Re: stripping anonymously?
Yes, you can absolutely dance anonymously, and i think all of us expect anonymity, even without alterations to our appearances. Most clubs will not allow any photographs / phones out during stage shows, and I've never worked in a club that required us to do promotional material (photos). There's always a risk that someone could snap a shot without you knowing, but odds are extremely low that a low-light shot would even be recognizable or that it would be posted in a way where many people would see it.
I mean, think of the women who openly post shots of their faces on social media... would you recognize any of them walking down the street with no makeup / hair in a bun? Unless you have like a unique face tattoo or something, the odds are basically zero that you could be identified with a random snapshot that some loser might post of your butt on Instagram. You know?
The only possible situation that could come up is if someone you know walked into the club. It's unlikely that you'd even run into each other, especially in a mid-sized club, and you would probably see and recognize them before they'd recognize you. There are obvious ways to handle that very rare situation.
Re: stripping anonymously?
I only work at discrete clubs. :)
I will leave if phones are taken out ( I have also jumped off stage and hid if a phone was pointed my way while bouncer tracked down the person ). So yes discretion is possible. Choose a nicer club with good security ..... obviously ..... for better security !
The other reason phones should not be allowed is for the customers sake.
They should also be able to visit and relax without having pictures taken.
Yes, you can 100% wear a wig while dancing.
Keep in mind too that you look SO different in the club already v.s. normal life .
You will probably spot someone before they spot you and you can decrease risks by working at least an hour away from where you live.
Re: stripping anonymously?
thank you! that's all helpful and after reading my replies and a few other similar threads im pretty convinced I can do this anonymously - I've been thinking about it for a while anyway
do you have any suggestions for discrete clubs or tips on how to be able to tell if a club is prof. before going - you can write to me in pm too if you feel more comfortable.. I still haven't decided which city I will dance in first but it will def. be a few states away minimum and somewhere where I know no-one. mostly was worried about pics and club saving my information

I think all clubs are discrete... there are very few women who want everyone to know how they make their money. I think you'll be able to tell by asking the club questions during your audition process and watching how security behaves during your first few shifts. I've worked in many dives and mid-tiers, and it's kind of understood that customers should not have their phones out... they should be focused on the entertainment. Security will approach people who are fiddling with their phones by the tip rail. Maybe just decline to participate in any bachelor stage shows and stuff like that, as people are more likely to want to take photos / video.
Working multiple states away is exercising an abundance of caution. I've always worked in the cities I've lived in, and I've never had any issues. Your paranoia about working in the industry is much greater than the shits anyone has to give about you working in the industry, if that makes sense... and at the end of the day, dancing is a legal profession.
Re: stripping anonymously?

I totally get it. If you're anything like me, you're probably just a normal girl looking to make some money (you aren't a celebrity, a porn actress, and you don't have any super unique features), and you're probably not very recognizable, generally. Like, even if you posted your own photo of your glammed-up self on social media to try to promote yourself, you'd probably struggle to get much attention, much less if some perv snuck a poorly-lit photo of your asscheek into his instaloser account, lol.
Basically, my experience has always been that no one gives a shit... no one is watching your business like you are. And anyone who is close enough to know your business is also implicated, like the married businessmen buying dances from us.
And as far as clubs go, they audition soooooooo many girls... they do not give a fuck about our identities. You will need to show your ID to prove your age. But clubs have zero motive to use that information for anything sketchy. Some clubs ask for a headshot, but you can just refuse if that comes up. I think I've only had that come up once.

I'm thinking about starting to dance for 1 month- 2 months tops renting an airbnb in a completely new city mainly to pay off this loan I have, anything more than that I make I would put it towards starting a business. Once I pay the loan and have another $10k or so I'm planning to start a business out of the country half way around the world (have family there)
I'm thinking about starting to dance. I already know how to talk to men and get what I want out of them, I have a nice natural hourglass body already but stripping would also help me reach my goal weight even faster since Im wfh now and very sedentary. I'm thinking to get colored contacts and a nice wig that looks good on me but completely changes my look so that I'd be virtually unrecognizable while working. I'm also thinking it'd prob be best for me to stick with the clubs frequented by married old white men rather than the ones frequented w new money/ rappers.
Is it possible to stay anonymous these days while dancing? it seems it was more possible in the past but idk now - I look at clubs social media and see them posting pictures of some of the dancers and also see guys recording in the strip clubs -
are there clubs that will not want you if you dont want to take pictures or be posted on social media?
are there still clubs where guys are absolutely not allowed to take pictures?
would a club have any reason to keep my information or try to expose it afterwards?
to be honest, even if im successful with my business I don't think anyone in the states would know and I would keep a low profile online until people "forget" about me essentially.
is this feasible? to go pretty much under the radar for a few months - make enough to pay my loans and leave the industry / the country - without a trace?
How discreet though? I'm not sure how it goes by state, but when I worked they would send me stripper tax forms in the mail for the clubs I worked at. Is that still happening? Dunno how that would go if you live with someone or even living with family got the mail the day it was sent to you?
From personal experience, my fucking face always gave me away in public no matter how hard I tried to blend in, even at the gym near the club I worked at. It's awful having a distinct face when you want to disappear and people recognize you or being shouted at by someone who knows your club name in front of your mom.
Maybe face contouring would help along with the different colored contacts and a hair color?
Re: stripping anonymously?
thanks I have one of those virtual mailboxes where I just get the mail scanned to me.

