Never was really a fan, yet I can’t stop myself from singing along when that one verse from Bat Out of Hell comes on
Well I know that I'm damned if I never get out,
And maybe I'm damned if I do,
But with every other beat I've got left in my heart,
You know I want to be damned with you
If I gotta be damned, you know I want to be damned
Dancing through the night with you/
Well if I gotta be damned, you know I want to be damned,
Gotta be damned, you know I want to be damned
Gotta be damned, you know I want to be damned
Dancing through the night,
Dancing through the night,
Dancing through the night with you
Damn. I loved his theatrical style. I will miss him.
Definitely breaking out his music today.
I was belting out the words to both the Bat Out of Hell and and Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell albums by the time I was 5. I was constantly asking my parents for change for the jukebox to play them. The first one was my very first CD even in late 90s.
Back when i was working in the booth, Paradise was the go to pee break song since i had a few girls who loved to do that one song for their entire set. report i saw was his family were with him and it wasnt a sudden covid illness.
Very sad. He was a great vocalist! Wish he got vaccinated.
he had one hell of a voice indeed
R.I.P.
The "I would do anything for love, but I won't do that..." memes always cracked me up.
