NOPE! If you search you'll find where she kept referring to August as her "son". i thought it was cute until the full story came out. Sickening!

If I fucked Tupac I would talk about it literally all the time
Back in the 80s Mark Wahlberg chased and threw rocks and shouted "Kill the n!****$!" at Black children...had a separate incident where he harassed 9/10 year old Black children...and a separate incident where he attacked two Vietnamese men. If folks were able to move past his horrific history of HATE CRIMES and have him starring in Transformers movies, etc., this talk of Will Smith's career being finished over THIS is laughable to me. I adore tf out of Will Smith and think he's genuinely a good man who loves his wife and kids. I don't think he's some malicious, despicable person who deserves to be cancelled over a slap at the dude who was clowning his wife. Chris Brown beat the shit out of Rihanna, and it didn't end his career. He's got a new 2022 album.
Kathy Griffin is the one who was blacklisted from Hollywood (and put on a "no fly" list, and got death threats, and investigated by the Secret Service) for the Trump decapitated head stunt...before eventually making her way back into the spotlight. Seems like, as a woman in the industry, if you "slip up" even once, folks will never let you forget it.
People are saying Will Smith assaulted Chris Rock so let's talk about assault. Alopecia is an auto immune disorder. Chris Rock making fun of that is verbal assault. Yes, verbal assault is still assault. It's never okay to make fun of sick, disabled or people that are struggling with disorders. Chris Rock was warned many times about the same hurtful jokes.
This is bigger than Chris Rock but let it be a teaching moment, people need to stop acting like they can say whatever they want and call it a joke. The lesson here is talking shit about someone's wife will get you hurt.
Will eloquently said “keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!“ I feel that and would replace wife with 'keep my (sisters/friends/family) name out of your fucking mouth when it's called for.
That segment where Regina Hall was announcing the names of the single men she wants to go backstage for "a deep PCR Covid test," and then feeling up two of them on stage in front of everyone.....um. Was that all rehearsed?
I just want to comment about people saying Will Smith's career is over.Actually, Hollywood will be forgiving this in the next couple of months. Will Smith and Chris Rock's careers will be untouched. Plus, Will has other investments including his large social media empire. If the Academy could forgive Mark Wahlberg who committed actual hate crimes and Mel Gibson's for continue weird racial outbursts...they will forgive who makes them tons of money. They even brought back Nick Cage and Brandon Fraser because they made multiple indie hits. So, I am sure Will Smith's career will be fine.
Sad to say, but there is one set of rules for celebrities and one set of rules for everyone else. If some unknown person applied for a job, and the employer did a background check, and found that person was arrested for throwing rocks at black children and shouting kill the [racial obscenity]s, and another incident where he assaulted Vietnamese people, his resume or application would go right in the waste basket. If you're a movie star and a major box office attraction, and you have that on your record, you can get paid millions of dollars to star in a movie.

Janets career took a hit because she was a woman while Justin Timberlakes career was unfazed despite them both being involved in the media scandal.
I don’t think Wills career will take a hit simply because he is male and he is A list.
Once you reach A list status you’re pretty much untouchable…… unless you rape some kids or murder some elderly person.
I could be wrong but I think if Cris Rock sued Will for hitting him he would win the case.
When you’re in your hood around your casual group of friends. This is the lesson your learn “running your mouth too much can get your ass kicked”
But legally I think your reaction should be equal to the aggressor (unless you fear for your life)
If we go around hitting everyone who talked shit about us - we’d end up in a very savage place.
What’s up with the personal attacks. Yikes! If you all don’t like each other can you just use the ignore button. Let’s keep this a positive and supportive forum.
Yup, same reason why a lot of abused women stay in toxic relationships. He's in a toxic relationship.
Tony Gaskins explains it perfectly here.
Even his mother (Will Smith's) said he's never acted this way before.
Know the signs.

You are absolutely right but Jada can also sue Chris for verbally assaulted her with malice by humiliating her in front of the world.
There are plenty of videos of people being arrested and charged for verbal assault.
I totally agree with the bolded parts but that also depends on what kind of shit they talk about. For people that have been verbally abused and bullied, their take would totally be different than those who have never experienced it.
Personally for me I would totally slap a bitch and have for getting in my face and say shit to me like some of these hoes on here running their fucking mouths but I can guarantee you they would not do that in person because I'm batshit crazy. Emphasis on my batshit crazy-ness because that’s a dangerous sight to be hold.
.
Right. Not just a woman, a black woman. Black women aren't regarded in this society. She was even blamed for what HE did.
Also, I do believe that there are certain groups of people that seek out any reason to spew their hate for blacks and this just gave them more fuel. There's a huge chance he's done. Never underestimate the collective power of club white when trying to vilify and demonize a black man.
trying to win an argument by trying to bring the target audience down isn't a good way of debating...and i've been told i'm not good enough for a lot of things so being told I can't jump into the vanilla world wouldn't be any different...and btw a lot of sw's can function just fine in the vanilla world they just choose to do SW because they're good at it.
I would charge .99 cents a minute if that brings me the most money :). Even if you charged $20 a minute that doesn't guarantee you'll make bank. Hell, you could even not make $20 an hour, lol.
I know plenty of girls that charge less than $4.00 a minute that are very successful and thriving. They've been doing it for years. One simply don't last for years if they don't make money.
Anyway, I just wanted to say, on one of the YouTube recaps, they showed a 'seat filler' one of the winners asked her if she wanted to hold the Oscar, she said yes, & asked to have her pic taken.. For which she was fired.
As far as Will, he's probably an Academy member, is a power person..
Nothing was done to him at the time, & aren't the Oscars famous for this type of stuff?
A streaker, a Native American woman declining Brando award, etc.
I saw this on the news. What was it about?
The one thing I will add to this discussion is that I honestly want to know how JADA feels about what happened. That seems to be the one thing conspicuously missing from any news report, any opinion pieces, or any talk about this at all. All we know is that she rolled her eyes and looked unamused at the joke. But how does SHE feel about how Will handled it? I can't even seem to find a clip of her face/reaction as or after it happened. The camera was only on Will as he yelled at Chris from his seat. It seems crazy to me that the discussion should be about her and the rude joke that Chris made, but now it's all about her husband and whether or not we agree with how he handled it. I think the only person who can say whether or not they "approve" of his handling this is the woman he was defending, but we haven't heard anything from her on the matter. Not that she owes anyone a statement or comment about her personal life, of course. I just wish we had some context for how the woman in this situation actually feels about it. Did she want him to come to her defense so aggressively, in that moment, or is she embarrassed and wishes he hadn't gotten involved? That's only up to her to decide.
^ A few people have said she was seen smiling/laughing after the incident.
However, I've only seen the clip of Denzel consoling her during the commercial break and
I didn't see a facial reaction just the side/back of her head.
