Staying in my house and working on videos. Camming is usually slow for me on the 4th, but I want to have a lot of content to post after because I've noticed my clips usually sell really well the day after a holiday.
Trying to keep my dogs from hyperventilating to death :(
I'm glad they cancelled so many fireworks shows here, it's an absolute tinderbox. We've had so many fires lately, my mom almost had to evacuate last week...
My friend just bought a boat and we are gonna spend the day at the lake on his boat. I've been on it before and love it! I'm excited :) there's gonna be a few other people on it too so it'll be fun
make some money
Long weekend at the beach, just like last year. My friend’s children were especially excited for it.
Willl you do any fishing?
I'm having dinner with my parents early in the evening, and staying home with my cats the rest of the night. I'm not a big Fourth of July person. I hate loud noises and fire/explosion type things. Also, I just don't feel comfortable going anywhere. Covid is spreading like wildfire in South Florida.
I'm staying in & away from the ppl that insist on going out around others & celebrating. I'm hoping they shut down ALL beaches everywhere this year to get this thing under control! There's a time & a place for celebration & right now is not it.
Setting online thirst traps. Trying to fit in at least 10 mins of cardio. Even though I'm having ball of feet pain due to lifting weights, and a butt workout where I was standing on one foot at a time a lot. There will be fireworks in every yard around my place which I'll try to block out noisewise. Watching YT which I have become addicted to. Try on some new beachy-wave extensions I impulse-bought. Try to practice taking pictures to post online. I am so burned out on taking selfies. I have been since literally around 2010, but I need to discipline myself.
Be at home with food for sure. Going to try out a recipe for potato salad. My dog isn’t going to be too Hopi tomorrow but I’m sure some snacking on some human food will make him feel better :p
I'm laying in bed, watching netflix and trying to keep my calm dog. Otherwise, being basic aka drinking wine and eating chocolate squares.
Beach then pool then beach
I spent the day at a BBQ with my extended family and then...
Well, after sheltering in place for about 3 months I had a someone who I got friendly with from the parties I use to be involved with give me a call and invite me to a bit of club crawl in Eastern PA around the Phillie area, where the S-C's had just reopened.
Yes, I behaved myself... more's the pity. :D
It was great to catch up with a friend and socialize.
All around a pretty great day.
I was snow birding near the Mets Training Camp when it all went south and they closed it all down. Spent the rest of a couple of months looking out my window at the great digs I had right on the beach, with nothing much to do. It was pretty, but boring.
Got out of Dodge though just in time, before it really got bad down there, and came back up to God's Country up in the foothills of the NY/NJ/PA border. The beach is GREAT, but its prettier up here in the Summer than sweltering down there in the 95 degree heat and 90% humidity. :D
On July 4th I got my son's hair cut, and then crossed the street to get that delicious Peach Passion Fruit drink from Dunkin' Donuts, and then participated in a peaceful protest for a few hours. After that, I went to Rita's and got a fudge sundae with M&Ms, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. :) Then I visited my parents' house for a few hours and hung with them and my lil' sis and her kids. Then I ended the night at my favorite karaoke spot. What's funny is I didn't see a single firework on the 4th, because whenever someone set them off, I was either indoors for karaoke or I was standing outside in a spot (waiting for a Lyft) where I couldn't see any fireworks. Lol. But people have been setting off fireworks all throughout June and July, so I did see them then.
The casinos were all closed, and I couldn't find any decent house poker games.
That puts a crimp in my vacation plans down there because it usually pays for itself.
So with nothing open, having to to pay for it all out of pocket, and the C-19 numbers starting to spike it was time to head back north.
I sat at home for the first time. There's a pandemic going on. :)
