Cam model etiquette question
There are several cam models that post on here that I would be interested in seeing online but have no idea of what their screen name is or which site they are on.
Is it considered rude or intrusive to ask them in a PM if they would be ok with providing the information?
The last thing I would want to do is make them feel uncomfortable on SW.

PM them to ask, and then maybe you could start following them on Twitter (If they use Twitter), and tipping them when they're live on cam again.
Re: Cam model etiquette question
sure as hell wouldn't bother me any lol
i don't think anyone would be offended. at worst they just won't respond

The terms "safe haven" and "intrusive" were used.
Oh well, live and learn.
I mean, I know SW doesn't announce "Only pinks allowed in Camming Connection" in big bold letters. But now that you know that CC is a pinks-only area, you probably shouldn't continue snooping over there, and venting about it here in Customer Conversation. Camming Connection is sort of our personal space, even though it's not truly a PRIVATE models-only area. It's not going to kill y'all for us pink members to have ONE section of SW that's truly just for us. I mean, y'all even get to post in the Body Business section, for crying out loud. Be happy that SW allows you so many other areas of the forum to post in.
Two of us models responded to you here in this thread. You didn't show any interest in following us, btw, but that's cool. Haha. :P Just in case you're interested, I am @yummybrownfox on Twitter. Good luck finding whatever it is you're looking for. :)
Re: Cam model etiquette question
Point taken. I took down the post.
To tell you the truth I started reading this forum in 2015 and used to correspond with several cam models that knew I was seeing their posts. Until now nobody has mentioned any issues with it. I know there are verified groups that are private so it didn't occur to me that the accessible threads were considered semi off limits.
Probably best to stay out of them from now on.
Seriously, thanks for letting me know.

Yeah, in the past I've had a troll (from a different forum...now banned from there, though he keeps trying to rejoin under different accounts) straight up spy on my Camming Connection posts here, and then he screenshotted some of my posts to try to use them against me on the other forum. Lol. That's how obsessed he was with trying to make me look like the bad guy. But I think that guy was a misogynist who hates sex workers though. I get the impression you're nothing like that at all, and I'm sure you only have good intentions here on this forum. :) I have to get ready to get on cam. TTYL.
Re: Cam model etiquette question
Yes, they said, PM them, Private Message, but if the forum says "dancers only" don't post in it.
Re: Cam model etiquette question
Posting isn't allowed in any of the CC forums as far as I know. At least it says everything is off at the bottom of my screen. That why I was even iffy on sending PMs based on seeing them in CC, hence the original question. I asked for her Twitter name in PM and told her that it was because I enjoyed her posts, which was true.
I do want to clear one thing up though. I don't think the model's reaction was inappropriate and I'm truly sorry if it sounded that way. My post was meant more along the lines of confirming what I was concerned about and why I thought some models might have negative reactions. Specifically being intrusive and violating what they may see as a safe place. I fully understand why she felt that way and respect it, especially since TheBrownFox mentioned the misuse of screen prints, something that hadn't occurred to me.
The model was very polite in her message and was not negative towards me. When she said intrusive and safe haven she was referring to the situation in the forum, not my PM.
Re: Cam model etiquette question
I can vouch for Omne35. Chatted with him outside of SW yesterday, and he's very cool and respectful. If every cam site member could be like him (Makes good conversation AND tips), it'd be a cam model's dream come true.
