It depends what hours you want to work and what club you want to work in. I worked in one club where they would easily hire waitresses any time. I worked in another club that had a waiting list of girls wanting to work!
Most clubs do want the cocktail waitress to be good looking. I have seen some run down looking ones in my time though. Strip clubs or not.
I think it's much easier to get a job as a cocktail waitress than getting a job as a dancer in a club. I have known (actually head,) Girls wanting a dancing position and the manager has told them no openings now, but we are looking for a good cocktail waitress. Dancers came and went more, and the cocktail waitress would seem to out last most. And they ALWAYS walk out with money. Smetimes more than a dancer.
Dress sexy, smile and serve!!
Good luck,
Pamela
What kinda money do they make? Ive danced forever...but now im thinking about waitressing. People say that its stupid to be in the bussiness and not make as much money as a dancer. for the first month i was told im gonna have to split my tips with a head waitress.
And that may be true, because that person will be watching over you and correcting any mistakes that may arise.
Get in a club that has alot of business, and you can make some serious money. I have seen them rake in the $$$. And dancers get pissed. I have even seen dancers stop. Next thing you know they are a cocktail waitress at another club!
These ladies are hard workers and need to be very friendly.
I checked out Hooters ALOT. And it's the same hustle as dancing with out taking your clothes off. Keep going back to your customers, smile alot, be super friendly, get to know people on a first name basis, and sit with them and soot the shit at times. Laugh, tell jokes. It's a hustle to keep them coming back, and you want these people to ALWAYS sit in your area. Thats how Hooters works.
Same with any good waitress no matter where she works, it's about wanting to build up that clientel. Thats why you always here "come back again." They really mean it!
Serving drinks just keeps customers longer, since one can only eat so much food at a time. But customers can favour their drinks, and get to know you.
It's all the same. Sales! Easier money for alot however, because you don't have to worry about getting that dance. Or competeing for a customer in the same way. It's much different.

As with anything, it depends on the place. However, I asked one of the coctail waitresses at my club if she made OK money. She was a dancer for 4 years prior, and said she makes more consistent money, but about 10 grand less per year.
I was a cocktail waitress at my club 3-4 months before I switched over to dancing. I know that most clubs will hire based on looks, or at least here in NV they do. Hell, I had NO experience in cocktailling whatsoever but I got hired on the spot. I think most girls believe they need to be hot to work at a club so not too many apply b/c of this stereotype.
I made ok money, at least $100 a nite but I busted my ass & we weren't allowed to have any breaks. Plus, I hated working until 6-7am for over 8 hours straight & dealing with imbicils (sp?). Now I make more money with less work & if I don't like a customer I can walk away. I like having my own schedule & being my own boss, so I don't plan on switching back anytime soon.