Another good thing is the lighting. The dimmer lit the club the better! Some have smoking patios to go outside with dancers...I'd avoid that if you want to be extra safe and not bump into anyone out in public. I hated the part leaving the club at the end of the night with all the customers straggling and standing around watching us go to our cars while they smoked. Like go home and don't look at me or my license plate LOLLL.
Re: stripping anonymously?
Lots of club's have stupid people in them filming especially urban club's and club's that allow big groups of women.
Also phone sex and stripping are completely different. Men might get too excited in a club if you talk to them like you do in phone lines. I have done both its completely different. Also if your not at your ideal weight do you want to be naked in a stage. You should be aiming to be dancing in your best shape. It will help with getting hired too.
Re: stripping anonymously?
Indie, i could definitely see you running into that issue of being recognized - you have a very unique face (gorgeous and unique). Whereas I'm like, generic brunette white girl #967, lol. I never wore my hair down outside of work and would dress like a homeless person to go shopping...i was also a major hermit with zero friends, and i lived a very low-key lifestyle (i wasn't going out to restaurants or bars in my free time, etc.).
I mean honestly, human brains have pretty amazing facial recognition abilities. So OP, if being recognized by patrons is a major concern for you, you will be just fine if you're dancing in a different area than where you live.
Re: stripping anonymously?
I think it's a felony to capture a nude image of someone without their consent, just as a side note. I've never had an issue with people filming in clubs. That said, i could imagine this being more of an issue in urban clubs, where dudes are feeling like they're in a rap video or something.

That's interesting. My home club would chase all customers out the parking lot before we were even allowed to get into our vehicles.
Protip ladies- the "you look familiar...." pick up line is very common. Just ignore or give a deadpan answer if you run into a club customer.

yea I think my mix is rare so it gives me a unique ethnically ambiguous look that I def. wouldn't dare try to dance anywhere near me.. I'm thinking with contacts and a blonde wig I'd be fine though as that would change anyones look completely.. I'm just trying to decide where to choose as it seems some clubs don't like traveling girls and I def. want to get some experience before going to Vegas or something.

Ha this reminded me, most customers are drunk or halfway there when they see dancers.....IMO even the "you look familiar" guys trying to flirt with you have hazy recollection of dancer faces......
Most clubs have info about being traveler friendly (or not) on their social media pages....Or call and ask.

no it's not, in this day and age? seriously?
for every ONE person who is caught taking pictures, there are probably 20 others that were not caught,
somebody could walk into the club wearing glasses that has a video camera in them, you would never know,
they have pens, keychains etc etc with cameras in them these days, you would never know,
google "secret cameras" and you will see
anybody dancing in this day and age should be FULLY EXPECTING to be photographed,
not saying it's right, but it's just reality, and the world we live in
Re: stripping anonymously?
I think anonymous is difficult
Nowadays devices are built for photography in dark environments.
Facial recognition is getting better
Cameras are everywhere.
And if you *really* think about it
None of us has the privacy we think we have.
Our “smart” phones are tracking our every move.
Facebook, Google, etc is tracking us around the internet.
You could try to be anonymous but you gotta do a lot more than throw on a wig to keep it private. You’d have to keep your close friend circle at a distance, get off social media, never give your real cell number out, never get into a pattern, lie to everyone (I mean everyone) about what you really do for work, assume an entirely different persona, work out of town (have you seen fuel prices?), hope n pray you don’t get filmed without your permission, hope that some club patron with a long memory doesn’t remember you when you do decide to get back to normal life, hope the club doesn’t keep paperwork on file for a long time that verifies you working there, and many other identity revealing nuances.
Not to mention the constant fear that someone might blow up the whole operation.
Good luck trying to keep it secret.
Re: stripping anonymously?
I have never even heard of someone having an issue with this, just saying. It's absolutely possible, but the likelihood of someone taking a photo that reveals your identity and actually posting it somewhere in a way that exposes you in a meaningful way is extremely low.
Just my opinion. Obviously no one can guarantee anything, but ...

Lighting in clubs is low for many reasons.
Report any suspected cameras to the bouncers or management, they have their own reasons for stopping that.
Re: stripping anonymously?
I also would never work in a club that allows or encourages that filming behavior. Our bouncers are on top of that, thank god!
You absolutely can strip anonymously but you cannot tell a soul. The club has no reason to put you. Get a good cover story.
Also, I’ve been stripping for 11 years and only saw maybe Two people I knew from
My personal life. And I also have done phone sex and it’s definitely not the same thing. I used my stripper hustle skills to get more money out of the cam and phone sex guys though.!
