Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Hi sisters <3
I came to Mexico with another dancer who is Mexican who had ulterior motives regarding me, was dishonest, manipulative, and .... I’m really just speechless.
I had planned to move to Mexico in to one of the calm beach areas at the tip of the peninsula to continue lursuing my passion of music in paradise that is the fraction of the price, in March, after saving up some money. I dance fkr my income but I really do music and modeling. I’ve been in a couple of runway shows in la, the Grammys, and recorded to nice songs. My roommate convinced me to go this last week, (but I was also excited to start my adventure and new life in Mexico!) telling me I’d make money, I’d be exotic, not to worry about having much money saved up just get hired at a club right away and we work and rebound out money, split Airbnb’s, etc.
Be partners.
The first night we got here, she took me to a few clubs she also works at to get me hired, and then the next day - left me.
I don’t know the language, we’re in Rosarito/Tijuana...
I only do dances, so extras, or sex and have been working in regular low mileage clubs...
These clubs people don’t really dance they just have sex... I had heard stories about this but thought I could still sell dances but that’s not the dynamic.
Since I came with not as much money (because she told me I’d quickly make back what I spend because she’s get me hired right away, and she’s left me so I’ve been paying fully for expenses...) I have less than $100 and just.... an still shocked and stunned. Also, like night I had a horrible experience and was raped by a guy I left the club with who told me he could tell I wasn’t comfortable, from around their, and that we could just go to a cafe and talk about life. I was very vulnerable, and just in shock in general from what my last 48 hours have been, let my guard down, he walked me back to my room, asked to come inside I thought he had good energy from our interaction from the night so I let him in. We talked for some more time, then I was trying to say goodbye and he became handsy and ultimately wouldn’t stop touching me- I closed down... I tried to push him off of me a few times but he’d yank me and I felt afraid for it he really would become violent and I just closed down... and just that happened. I later realized they he could’ve taken my passport and even the little bit of money that I have left but luckily he didn’t. At one point in our conversation he mentioned that if I wanted to find a way to make money tomorrow he I could he’ll give. With finding customers because I’m a pretty girl and he sells drugs... I have a feeling he was a part of the cartel. Just stunned.
I’m thinking I could get to the border, and then into San Diego and work at a club in San Diego and get back in my feel quickly. So I am wondering do any of you live in San Diego and I could stay with you for a few days? And find a club to work at? Or if you are anywhere in California, I’ve worked at the library in Anaheim and the library in Westminister. Or if you are in Phoenix I can get a flight there from San Diego for $40 and then start dancing there but I would just need a place to stay.
I am hoping someone sees this message tonight I feel like I don’t want to be here for one more night, it’s starting to get dark now and I’m just feeling scared... but if anyone could reply tomorrow to this would be such a blessing.
thank you all.
please only respond with positivity or support. I would hope for no one to ever experience any part of what I have just gone through the last few days...
thank you so much sisters,
love,
Nala
ps my number is 949-522-1981 and I haven’t been across the border to be able to put money in my account to pay my phone bill so my phone may even turn off in the next day or so. I’m really hoping for a miracle.

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
i can't really help, but i am sorry you are in this situation.... i've been in similar situations where you think traveling to another place can bring you money, but it turns out to be a total disaster. it's always good to have a backup plan and a decent amount of savings to get yourself out of sticky situations. maybe you can try contacting sex worker mutual aid funds and make a post on twitter? your post could go viral on twitter and people may can help?
-
Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Thank you so much for your kind words sister and this idea. I had never heard of this mutual fund and will look at it now. Thank you.

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
That sounds like a bad situation. I believe you are required to have a business license to dance in San Diego as well? (All I remember was it being a pain in the ass just to work in SD) There is always couchsurfing.com if you can't find someone with a place to stay? I wish I could help more :(.
-
Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
yeah, a license is required in san diego and it cost $3 to use couchsurfing. their best bet is to make a post on twitter and reach out to mutual aid funds. or better yet, probably contact the us embassy?

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
How are you planning to get to the border? Are you able to get some kind of Greyhound bus back into the states?
Edit: I just Googled out of curiosity and found this shuttle service - http://sdtjpassport.com/ It says it's $5.50 to take you from Tijuana or $20 from Rosarita to San Ysidro, CA. It's not San Diego but at least you'd be back in the US.
If you have IG, try hitting up some of the stripper pages for help. Survivetheclub and SwopLA might be able to help.
I did check out your past posts and just FYI you might have a lot of trouble getting hired if you make it to Phoenix. There are a few clubs I can point you to that might accept you though. They do require a license here, it's only about $25 though.

