Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I want a tiny office for the backyard! I'd totally go out there in it to work and to escape/get a break from my kids lol

IKR? Soo cute!
We have room here, the Nazi zoning people wouldn't allow it.
I'm going to start looking into more work at home jobs
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I’ve thought about buying one of those tiny homes and using it for a AirBNB. I have the space for it. I stayed in one of those when I did the AirBNB thing once. I would run hookups for power, water, and sewage though, rather than the setup they used, which was an extension cord and garden hose.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
When our maintenance guy was fixing the plumbing, he temporarily hooked up our water thru the garden hose,so we could wash our hands/flush toilet.
A mouse gnawed some valve. He had to cut into the side of the house, + dig a huge hole to fix it. 3 days it took.
It was in the little house behind ours, that's where the well is.
I stayed in an old '63 Airstream trailer for an Airbnb, yipes.
Told the guy to put a tarp down, (& secure it, which he didn't secure it).
It blew off, luckily my electronics weren't ruined from the leaks.
Plus not much water, had to pour water down toilet to flush, which they supplied.
They offered to let me use the shower in the house but nah.

Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I'm short so I might have an easier time with the tininess, but I have an awful lot of stuff. Maybe rent a storage locker.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I've always wanted a tiny house! But I'm super not comfortable driving around with one that would be hitched or something like that. I would really like a cottage type place honestly. I have a one bedroom apartment and I even sometimes think about having a studio, but a tiny house would be nice because I wouldn't have to be connected to anyone else. My neighbours are ummmmmm crack heads lmfao but that's what I get for the cheap rent.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Yes! I have always been intrigued by this idea.

Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I could put something like that in my yard. Plumb it properly, have it metered so whoever is in it takes care of their own utilities. Then whoever lived in it would also have more privacy, as well.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I am materialistic and have way too many things to fit into a tiny home! lol. I am such a clothes horse, I need to have big closets. I also like having lots of space where I live, so a tiny home just wouldn't work for me. I do however think they are super cute and whoever builds them is super talented!

Yes, I have 2. You pay thru ass for them, they jack up the rent every year, sometimes sooner.
They charge late fees, (25.00), & if you default they auction your stuff.>:(

I totally want a tiny house.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
I have a tiny !
Technically it’s a cabin and it’s only accessible 7 months a year due to elevation .
If anyone is curious about it PM me. Since I can’t be there year round ( someone more hardy probably could though ) it’s more like a fun toy but it’s paid off and I technically have 6-7 months now a year of very low cost living .
In the winter season it’s a dry cabin with no water .
Last year I got internet access . It didn’t have it prior !
Mine is a permanent structure it’s not on wheels like you see some that have the ability to move.

Nice!
I saw this very small house, it's on someone's property in the area, I guess technically it's a tiny?
It kinda looked like it might be on the verge of a year down, but last I saw they were fixing it up?
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
^ You could always introduce yourself and ask about it !
Maybe they would rent it .
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Yeah, that might be an idea..
I believe its someone running a business, & they live on the property too.
A lot of people do that around here
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Alot of those tiny house are not up to code, Im told
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Honestly, I don't think I could live in a Tiny Home. If it's what you wanna do, knock yourself out, but I'm fine with the one I've got.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Well, good for you, Im in a small space now, so..
I just want some where that's mine not subjective to a landlord or roomz
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
The space where I want to put mine is already cleared, as the previous owners wanted to put up a hot tub and gazebo and an entire outdoor kitchen but never followed through. I’m looking at prefab structures now, but I gotta figure out what sort of floor plan I’d go with… single living area, separate rooms with a common kitchen, etc.
Re: Tiny Homes/Tiny Offices
Well, I own my home, so...
Like I said, if you can live in a Tiny Home, do so. But I don't think I could. When I get a story idea I tend to pace around thinking about it. Need space for that.
