A step in the right direction.
They didn’t seem to pursue it too diligently before. I played a couple shows at venues there, and the Sidebar was one of the venues we’d play at, so we’d to a place called Crazy John’s for food, and getting there took us through the red light district and there were a couple places that were pretty open about providing services.
I also picked up a sort of stalkerish stripper. I was there for a two day fest and we played on the second day, so I checked out one of the strip clubs there to see what it was like and I just watched and tipped on stage. A little more generously for one because I thought her stage show was excellent, and so she thought that was a cue that I wanted to buy a dance when I didn’t. So I ended up explaining to her that I strip in North Carolina, I was just curious about clubs in Baltimore, and that I was there for this music fest and we were playing tomorrow, etc. So she showed up at the venue the next day and I don’t think it’s what she was expecting. I also caught an accidental elbow to the side of my face during the set so I was bleeding through most of it, but I didn’t miss a beat. I think that dancer may have had some intentions, especially after she tried convincing me to stay at her place rather than drive back to NC after the show. But I was working the next day, and she was being a little too friendly. And that would end up not being the only time that happened to me, but anyhow.
Anyways, Baltimore seems to have been progressing in that direction for some time, if I’m going to make a guess at it based on how open they were and their unresponsiveness when a police cruiser drove by.
A tiny tiny little shark wants to cook me a meal, under normal circumstances super tempting but it is playing with fire, only unopened drinks in her presence. I kinda lost interest but there is a morbid curiosity as to how far she is willing to take the scam.Quote:
