic. I am appalled at people's reaction. All I can do is wonder.....

I really wish ppl would realise that panic-shopping is actually now causing the shortages...
Most of the people in this forum aren't at high risk themselves, but anyone with small children or a baby, or anyone that takes care of, or spends time time with elderly parents could be putting others at risk if they catch it. What's bad about this virus is, some people could have it and not even know it. Not everyone who catches the virus becomes sick, which is why it could spread so easily.
the club i'm dancing at said he's staying open no matter what.
Flattening the Coronavirus Curve
One chart explains why slowing the spread of the infection is nearly as important as stopping it.

I don't know but I'm already beyond over it and I hope that if things aren't better in a few weeks we will just get to say fuck it and go on with our lives instead of continuing on with quarantines and panic shopping. It doesn't seem like the actual virus is that bad. If rather take my chances with the virus than deal with the hysteria.
^ It's funny. I'm having a day like that too. I've been living pretty down scaled ( just mellow time with family the last 5-6 days ) as numbers climbed up in our state a bit.
Definitely having a day where I'm kind of like " meh, I actually think I'd be fine if I got it ". So .... I go back and forth a bit I guess.
Federally funded tests conducted by scientists from several major institutions indicated that the novel form of coronavirus behind a worldwide outbreak can survive in the air for several hours.
A study awaiting peer review from scientists at Princeton University, the University of California-Los Angeles and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) posted online Wednesday indicated that the COVID-19 virus could remain viable in the air "up to 3 hours post aerosolization," while remaining alive on plastic and other surfaces for up to three days.

I'm sorry I don't have the original source to cite. I was watching a news interview and the doctor said if the curve flattens out he expects in about 8 weeks things will go back to normal-in the sense of being aware and still washing hands. In 8 weeks, we'll have more information and be able to take calculated risks. All of this is out of an abundance of caution. This too shall pass. Don't panick. If you having savings now is a great time to take a break from dancing. If you can't stop working Just keep hustling and practice self-care. Now is an excellent time to look into camming or PSO work. Also, I assume uber eats, door dash, etc could be profitable although there's a risk vs benefit to consider.
Who knows but the governor of NY said it could be 6 months.
Several months. This is especially true now that social distancing is rapidly being implemented. They are hoping to slow the virus spread in order to prevent huge strains on hospital systems and to buy time to develop treatments and vaccines. The other side of that coin though is that it is expected to linger a lot longer than it would if it was simply allowed to wash through. Time will tell which course might have been better.
