Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
They interrupted the first 15-20 minutes of General Hospital today to talk about the vaccine...followed by a summary of what was just said. LOL. I was pissy af, and was like damn, why can't they ever interrupt The Drew Barrymore Show instead? Haha. I'll watch the parts I missed later when it's posted tonight on Hulu.

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
2.2 million doses reported administered today — the highest single day total in nearly 7 months.
I was one of those!

I absolutely hate when they interrupt shows for the news. Excuse me, I’m just trying to watch my Dr Phil and Judge Judy!

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
I'm confused, you got yours last Saturday or this Saturday coming up?

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
I'm glad that because of covid more stores offering pickup n they bring it to you in your car.
The best places for ordering online/pickup are Target n Walgreens.
No order minimums and your order is ready pretty quickly.

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
A new variant sufficiently benign it has not put anyone in the hospital, causes an embargo. Is this bout health or arbitrary imposition of dictatorial power.

I ordered online with Walmart yesterday. One of the things I got was wine, but they gave me a huge jar of spaghetti sauce instead! lol I checked the receipt and it said I ordered the spaghetti sauce. Oh well :rotfl:

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
I make a PDF of anything I order.

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
I love Walmart but I will only go early morning or security would have to escort me from and to my car if it's late afternoon no matter what part of town.
A lot of my stuff are from there. #walmarthoe

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
^YES!
Good point Marina.
The best times to go shopping in person (when it's less crowded) is early morning when it opens.
Sadly America is pretty dangerous for women to be out alone shopping at night/after dark (which also happens to be a good time to shop in person),

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
I'm not sure if I'll get the booster or not.
Honestly I'm not a fan of the vaccine (although I am 'fully vaccinated') for my personal situation. So I reluctantly did it.
But the damn booster and all these cotdamn variants is pissing me off.

I agree, where will it end? Variants of the virus and new vaccines, it's like a never ending story.. I'm not to be seen as an anti-waxer, but I think it's time to question the strategy. I don't have the answer, but I'm not qualified to have it, however the people who supposedly are qualified, doesn't seem to have an answer either..

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
Judging by how things are going, there will be new variants. All we can do is live our lives and deal with them as they come.
Herd immunity is off the table at this point. The country still hasn't even reached 60% of fully vaccinated.

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
^agreed..
I'm thankful I can work from home whenever I need to n I don't attend large functions n I avoid sick people at all costs.
There is currently a medium rate of transmission here although the surrounding states have it much worse.

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
Im glad there are now home testing kits.
They can be proctored during the process in case you need a legitimate testing result for school, sports, church, etc.

Re: Covid News Thread Number 500
^^I'm glad there are home testing kits now, too.

i respect everyone’s risk tolerance and boundaries. My mom still is a hermit-fair enough she’s older, but I’m living my life. This is never gonna end, so I might as well do what I can and live my life. That being said. I’m vaccinated and getting tested before I go home. I wear masks when asked, but I’m pretty much living my life.
