Yes, & hilariously I still get junk mail from the blood bank even though I literally CANNOT donate anymore due to serious health issues.
BTW if you ever want to do something nice for yourself and society, donate blood. It's good for your overall health & obviously people need it. In some regions you get paid cash for it.
No but i should though
Yeah, I can't donate either, some places pay..
A negative which is fairly rare but I can't donate due to a health issue. Interesting article though. It doesn't mention the risks/benefits of the -blood types which I know there are some as well.
O- in the house
A+ and I've already been on aspirin and told about the heart disease risk. I know that my risk was further increased by having had preeclampsia. I've switched to garlic now for the blood-thinning properties.
It is! ^
It's the universal donor type.
Btw, only 15% have this type.
I am A-, but when my Mom heard it. Said no way, how could I be their kid. She is A+ and thought my Dad was B+, to which he said
"no, he is B-" Had me questioning if I was adopted or not for a minute, but look like my Dad as a kid & now I look like my Mom.
O- and I donate blood regularly. I do it purely to help out society (and, I guess to feel good about myself) because there's no payment allowed for it where I live. I did recently read that donating blood and plasma can help clear "forever chemicals" out of your system, though, so that's another selfish benefit.

O+ can still benefit all positive blood types! People who are any other positive blood type can accept our blood.