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Hi! I'm so sorry to hear that you're in the situation. In San Diego you do need a permit to dance, and when I renewed it last year it cost me $435. That's just for a renewal, not for starting out. I think starting out you're looking upwards of 600 or so. But I'm not so sure. Also, my club, which is topless, is closed. I think there may be a topless club called Pacers that may still be open but I'm not sure if they have dancers performing. I think the only clubs that are open would be the nude clubs in Kearny Mesa.
I would take that shuttle service if I were you. For one thing, it's very inexpensive and probably safest. Don't take any taxis or Uber in Mexico. Some of them are super sketch so avoid them please at all costs.
I wish I could offer you a place to stay. I live with five men and given what just happened to you I'm not sure if you'd be comfortable around a lot of men right now. Plus with covid-19. We aren't allowing anyone here to have overnight guests stay. I think if you look on Airbnb in San Diego you can find some inexpensive places to stay. Or Couchsurfing. Com as others here have suggested. While I think Airbnb is okay, don't stay with any men you meet from Couchsurfing. Com. At least with Airbnb you'll have your own private room with a lock on the door.
You may also want to visit a Planned Parenthood or a doctor in SD, or contact a rape crisis center for support. Again, I am so sorry he harmed you.
Are you on Twitter? I'll look you up and retweet to my followers that you need help. Try to stay safe and calm. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Thank you for that information and don’t worry, even just your nice message was helpful :)

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
I found some American Expats in Mexico fb groups and one person from there offered to give me a ride tomorrow to San Diego so that’s a blessing. I’m hoping that doesn’t fall through and then I’ll at least be back in the US!

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
I’m very sorry, what is your cashapp?
-
Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Hello! I made some posts in some expat groups and so far a few people have offered to give me a ride back, I am hoping they are good people and thinking so! I am going to call the Phoenix clubs when they open here in an hour and ask what you mentioned about the license and to see if they’re hiring. Another girl I know said she knows girls who are working at the hilighter room and the raider reed who are doing well. But I do hope the clubs don’t close down soon... I’m hoping I can maybe go to Phoenix in a day or two.

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Hi sister Thank you so much, I am grateful for any amount... my cash app is $xrisxris Thank you so much.
-
Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Have you called the clubs in san diego? CA just enacted another set of lockdowns and I'm unsure if San Diego beat this one (last set they won in the courts and reopened). Nevertheless,That is a super steep price for a permit to start working again in a pandemic!
There was another user here who said she knows of clubs operating clandestinely in LA county, which might be a cheaper option to get going if you make it here and find one.

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
Oh my goodness yes I couldn’t afford the licenses in San Diego, I do feel that I need to get a plan b of some sort because my stomach has been feeling nauseous. I was going to go here to a far mafia but I am unsure if their contraception is the same as ours.... i forget how long you can wait until the contraception doesn’t work, this is going on the second day since it happened... My Twitter is @Xthebeautifulfs I would be so grateful for a post to your followers. Another girl here just asked for my cash app, maybe to put that on it too? It’s $xrisxris any amount even $5 is a blessing to me at this point. The dancer I came here with who was my roommate ended our lease before we came as well, without even talking to me, so I don’t have a home that I’m going back to in the states either. I’m going to have to find a club, work, stay in Airbnb’s/motels for hopefully not too long, and just completely removed/establish myself. So truly, anything I am grateful for. Even if it is just a prayer or good energy! Thank you so, so much sister.

Re: Emergency help, stranded in mex by border.
I didn’t realize that... I’m starting to feel more that Arizona is where I am going to go... I don’t think they ever shut from from the virus either... Also it is cheaper in Arizona the cost of living so I’m thankful for that, I’m just going to calm and double check some clubs there today. Thank you for this information on the Cali clubs, sister, I had no idea and that info is so helpful.

We did shut down from the virus, twice. Our clubs are mostly operating at 50% capacity and only stages. No table/regular VIP dances. I think a couple are doing rooms but they are bullshit with 3-6' distance b/w customer and dancer rules so they're hard to sell.
What I would do in your situation (and I know I already said to PM me) is come into a club as early on day shift as possible, so you get a free or super cheap house fee, and literally camp out all day & night. That way you will at least get all the stage money you can. If you manage to sell a room, even better.
I don't know who gave you info but always take it with a grain of salt. Hi-Liter is stage only right now and they're very greedy to begin with (10% of earnings + house + DJ tipout). Could be worth a try but yeah.

OP, I'm so glad to hear you're in a better place. It's very possible that your friend was trafficked or abducted. I wouldn't assume that she left your side willingly unless you have definitive proof. Just wanted to mention the possibility since betrayal is a tough feeling to overcome.

Yep it sounds like it, they recruit sometimes with females.. Baha I remember back when my sister was supposed to go to Russia and everything went wrong in the past. She called crying not having money in france in transit due to improper documentation willing to marry this idiot for a green card for ballroom dancing.....LOL!!!!! I paid for her hotel years ago before she was able to return back to California shaking my head. Back when I was modeling, got a message on facebook from some female in Dubai about a modeling job...GIRLLLLL I'm not walking in your country to have a passport taken. Some people understand when to run more than others.

Happy everything is working out for you.
Can you tell us what club? What’s is like and all that?
