Re: What's lipo really like?
Saw a few celebs doing EM Sculpting on instagram. It's basically like 20,000 crunches or squats in 1 session.

I hear you need massages afterward. How many and how painful are those?
Also, how long before I should be able to go back to dancing?
I know there are different types of lipo. I'm planning on having it done while awake if that matters.
Thanks for the info!
I haven't had it done, but there are serious risks.

Have you tried dieting and exercise?
Re: What's lipo really like?
Girls have told me it's really painful. You have to maintain yourself afterwards or when you put weight on it looks horrible.
Re: What's lipo really like?
On traditional lipo, never had it but have also been told that the recovery is extremely painful and long. I'm not up-to-date on all the latest more non-evasive options. I have also been told that it comes back, I know people who have had the same areas lipoed multiple times and still gained it back, and that it can change how your body distributes and displays fat.
Re: What's lipo really like?
It’s not bad at all, but it doesn’t really do as much as the general population would claim. I’ve had a few rounds of lipo and also many rounds of a laser type of lipo (sometimes combined with lipo) and it’s very helpful for your body shape and the overall contour and silhouette of your body. I would do it for that, no problem. But it’s not and has never been for weight loss, and I kinda wish people stopped saying that smh. I also enjoy lipo because it prevents water weight from accumulating in the treated area, since fat cells are where water weight hides. The scale will not reflect the surgery in any way or shape; but your body will have a tighter and more defined look to it. It’s also not instant, results usually take some time to see.
Edit: I apologize I didn’t answer the most important part, does it hurt? For me I was bruised up a lot after the traditional lipo but I didn’t have any pain tbh. Just alternated between Tylenol and ibuprofen for a few days and lots of water and protein. I don’t care for opiates so I don’t take them, but there will be a script for opiates if you have pain. I really don’t think it was all that serious pain wise. More so embarrassingly ugly bruises.

yes on the radio frequency, I believe the brand name is Vanquish? I know it has other names but this is what I remember. The thing that goes over your stomach and back, YES. That thing works. Drink a ton of water and do that. You will not regret it.
Re: What's lipo really like?
I don't know about the stomach, but I had a small amount done on my bum/upper thighs for a fat transfer about 14 years ago. It caused some permanent uneveness that looks like cellulite ridges in that area, in an almost identical pattern on each side - it remains even when I lose weight and most of my other cellulite.
So I think it can potentially disrupt the tissues permanently and unpredictably.
I don't remember being in much pain from it, though.
Re: What's lipo really like?
From what I've seen on my favorite surgeon's instagram, she recently introduced a procedure, called BodyTite. It's simmilar to lipo, but less painful and yeah, it's something I am gonna definitely consider after having kids, to get rid of the belly pooch.
I can't give you links from my country, as it's not in english, but I found this site that says what it is: https://plasticsurgeryvips.com/blog/...reatments-work and they also have a gallery with before- after pics https://plasticsurgeryvips.com/befor.../body/bodytite
So yeah, I guess you can get interested and research more about bodytite. Seems a little more advanced than traditional lipo. I am actually surprised to see how much those surgeries have evolved thorougth the years.
Edit: I found this site and looking at before/ after pics, I noticed on this patient, same 2 incisions that I've seen on that surgeron's (that I follow) patients: https://www.bodytitenyc.com/bodytite...fter-patient8/
So yeah, the more fit you are, the better it's gonna look when it's done. And the scaring is waaay less than regular lipo.
