Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
We had a rough 2 years with the pandemic. Do you think it has changed you in any way? It could be positive or negative. I feel like I appreciate everything positive in my life and any good relationships I have more now.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
I'm going to be brutally honest.
For myself the Pandemic made me realize I am a bit of a germaphobe. That was the only personal discomfort I experienced.
Losing a couple of my most beloved people to COVID complications has been devastating emotionally. It still pisses me off that a wrecking ball of a virus has robbed the world of two people who gave so much to me and others. The good die young.
I honestly am not super social so I was unfazed by the distancing and avoiding huge get togethers. I live in a very Jesus-y part of the Midwest so I opted out of gatherings where I could contract COVID. Imagine my total lack of surprise when our neighbor's wedding get together turned into a super spreader event. We all learned that prayer does not stop microbes.
I'm definitely more blunt. I'll leave it at that.

I opted out of those events too, I felt like I was criticized for trying to take care of my health. I think this made me more leery of people in general and I learned to trust my instincts more than ever.

Perfect example of how accurate the medical advice given by Dr. Fauci was-
my friend's ex wife died from COVID (she was a Nurse) & all it took was for her to get coughed on by an elderly patient who contracted COVID. In her case it was a perfect storm of circumstances that caused her death.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
Being a cam girl, pretty much lived like a hermit to begin with, so it really didn't change my life much at all. Other than wearing a mask in public places, which I enjoy not having men hit on me as much.
The 4 years Trump was in office affected me way more & gave me tons of anxiety.
-
Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
I am very wary of regular jobs, even the ones that say they observe covid regulations don't, in my opinion
I also have had anxiety in the Trump years, I just hope he doesn't get back in!

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
I'm so impatient and money hungry.
Oh never mind, I was that way before.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
The past 2 years made me hate democrats even more than I already did.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
The entire pandemic has made me realize how I have absolutely no family support and fairweather friends. I've given birth to 2 babies since the pandemic started, one of whom was a total surprise. It has made me realize that I can do this alone and don't need anyone although it would be a lot easier if I did have help. I guess more than anything this pandemic has taught me that I'm stronger than I thought, even if I don't feel it at times.

That means you hate the majority of women in this country, approximately 70% of Jews, and approximately 90% of African-Americans. This probably isn't the right forum for you.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
Jokes aside ..... I haven't felt that financially stressed since college.
It felt like constant stress. It's nice to not have so much stress with things recovering but I am thinking of career path questions A LOT lately.
I feel like my small business is in a pattern of under earning and I'm always questioning if I need to get something else going.
I feel like in order to grow I might need to accept something full time.
I love my hours now. I work about 30 remotely a week and only need to show up in person 1-2 days a month currently.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
The Pandemic also made clear to me how many people in my hometown ditched their Biology classes in high school.
Half of my friend's family refused to take any Vaccinations against COVID & spent the entire Pandemic watching InfoWars. Seriously.
I will never understand science deniers and I will never want to..............

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
^ Right ? The fact that everyone didn't get vaxed as soon as they could alarms me too.....

Same, been working from home for a decade and have always been a huge homebody and loner so it didn't affect me at all. Camming $$$ stayed up too so I wasn't affected financially either. I'm also anti-social so I enjoyed the masks and 6 foot rules for the most part, masks just suck on hot days and during air travel.
I feel that I have really mastered the art of impartiality though because I have maintained all my relationships with people all on completely different sides of the fence. It's mostly due to not giving a shit though.

I have always loved you for that. (being blunt--but always cool about it too)
I started acting like a germaphobe before Covid, because I realized just how filthy those dollar bills are--they fall on the sidewalk, there's traces of fucking dogpoop on the sidewalk, then the bill gets handed to you a few days later, that shit is still on there. Now I either go into the bathroom and rinse my hands after every girls' tipout, if the bathroom is close to the booth--or in other clubs keep a glass of water in the booth for that purpose. I also had a lot of trouble some years back with tonsils/throat/ears and the doctor told me to gargle with strong mouthwash, I do it several times a night. I don't give a flying fuck how it looks, it's helped keep me healthy through all this (had the 'mild' Covid at least once pretty sure but not too bad).

Wow, I really feel sorry for you.
Unless you are one of these geeks I see posting on friends' Facebook how much fun it would be to 'legally hunt liberals', in which case you are wasting air that could be used by rational human beings.
Your post was reported, with good reason. Usually I would simply delete it, as we are supposed to delete all hateful political posts from either spectrum. But I will leave it up as a warning to everyone--this kind of blind unreasoning hatred will not be tolerated .

Apparently dollars bills can hold viruses on them up to 17 days, plenty of germs on them, and I read somewhere that 69 percent of men don't wash their hands after using the bathroom.
I do the same thing and wash my hands after counting my money because ya don't know where all that money has been. I wish clubs would provide money sanitizing machines. That would be a smart idea :P!

Is that why sometimes dancers hand me a bunch of soaking wet ones? :D

Honestly some drunk tippers will spill beer on the tip money. Just an occupational hazard I guess.
Off topic, if you work with cash & want to avoid germs, just stash a bottle of sanitizer close by and wipe your hands when you can. I currently do cash drops for work and just wash my hands in the bathroom before I clock out of work.
Back on topic, the Pandemic has been a long lesson in how fragile life really is. We're all here one moment, and gone the next.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
Yes. Since March 2020, I went into therapy, wrote a book, and joined a gym. The past two years taught me that I am a survivor and I can take hit after hit and still come out stronger.

Re: Have the past 2 years changed you at all?
My hands have never been cleaner. I was always a good hand washer but Covid made me obsessive.

I wonder if microwaving bills would do any good.

I highly doubt it but UV light is supposed to be effective.
