Coaches do the darndest things...
Here's a story I just read about some high school coaches getting suspended or fired for incidents involving strippers:

My question: How do these kids make it in the door of a club? I know they're athletes and all, but still I'd think it's pretty obvious that they're not of age (especially if they went to topless bars which serve alcohol).
Re: Coaches do the darndest things...
Wow. I don't agree with coaches being fired or reprimanded just for drinking, gambling, going to strip clubs themselves, but if they're doing it in front of underage players and/or allowing them to do the same, well that's a different story. What's wrong with these people? Encouraging minors to engage in adult behaviour?

Re: Coaches do the darndest things...
actually, the athletes in question were NOT minors. They were all 18 years old, which is of legal age for the nude club they went to. From what I understand, this is strictly based on anti-dance club school board reaction and not on any proven illegal activities on the part of the coaches, accompanying parent, or student athletes. The one athlete who was only 17 was not taken along to the club. Political correctness strikes again.
Re: Coaches do the darndest things...
Something always amazes me about the age thing, at least here in Missouri. You can go to and work at a Totally nude juice bar at the age of 18. You can go to a pasty bar that serve's alcohol at the age of 21 or any bar for that matter. Now get this ..... you can Dance at a pasty bar, if your emancipated, at the ripe age of 16 ..... yes folk's it's true, in Missouri you can look at her half nekkid but if you got caught munchin her cookie's in the parking lot you would go to jail for statutory rape < sick >
Not only that and I don't know how they pull this off, female minor's 18 and older are allowed into alcohol serving dance club's that in turn refuse entrance to men under 21 ..... Hmmmmmm now who's treating women like meat to draw in the predator's ??? .
Re: Coaches do the darndest things...
LOL, yeah, I used to think they were crazy when I was working at a restaurant.....get this one, In Orlando-
you must be over 16 to work in a place that serves alcohol, and over 18 to serve it. You can tend bar (pour alcohol) at 18, however, you cannot open the bottle unless your over 21. So, I worked at a Pizzaria Uno, tending bar with 65 open containers and 8 beer taps, but if I ran out, I had to get the manager to physically open the new bottle or change the keg.
Re: Coaches do the darndest things...
Coaches aren't the only ones... For some reason, in the past year, there seems to be a large number of parents who have felt the need to hire strippers for parties for their kids... On the one hand, I can see a mentality imilar to that of "If he's going to drink, I'd rather he did it at home". On the other hand, what the hell are these people thinking?!?!?!?!
