Merchandise Sale "Cattle Calls" Â What do
Well the club got three dozen crates of T shirts instead of 3 crates. Tasteful T shirts which say "Nudie Bar Caberet- Doraville" or some such thing.
Instead of one T shirt sale a night there were now
three T shirt sales a night. Three "cattle calls" a night. A customer is supposed to buy the T shirt for $20 and in exchange gets three table side nude dances plus the T shirt. If the dancer doesn't sell the shirt she pays the house $20. One sale a night is not a big deal... three however, on top of house fees of $60 plus DJ and bouncer tips are a big bite.
So 30 dancers are on main stage and ten are on each of the first floor side stages. You have to wear your site T shirt. This is the night my flight is late and I get to the club after 10 p.m. in the middle of a cattle call.
Now most dancers have a distinctive look. However 50 women, all wearing white T shirts, all with high heels
and all about the same height (in the high heels)
all look quite alike from a distance at a big club.
Stir in pressure from the DJ on any girl who doesn't make a sale and you get the picture here.
Solution... ATF and ATF friend violate procedure
after the cattle call song and take off their T shirt.
Knowing their costumes you can now find them.
What do you dancers feel about the merchandise cattle calls or cattle calls in general?
Re: Merchandise Sale "Cattle Calls" Â Wha
I would find another job, then pay the house fee in teeshirts.
In other words its a raw deal and I personally would not stand for it. Those are dancers not shills for sleazy merchandise.
Either that or tip the house mom in tee shirts until she stands up to the moron who does not know the difference from 3 and 36.
Re: Merchandise Sale "Cattle Calls" Â Wha
Those merchandise features at clubs are total bullshit! I've worked at a couple places in SoFla that do them EVERY HOUR!Not only does it take up nearly 30min. per hour, generally girls still pay tip out on top of it. And one of these places requires the girls to pay for the item out of their own pocket if it isn't sold. In fact, the merchandise wasn't even pertinent to the club. It was like ceramic clowns, clock radios, screwdriver sets, ect. WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT??!!!! My trunk was so full of random shit, I looked like a teamster!

Re: Merchandise Sale "Cattle Calls" Â Wha
In general, I do not like them and do not think we should have to do them. But it sounds like I'm lucky in regards to the way ours are done. The managers and housemom watch to see if you are making an honest effort to sell the merchandise, you do not have to buy it yourself if you do ot sell it to a customer. If customers don't want it, I still go back to tables I have been to before "pretending" to sell the shirt, using the time to chat a little more and then say, "Well I'd love to come dance for you when I don't have to sell you a shirt." We usually do one a night on weeknights and two or three on weekends. We buy the shirt for twenty and then give it to the customer if he/she buys 2 dances ($20 each.)
Re: Merchandise Sale "Cattle Calls" Â Wha
I don't mind them soo much but don't really like them. At my club here in Florida we have to sell a shirt every hour (if theres customers). The shirt is $20.00 and you get a free nude dance, so the value of it all is $45.00. So after I get my 20 bucks for the shirt I have to then turn around and give them 10 of the 20 dollars. So all in all I walk off with $10.. bucks for a 25 dollar nude dance. >:( But the good thing is, is that you don't HAVE to sell one, you have to try and stay out there while their little theme music is going but nothing happens if you dont sell one your just 10 bucks shorter than the other girls who did. I always try to get a good tip after the dance though.
Re: Merchandise Sale "Cattle Calls" Â Wha
My club does them every hour on the hour. Everything from t-shirts to shot glasses, beer mug's, golf balls, free drinks, etc. I hate it, but it's not that bad, I guess.
