GOD this election is killing me.
I mean when the fuck are these states going to be called? It's pretty clear Biden won. I mean STOP THIS SHIT. How long does this shit take?
I'm on the TV all the time. I don't even write anymore (whenever this stops I will, but right now no, and my publisher is NOT happy about this). THIS IS KILLING ME. Land this stuff! There's five states that have been not called in days. When the fuck do they get called? Bunch of senate races, no call.
This is irritating.
I mean Dudetts and Dudes, are they ever gonna figure this election out?

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
It is in the best interest of all to not declare until we count all we can. This is how it actually goes every time. We are actually pretty good at counting votes here. The media is just slightly pissed they have to be patient while also lapping up the ad revenue the anticipation brings

I get the feeling it's more for the TV audience.

Um, everyone else gave their shit in. Why are five states still grey on MSNBC's map? Like, literally 45 states gave their information. Fox awarded Arizona to Biden, but i don't really trust them. I mean, get your shit together people.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
I know! I'm not watching any news channels until the election crap is over. I hate the orange turd and would love to see him out of office but I'm not allowing myself to get excited yet until it's officially announced that we'll have someone new.

Those other states for the most part are still counting. The margin of error has been surpassed, thus called. My state is still counting, Alaska has barely started.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
Alaska is going to go Red, no doubt about it, it always goes red. Surprisingly Arizona and Georgia may both go Blue. But Trump is throwing Spaghetti against the wall and trying to make it stick (Hint: It isn't sticking), his constant lies bother me.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
I read that the election isn't officially over until Trump either concedes or is forced out of office on Jan. 20.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
I assume once PA finishes counting votes, Biden will be considered the winner, but Trump will most likely contest it for as long as he possibly can.
-
Re: GOD this election is killing me.
Trump won't get anywhere. The Supreme Court can't install him as President. They don't have the power. Only the people can.
I really hate this guy. The Monster in the White House.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
I like this one quote I saw on Twitter:
Maybe Nevada should bring in strippers and casino dealers to count the ballots...they’d be done in like thirty minutes

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
I hate to sound self righteous, but I think it’s an opportunity to practice detachment and get on with the business of living. I certainly understand the feeling of wanting it to be over.

Chéri, that's kind of hard to do in the midst of this Pandemic. I want to get rid of Trump because I want someone whom will actually tackle this! Trump will not do it. He actively lied to us about it!

I feel this.
It's surreal to think of how this is going to look in history books.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
There's no pathway for Trump in Pennsylvania, Biden wins that - He's the President. And that's that. He's over 270. Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada are just gravy. Trump can ask for all the recounts he wants, he still won't get it.
Shit, everyone in the fucking WHITE HOUSE is getting the Virus. Donald Trump can't even protect his own HOME, what makes anyone think he can protect US from it?

Eagle had it before mainstream media:

QUOTABLE:
“This is Nevada. You’d think in this state we’d be good at math and good at counting numbers. I thought we would be more on the cutting edge because of all the other technology that goes on in our city.” — Michelle Johnson, professional singer and longtime Las Vegas resident.

That’s exactly what happens when brainwashed people elect a z-list reality TV star as leader of the country
However the most rational people are about tired of the dog n pony show coming from the WH
Possibly level 10 narcissism-means he’s going to milk every last second

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
Counting isn't finished yet, but currently, compared to four years ago, he picked up 1% more of the total share and 7 million more votes. The lesson should be that national populism is here to stay. Watch out for 4 years of rallies, a new TV channel, etc building that base for a 2024 run (or Don Jr, Ivanka, someone else getting propped up by a kingmaker).

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
Trump is a Misogynist, it won't be Ivanka.
BTW, it COSTS to have a recount. Like MILLIONS of dollars. So Trump will be flushing MILLIONS of dollars down the toilet, and considering the amount of states he needs to recount, all for like 600 votes. Do you really think he's gonna do that? It'll still show the same thing. He won't do that. Comes out of his pocket. Once he hears the price tag, he won't do it. He'll just create a new Fox News Network, and sit there and get fat on cash. Trump TV, I don't know.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
Biden stole the election fair and square lol.
Seriously , Trump ought to graciously concede and wish Biden well FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY !
The hurdles are just too high. There are too many states involved. Was there some vote fraud ? Definitely , but SO WHAT ? There are just not enough questionable votes to make up the difference.
Trump LOST ! I know he hates to lose but it's part of life. If not for Covid he would probably have been reelected on roller skates. Also he turned off far too many suburban housewives which let Biden flip too many districts that Trump won last time. The clincher was Trump's performance in the FIRST debate. If he had been smart he would have let Senile Joe babble on without interruption but Trump couldn't help himself. He can't let anything go ; he is wired to counterpunch and strike back at the slightest provocation and it hurt him.
Now Trump is jeopardizing his legacy which is pretty good for a one-term President. I'm not going to list all his accomplishments but he was effective and consequential. The longer this drags on the more he looks like ( in Bill Maher's words ) " a whiny little bitch ".
Concede and move on. Focus on 2022 and 2024.
He is set up to be a kingmaker for the Republicans .

Not true. It is when the Electoral College votes on December 14. Biden has the votes. Trump does not.
Trump conceding DOES stop recounts , audits and lawsuits and he ought to do so. I'm not sure he will. With Trump the words " good grace" do not naturally roll off the tongue.
Perhaps it will take a group of adult Senators to go to Trump and tell him to concede a la Goldwater, Baker et al going to Nixon in August, 1974 and telling him to resign. Maybe if Hannity and Limbaugh stopped kissing Trump's ass long enough to think seriously, rationally and LONG TERM they could tell Trump to hang it up. I wish they would but I doubt it.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
^ Yep, I agree. Trump apparently lost. Now we'll have to see how Biden does. We'll see.
If we dislike him, we can just vote him out in 2024.
On the plus side, I'm writing again! Happy about that!
Been glued to the TV for the past WEEK!

I doubt we are going to be voting out Biden. It is highly likely we will be voting out President Harris.

Re: GOD this election is killing me.
^^^^ Actually you highlight a BIG reason why Trump lost. Too many people do not like him. And although the media deck was stacked against him Trump reveled in the hatred of the "Swamp" and other quarters.
When Reagan was elected, George Will threw a dinner party at his Washington home for the Reagans and Washington insiders. They got to see that Reagan did not have horns and a tail ; that he was not an irrational warmonger ( quite the contrary in fact ) and that in short Reagan was a nice guy. He did Reagan a world of good going forward. Both Reagan and Will recognized that there was a big difference between getting elected and governing. Obama tried the same thing by dining with Larry Kudlow, Steve Moore and other conservatives. It didn't help because Obama ignored a LOT of the excellent advice he received. The point is that Trump never tried to do anything of the sort. It was bare knuckled Tweeting and name calling right from the start.
