Desktop PC Beauty Filter Prog/App for photos?
Hi all,
Is there such a thing as a Desktop PC Beauty Filter Program/App for photos? I know there are loads for phones but I need to be able to see what I am doing on a bigger screen, ideally. (I HATE working on/via a mobile phone. One of the reasons why I haven't got to grips with Instagram...)
Also: anything similar for video editing? I am using a verrrryyyy basic editor but want to upgrade and having beauty filter options might tip the balance in favour of a specific prog for me.
I don't need anything that makes me lose 200 pounds or 30 years LOL, just would like some easy minor tweaks to "enhance" ;)
Thanks!

For still images and photos I use Photoshop CC (Adobe released the CS2 version for free ages ago, it's no longer on their site but you can still download it safely here for free - https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3...oshop-cs2.html)
There's definitely a learning curve BUT the basic things for skin are Spot Healing Brush Tool for scars, marks, acne, etc. and to do overall skin smoothing, I use Filter -> Blur -> Surface Blur and adjust it until the skin looks good. This filter will affect the whole image though, not just skin (hair, clothing texture, eyes) so I do it on a separate layer and then erase the parts I don't want the blur effect to be on.
For video, I use Beauty Box on Premiere Pro (it's also on Final Cut, there's also a learning curve with both these editing softwares) https://digitalanarchy.com/beautyVID/main.html
It's pricey and takes forever on my garbage PC to render videos, but for me it's worth it cuz I have a lot of acne scars and marks on my face and body :( But this plugin makes them go away like magic! Beauty Box also has a plugin for Photoshop, but I've never used it.
You can get a free trial of Premiere Pro here - https://www.adobe.com/products/premi...tml?sdid=KKQOM
And a free trial of Beauty Box here - https://digitalanarchy.com/demos/psd_mac.html#d4
DaVinci Resolve is a FREE video tool and they have a face cleanup feature, but I've never used it so I can't say how good it is. (This might be a paid version only feature, I'm not sure)
Also of course - having good lighting that smooths out the face and leaves no shadows is ideal before you even start editing! I think shadows can be very interesting and dynamic (like in my profile pic lol) BUT this can also bring out a lot of 'imperfections' in the face, etc. So it's best to have as little shadows as possible, and figure out if cool lighting or warm lighting suits your skin best.
A ring light is great for getting zero shadows, but I've definitely noticed a big difference (in videos I made) between a cheap $100 ring light and a more expensive professional one. The light from the expensive one was much softer and less harsh, so maybe soft boxes are a better option? (I currently use 2 huge ass octagonal soft boxes, because I think it looks nicer in the eye's reflection rather than the typical ring light reflection)

I use fotor for pics. You have all kind of beauty tools (skin smoothing, pore and wrinkle remover, you can make your eyes pop, face slimming, body slimming, teeth withening, etc etc). You can also use it to create all kind of logos, collage, edit pics as cropping stuff out, etc.
I pay $40 per year (Or you can pay $9 per month, but definitely cheaper to buy year subscription), been using it since 2015.
Here's a link: https://www.fotor.com (you can also use the free version to see how it is, before deciding to pay).
