Can't believe they did it anytime around then. But I guess the silver lining is more people know about it now.

Yes, some of us are still protesting, and I will continue to do so while I have all this free time with my job shutdown (and the bus service I rely on to get to/from work is still shut down). I just attended my 6th one on July 4th. I wish people wouldn't lump peaceful protesters into a category with the violent folks who wish to start shit/riot...not that I think that's what you intended in your post. Every protest I've participated in was peaceful, and besides the four punk asses who stood on the top level of a parking garage yelling racial slurs at a woman and her daughter, there were no problems. Just the occasional Trumpster driving by and giving us the finger, yelling "GO HOME!", or yelling "ALL lives matter!" *eye roll*
^thanks for sharing your experience
I’m surprised people were out still protesting this weekend because I thought it would be one protest and done. But it’s good to see people doing something/standing up for justice
I'm a white dude. I protested here in Saint Louis. I saw what they did to George Floyd and it made me sick to my stomach. Also that Brianna girl that they murdered. This shit is ridiculous and needs to stop. There are good cops, even ones that arrested me, but we really gotta get rid of these guys.
Can YOU hold your breath for nine minutes? I can't. How did this asshole not know George was going to die?
I've read they had a prior issue. They definitely worked in the same club, though in different areas, and that means they knew each other, at the very least. In some clubs, it's easy to get into it with other guys that work there--I've had it happen several times, where I was ready to go at it with motherfuckers. ;D
Plus Officer Whackjob got in trouble there for using excessive force. Surprise surprise!
Yeah, but officer whackjob needs to go to PRISON. They have to start enforcing that, whatever the cop union says. Make EVERY officer know that they can be held to account if they do something like this crap.

She's definitely badass!
Portland, Oregon. 54 nights of protests and the Feds have sent in their SS.
This is a singular time in the history of the USA. The civil unrest is rivaling or perhaps exceeding the tumult of the late 60s/early 70s. One important difference being that the 60s movement was largely youth oriented. Right now, people from diverse age groups and backgrounds are out there.
^and they should be.
Mayor Ted of Portland was tear gassed by federal agents while he was listening to the crowd. Did they not know he was there?

While the government ignores cities' pleas for federal assistance in controlling gun violence, it seems eager to deploy troops to more and more cities to "disarm" and destroy largely peaceful demonstrators standing up for the liberties we are entitled to by our Constitution. It may be coming to our own cities and towns soon. Viva la Resistance.

Just thought i'd mention, i brought up Brianna... It's Breonna Taylor. I misspelled her name and wanted to correct myself.
She deserves better than that.
you realize that many are protesting because there will be no murder trials? I can't name one cop who's actually got life in prison for murdering black person. And Breonna Taylor still has no justice. Many are justifying her brutal murder because her boyfriend shot one (1) warning shot to the floor. Basically saying black people don't have the right to protect themselves in their own homes or shouldve gone to question the people he thought were breaking into their house at night. sick.
That's how it used to be. I'm sorry, but it is. Now, SO MANY PEOPLE are pissed. They don't do anything about this they are going to lose their jobs. As for Breonna wait and see, you might just get a ray of light. I hate to say this to you, but look at all the white faces that are in there protesting for her (And George). Things are changing.
I know, i was one of them. Have some faith.
