But worried about my body.
Attachment 56718Attachment 56719Attachment 56720OKay so I bombed my first audition. And they won’t be phoning me. And I’m worried if it’s my body/looks. Be brutally honest I don’t mind. I was told I needed more experience. But if I need to lose weight I’d rather work on that first. I do have acne and it is getting better, so maybe that was a factor too?

Re: But worried about my body.
I think the right outfit could make your figure look bomb and I think you need lipstick, but what kind of club was it and what did the other dancers look like? Because if they were all really skinny and had no tattoos you might be screwed(for that club anyway), but their critique was that you need more experience so I have a feeling you probably just did awful on stage. What did you do on stage?

they were skinny but one was covered in tattoos. They were both blonde tho.
i didnt get on stage, they made me do a lap dance on another girl with the manager watched.

Re: But worried about my body.
^^^Wow that's really weird. I would definitely try a different place.
-
Re: But worried about my body.
It was very odd. Apparently not the normal thing.
-
Re: But worried about my body.
I would recommend losing about 20 pounds,
Not trying to be rude, but you asked for brutal honesty, so you got it

Re: But worried about my body.
^Judging by the writing style, I’m way suspicious this “jennyvvvv” is a middle aged man.
Clubs won’t “phone” anyone to come in. Auditions are a yes or no on the spot type of thing. My guess is that it’s been slow in a lot of places, and hiring new girls would be more trouble than it’s worth. I’d probably hit up a midtier or comfortable dive type of spot, and those places it’s easier to make money at the moment anyways. Losing weight would help you to get into more clubs but I wouldn’t stress it.

Agreed.

Re: But worried about my body.
I think you'll get hired at a dive or mid-tier. I agree with Genoveve, I think you need to wear lipstick. Your body has a nice shape so just accentuate your best features.
-
Re: But worried about my body.
I would lose weight if I were her. Right now only dives will hire her.
I would also suggest going to a makeup counter like Mac and have them do a glam makeup look.
-
Re: But worried about my body.
^ Same as all above.
You lost weight fast when you dance and pair it with minimal drinking / eating healthy.
Start at a dive, lose a little, then move up to a mid tier club.
Dives might not be " big money " as consistently as nicer spots but they can still be good at times.
-
Re: But worried about my body.
Start at a dive.
You fall into the category of BBW, which do earn well in clubs geared to letting you do all the negotiating for VIPs.
It is true when clubs are over-staffed with dancers the managers will say "no" or "come back in a few months."
Dives can be great money wise once you find your niche and have good working relationships with the managers.

Eww that reminds me of my first time in a SC and having to be taught how to do a lap dance by the manager. I did not ask him how to lap dance BTW.
It's probably a shitty club. Feel free to try a different one.

Re: But worried about my body.
Thanks guys, the plan is to now lose a bit of weight, maybe 14 pounds, practice my moves, practice lap dances, find two pieces that look good on my body, play around with my make up. I’m not going to go for another audition until I feel I’m ready, I guess I tried out thinking they would put me on stage not in the vip doing dances on one of the girls,

Honestly if you can skip stage sets you can make more per hour in VIP OR stacking dances.
Many experienced dancers will pay the DJ to skip them on stage, or pay a flat fee to not have to go onstage at all during a shift.
This depends entirely on the rules set up by the manager on duty.
You look fine, just find a club that is willing to let you work in the most profitable way to maximize your take home profit per shift.

Re: But worried about my body.
What I’m thinking of doing is going to the club I’m interested in as a customer and tipping to ask questions ☺️ see what the girls that work there say, if I see no one that looks like me, I’ll try out a different club.

i wouldn't expect much help,
they arn't going to want to throw you a life jacket, they are going to want to throw you an anchor

Re: But worried about my body.
Man your post has really attracted some trolls ::)
Anyway, constructive criticism - personally I think your makeup could use some adjustment. The black eyeshadow is kind of giving me middle school emo kid vibes & it could be the angle but your eyebrows don't look "done".
I agree that was a very odd audition, I have never been asked to give a dance as part of one. It's always 2 songs on stage and that's it. The one exception was that I had a manager ask me to work the floor for an hour; he later said it was because he already had a day shift roster full of lazy girls who just smoked and drank at the bar all day & wanted to hire girls who actually approached customers. Totally fair.
But I would try a different club because that's just fuckin' weird honestly. Who cares if you're new, you can make money playing that up - customers love to 'teach' girls how to give dances.

I was wrong, doing it a third time means it DOES get much sadder. :rotfl:

Re: But worried about my body.
^ Yes a couple of people said the nasty shit which is totally not needed or helpful . :)
Trust us. Just look up some makeup tutorials and try again at another place.
You need a thick skin in this industry .
Don't expect " help " and honestly I would not bother the girls with questions.
Just get in and start working. :)

I feel like maybe they either had her do that because for whatever reasons they knew they weren't going to hire her anyway and just wanted to mess with her or because the manager is a pervert. Or both.
