30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
Editing let's request a higher pay out? Let's create a group and arrange this
For those who don't have as many site issues I'm glad for u! But the site isn't working effective enough to justify a high cut, for example 2 hours just to log in the other night due to system problems, custies not able to get their C2C. Exl and pvts dropping ect
Now hear me out
Imagine atleast 50 % pay out. We're business people so it's only fair we get atleast 50 50
I know 50 may not be the one they agree too but it's a starting point to negotiate
Even if it ends up our rate stays the same but we get higher percentage on our tips or even maybe a bigger cut of gold show. It's a starting point for the conversation to be had
Now there's many scenarios where this is win win for us and SM
Of course I know not all models will do this, this is based on a majority, I respect and understand many models have perfected their hours and rates and hell yeah they should keep that way but again many would be comfortable with the follow
First off with a higher payout many of us would put in more hours meaning more customers for us, more money for us and more money for SM
All around us models and SM make more money than the current 30 to 35%
ORRRRR
Higher % payout on gold shows... Imagine that. That's automatically going to bump up the gold shows being done, more models would do it!
My point being either way SM win and make money by increasing our pay out
For those of you who have long term experience I get you've built your business and income and I'm so happy for u! Amazing
We deserve more! And we need to come together and fight for this. Sending individual feedback doesn't seem to do the job

Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
And how would they pay out their affiliates? You know the people that send us traffic?
-
Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
The more we make the more they do, if you read my thread fully you'd see i gave examples of how it increases our income and custom which brings SM more money too
I looked at both sides :)

Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
There's already the option of bringing your own traffic to double your payout... It's tough to get sign ups and the models who do deserve the extra pay bc we could have sent that traffic to LoyalFans or MFC or anywhere else instead.
-
Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
Yes I'm aware of the option and understand some people are happy with how pay outs are set which is fine
This is for those who feel we deserve more, I understand the long time models have built their business and regulars over many years. My opinion all of us deserve a little more
-
Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
I'm registered on sites that pay out 80%, some 50%, but they are not able to provide me with the traffic I need to make them my main site. I don't think that's a coincidence.
I could always go work on MFC, but for me they just don't have enough paying viewers.
-
Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
If I were to back any battle right now it would be to get ALL models to 35%. So nasty that they do that. And get firm answers of how/when to negotiate our percentage above that. Of course I WANT more.

How is it fair SM keep 70% yet the site crashes at every point-unable to login, pvt and Excl dropping. C2C not connecting, goldshows cutting out, customers not being able to get into our room
The list goes on
Now hear me out
Imagine atleast 50 % pay out. We're business people so it's only fair we get atleast 50 50

First off with 50 % many of us would put in more hours meaning more customers for us, more money for us and more money for SM
Or
Some of us couls decide to drop rates for example
My Excl is 5.99 which gets me around 1.79 pm. Now with 50% If I drop to 4.99 I make more per minute which equals more customers potentially meaning more for SM
My point being either way SM win and make money by increasing our pay out
Please feel free to add more points and again
We deserve more! And we need to come together and fight for this. Sending individual feedback doesn't seem to do the job
Send you request to the companies and hope they make changes.

Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
I don't do social media so the fact that they bring in the traffic is worth a lot. I'm sure that they have a lot of overhead too. There are a lot of terrific guys on SM.
I used to work a site that payed 50%. The amount of traffic was okay but but I didn't see much quality like SM.

I get your point however coming from a sales background as well as adult entertainment, why start with the lowest figure why not back 50 %? What's the worse they say no and offer an alternative

OK maybe for some the site works fine so that traffic is actually a benefit, but for many all that traffic and the site crashing isn't ideal. Pvts and Excl cutting out, login issues I could go on, it's like having lots of traffic stuck in a one way street instead of it running smoothly

Again same as my other replies I'm not looking at it from one angle
As per my original post, by paying higher they receive higher as a company, models committing more hours or even reducing rates because they can afford too with a bigger pay out which in turn brings in more customers equaling more money
-
Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
I think a lot of the replies are either not reading my full post or misinterpreted what I said
Example one 50% pay out entices models to work more hours, meaning they make more money which in turn brings more customers equaling more money for SM
Example 2 models reduce rates even by a dollar would make more, the increase in paying customers makes more for SM
Also imagine 50% pay out on gold, that'll be a huge increase in models doing gold shows
Either options bring more money to us models as well as SM they don't lose out, they make more if anything
-

Sounds good in theory but if that were true everyone would have moved over to Chaturbate or MFC. Also I find lowering prices just means less money for me and really poor quality customers. Customers who go for the lower prices often can only stay a short time. My shows have gotten longer since I raised prices at the beginning of the year.

Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
Honestly, the percentage wouldn't bother me as much if we had decent model support in return. forking over such a high amount of my earnings stings when I can't even get in touch with anyone from support besides just Liz. I'd probably rather rally for better model support even a 24 hour support like the customer side has. but I do think there is something to be said for increasing the percentage. Clearly even they see the value in that as they use it as a bonus occasionally to lure models online

because it is likely that they would still keep a tiered system if mostly western non studio models are making that demand and they give in. better to show it is affordable while righting a wrong before pissing of the affiliates/studios. Unless you are bringing them something new in terms of earning potential they are not gonna share that sweet spot percentage they could afford to grant us.

but yeah sure if it was an effort to start high to get it more equitable that might work, I just doubt it. 50% is very unrealistic for their business model.

Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
this is going to be long lol but the argument from me is:
it would be so nice but i can say working only "big box" ppm websites since 2009, that your idea has been played out many times and failed. (im not being snarky and honestly hate public conversation about what we earn)
single models/big name porn models will not bring the traffic big affiliates bring and if they do its for the model and not enough to cater to almost 3k models online at any given time.
i for one will not work longer for 50% more. that is proven with sm "bonus week" bc that requires more time for me. extra hours for extra money. same logic.
you can send ppl to sm through your cammodel link and get 70% your cut since you sure every model will bring new customers. Many of use our cam link and still do not work longer nor do we cut our prices to entice those guys to sign up under that cammodel link. matter of fact a lot of posts will say my cam model link came through and spent XXXX so im logging off, i got things to do. lol
what you vision is affiliate traffic for 50% because i can promise you will not want to depend on models to bring traffic not even at 50%
it would just turn into another closed ppm site such as ifriends, pcamz, kink wake up one day and its gone. all became sm affiliates. lol these "big box" sites are now sending their traffic to sm to make 35% instead of the 50% running their own cam site bc that business model just doesn't seem to work for big box sites like it does small sites such as skype.
i have known smaller mom/pop style camsites that opened up w 50% pay and never even took off bc they depended on models to build it, bring models, bring customers with squat shit advertising. I was one of those models.
and maybe sometimes issues, extra fees, updates popped up they couldn't afford and employee pay (wtf is cams doing right now? lol)
its just a no
let streamate be streamate. lol :) I have depended on this site everyday without fail no matter what tech issue. shit happens.
let's talk real tech issues i don't hear of anyone's computer i7 quad core under a year old blowing up from the adobe encoder lol Im a fuckn dinoaur on sm. the tech issues we have now is nothing compared.. every gold show ending bc adobe crashed lol
also, don't forget studios that are available to models bc the studio can use model fees to pay for everything that is provided plus some bc at the end of the day everyone does this to profit but sm has kinda proven the bigger the circle the bigger the money but also quadruple the models i feel like
sorry for the long post but I have been in this cycle many times. lol
sometimes it great at first but it dies
sometimes it just sucked from day 1
we need to be performing while the affiliates send traffic while we are online
many of us do have long term customers but I can promise more customers expired themselves than stayed for one reason or another. is not sustainable
:)

I would have agreed with you several years ago so I do see both angles.
After much experience, I would not reduce my rates. If anything, I would raise them. I only accept shows from quality gentlemen. I don't want customers who can only afford bargain basement prices.
As for more hours, that sounds like a recipe for burnout in my case. Like Laurie said, I also find that cheaper shows=more demanding customers who can't afford to stay over 2 minutes.
I'm not saying that your thoughts are wrong, I'm just sharing mine.

Ok again as per post these are examples, some models of course will decide to keep the same rates and hours, my point is many would do either or because the higher pay which would even out across the platform bringing more money to SM
Again my post is not saying you have to do either it is just stating what majority would be able to do if better rates

Of course thanks for your thoughts and I know this won't work for everyone but a bigger picture is this
By us requesting this of course some models already do long hours and don't want cheap shows I get that but at the same time there is many who don't do as much or would be comfortable reducing rates. Now the platform has manyyyy models and many would be happy doing that which still brings more money to SM

I appreciate your thoughts and just to confirm it may be the way I typed it
I am aware many models are happy with their hours and rate and many won't change them which I get completely
I'm seeing it from different angles ones or those who would do more or those who wouldn't mind reducing and I get not not every single model would change theirs. But many would and coming from a sales background as well as adult industry, increasing pay makes workers feel more appreciated and more valued and in turn work differently whether its more hours or rate change again at no point am I saying every single model must do it, its just the natural pattern in businesses many would and ofc not all

Like i said worse case is they say no and negotiate something lower but its better than no change so as per my post if u want to increase it and would like to participate in making the request let me know ❤️❤️

Re: 30% percent pay out for a site that fails...
I've re adjusted my wording as I know there's some misunderstanding on my points
Yes not every model will change their rates and hours and I respect and appreciate the time and effort they put to get there
As a majority I know many would want the change
