THAT is disrespecting yourself.
I had some bad experiences in dancing due to shit management but in general, I made 5-10X more, could leave when I wanted, wasn't FORCED to deal with or be polite to people who were rude to me, could take time off whenever I wanted and never feared for my job security.
Which scenario is lacking in "self respect"? to me the obvious answer is the first one (which was a job in a high end lingerie boutique.. I can only imagine working in fast food or waste management for example)
I'm just now seeing this, and that was my point exactly (in my previous post) regarding these "Well I have respect for myself!" women who bash adult industry workers. They're the same ones busting their ass all day at jobs they hate...being mistreated at work...worrying that they'll get written up or fired for calling out sick...having to ask for permission to go to their kid's graduation (and wait for the boss man/lady to approve it)...and complaining that all they ever do is work and have no time for much else. But they talk about "having respect for themselves" while implying that we don't? LOL.

These are the majority of men and woman that proceed to pay sex workers, only to turn around slut shaming them or going on a rescue mission for their own good. ::) "You are better than this! You sure you want to do this? I will still take that lap dance btw!!" or my favorite, bashing someone for wanting to be a stripper, when in their past they use to visit the clubs and pay for lap dances. Not surprised with Reddit, as though it can contain some useful information, it can also be an extremely toxic place to lurk,
especially topics surrounding sex workers.
