My dream is to help sex workers who don’t want to do sex work anymore get out. That’s what I want to do when im old AF and no guy will pay to see me naked anymore...LOL.
The article doesn’t say NY made sex work decriminalized. Basically they dropped cases of women standing around minding their own damn business. Still happy though for those girls. I don’t like the victim narrative, but I’ll take it as a win for sex workers. For some of us sex work is work. Not all of us have been kidnapped
^ Baby steps I guess, at least with regards to law enforcement
1) Eliminate police hostility torwards sex workers
2) Make it so they feel safer going to the police for help
3) More violent customers arrested before they continue to perpetrate
4) Finally strike the law from the books.
Poorly written, poorly interpreted, and poorly enforced, this was a useless law. They need to stop bothering professionals and target pimps, bad actors, and real traffickers.
