Watching "On Golden Pond" with Katherine Hepburn and Henry Fonda (and Jane Fonda)
Normally I don't like Jane Fonda all that much, But Katherine Hepburn I do. I'm not that familiar with bunch of Henry Fonda's work. Just didn't resonate I guess. Or maybe I just didn't see it. I don't know. Jane Fonda did something royally stupid during the Vietnam war and because of that I don't really like her that much. But she's pretty good in this movie (She was in Barberella as well, so I guess I have to give her creedos as an actress). This movie "On Golden Pond' was a way for father and daughter to reconcile, and I guess I can't argue with that.
There's this period in the middle of the movie where Henry sort of bonds with his daughter's son, he's a cantankerous old bastard, and Katherine Hepburn plays an Angel (essentially). So far it's pretty good. I haven't watched this in twenty five years.
I think this might have been Katherine Hepburn's last movie, but I can't be sure. She really was a great actress. It's on full display in front of me now.
