This is why you use a night depository or be first at the Bank in the morning
This happened to me soooo many times in Koreatown then at my Ralphs ATM. I refuse to use the atm anymore. I think it's great he went to the news over it. I didn't want any problems and called them directly standing at the atm and eventually got my money back immediately while they investigated.
I had a melt down after an atm keptmy freaking card, really?
There was no answer other than, we can't get it back, it's a third party Co that runs the atm?
I had to go to my original bank.. They allowed ppl to use the atm at the other bank.
I got a temp card, but got my regular card by FedX the next day which was a Saturday.
Which was good, since I had to pay rent!
This happened to me a few years ago when I'd just gotten paid from a cam site, and was on my way to buy food for me and my son. I went to an ATM (It wasn't the ATM of the bank I belonged to), and as it was about to give me my money the damn ATM timed out. And of course that money I was trying to withdraw was now deducted from my available balance. I had never had that happen before, but I was so upset and crying and was like "Yup, that sounds like some kind of bad luck I would have!" SMH. I went inside to explain what happened to a teller, and she looked at me like I was crazy and like that's impossible. One of the other women working there heard about what happened, and she had me sit down and she gave me a VISA gift card (Can't remember if it was $25 or $50) out of the kindness of her heart. They happened to be doing some kind of VISA gift card giveaway, and she let me have it since she could tell I could really use it. She had me complete an ATM dispute form, and then I had to wait X days to get my money put back on my card.
Wow, that was really nice of her, BF!
You got $ back, I hope?
Thread reminded me years ago, a lady I worked with, deposit cash, I guess she lost the receipt..
Turned out, they deposited it someone else acct, she went back there a few times but never got it back?
Once I agreed to pay a credit card debt, they wanted me to get a savings account, & they deducted like Idk, 15.00 a month or something like that, onetime (definitely bank error) they took out 150.00!?
Never got that back either, I still have the paperwork both of these true stories happen years
