Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
you know how some people "go into the family business'?
Well that made me wonder if any of you ladies had parents or siblings, Aunts whatever who were strippers?
God knows you all have "the genes" so your Moms must have been lovely women who could have done it.
Anybody who had a Mom in the Biz and if you did, did you know it before or after you got into it?

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
nope!
My mom was a teacher and my other female relatives are pretty boring like that too.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
I guess that I have an aunt that dances that I have never met, or met once when I was younger, from my estranged side of the family.
At the first club I danced at I introduced myself to the owners daughter. She was a senior at the highschool I graduated from and goes to school with my lil' sis and bro. She swore to me that my mom dances. I always wondered what my mom did when she said "Goodnight honey, I'm going to bed!." It was pretty funny how she thought I was lying when I said, "No my mom works in a lab." Of coarse, that girl is 17 and knows everything. So supposedly my mom is a dancer.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Kobi,
Do you really think your Mom dances or was she just messing with you? How could she keep that a secret for so long? Wild story!

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
My mother was into Real Estate, and (lol) a phone operator. Not sex. Over in Sweden it worked much different, she was the only one in the area on her shift who had police, fire, and non emergency. But that was a PT job. She loved selling property.
My dad owned the company, (real estate) he died and left it to her.
Other family over in Sweden i don't know about dancing, so i would say no. 1 sister over here, not a dancer.

I know my mom doesn't dance. That girl was just an idiotic beeotch! My brother and sister have some stories from school to back up that last comment of mine. I think she got me mixed up with someone else and didn't want to believe me when I told her she was wrong.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Yes my younger sister also dances, but we are totaly different looks wise and personality, shes the wild one, noone ever believed we were sisters when we would tell people but when friend and I would goof around and say we were sisters they believed that more, she isnt really speaking to me at the moment because I wont take her to travlel with me,well been there done that and the last time she left the club with some 21 year old and I didnt see her until the next night I was up all night worrying, even called my mom, thats it for her.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
My mom's aunt's grand daughter used to be a stripper. That is all that I know of and is also in my adoptive family. In blood, who knows.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Yep! My Aunt was a dancer at Go-Go Rama in New Jersey in the seventies. I used to dress up in her sequined outfits, and I thought that she looked so glamorous when she went to work at night.
I remember being confused as to what exactly pasties were used for, and she explained that she wore them on her boobs. I really got confused after that because I had no idea how she would get them to stick.
One of these days I should scan a picture of her from her early 20's. She was, and is a beautiful lady.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
nope... no stripping in my family...
maybe thats the reason why i can't yet master the art of walking in 7 inch heels ... or why i can't do polework... i don't have the genes...lol
although i kind of wish there was a cousin or aunt or someone i could go to and borrow outfits, get hustling advice, and call when i have a shitty night.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Not my family. Mom is the very innocent naive type, the rest of the family is too religious.
Actually now that you mention it...I have heard rumors about one of my cousins. hmmm

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
HI Paris,
I would LOVE to see a pic of your Aunt from the 70's, those 60's and 70's girls still do it for me. ;)
And btw, how in the hell do you stick those pasties on? Not super glue I hope. ;)

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Nope, my mom worked in a daycare most of her life and now she's working in a department store. But a close cousin of mine works in the club I want to start working in December.

Can't blame you, the road is hard enough without taking long someone who acts unprofessionally and cause you worry and hassle.
We were all young once and hopefully she will learn and things will change as she gets more experience.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
My dad owned half of an illegal brothel, does that count? LOL

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
You bet that counts Lena, in fact your Dad is my hero! Every mans fantasy job. LOL

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
No... but one of our neighbors, a woman who's in her 50's, used to dance in the 1970's. We've had some great chats about how things are different now-a-days.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
My first stepmother was a dancer for a while. She doesn't really like to talk about it much. It was in a blue collar club. She always looked kinda like a model-she did it just to get through college. She is now a teacher.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Closest to being in the "industry", one grandma was a showgirl, the other did the beauty queen circuit in the 40s and magazine modeling. My aunt was a model in the 70s.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
Nope! I'm the only wild girl in my family. My parents are hardcore business owners who never have a minute to enjoy life.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
i am totally the black sheep...only to be expected from the only child of my hell raising mother...but my uncle did own a strip club in texas when my mom was a teen where i get to hear the story of her one time stage appearance...lol...ah the "boobie tassel" story

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
I'm the first in my family to dance that I am aware of. I am retired from dancing now of course, but I have a niece thats 21, and she just started dancing and came to me for lots of advice. I even had a few dresses I have "handed" down to her. Who knows.. it may be the start of a family tradition...lol
One girl I danced with, her mom was a dancer too. The two of them side by side they looked like sisters. The main difference between the two was the one my age wore a size zero in pants and her mom wore a size 7. But they both looked damn good!!

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
my family seems to need one 'black sheep' in each generation. My great aunt danced in the 70's and my cousin danced in the late 80's-early 90's. From some of the conversations we've had together on the subject, as time has gone by the 'take home pay' has progressively gone down, and the 'contact levels' have progressively gone up.

Re: Was your Mom or family member a stripper?
My mom dances, (she's only 32, don't worry!) and so does my little sister (she's 18, I'm 19). We occasionally dance together, though we each have seperate home clubs. We tag team guys like it's goin outta style.
