Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
Supposedly some Dallas Mavericks have come to my club on occasion. The girls said they were just looking for girls to go hang out with them. I don't follow sports so I wouldn't have recognized any ballers.
So who have ya'll seen in your club and what were they like?

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
Leon Spinx has visited a few club's in the area, I think he live's around here. The door man was like .... "Leon Who ?? , that'll be 8 bux and the liquor has to be out by 10:00" I had to laugh
I live in Brad Pitt's home town so I'm waiting to see him pop in , see if we can't get Jenifer Aniston (SP?) drunk enough to get on stage ;)
ICP has visited a few of the club's when they come to town and have the time to kill.

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
I get a lot of production people coming in the club where I work. The only celebrity I have met is Lou Diamond Phillips. He was in a film called, "La Bamba" and "Young Guns" in the eighties.
However, I did meet this gorgeous actor that has done a bunch of Cinemax soft core stuff. His name is Timonthy Stempien. You can look him up on www.imdb.com.
Yeah, I got to know him WELL ;)
Cheers,
Corey

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
REO Speedwagon (sp?) and one of the guys grabbed my ass as I walked by and management got upset when I yelled at him (and I didn't even hit him). They were cheap.
Members of the Marilyn Manson band, they were pretty cool, but weird. I think one was named twig or something? Tipped very well.
Sports people that I didn't know who they were.
Some guy that's in a lot of commercials that I haven't seen, but everyone fell all over him.

A few NFL football players( mainly John Abraham and Duece Staley) are regulars in my club who come in a few times a week during the off season

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
In Manhattan it's actually rare that a week goes by when dancers don't see an entertainment industry or professional sports celebrity in their club. SCORES is a virtual guarantee of a celebrity in the crowd every night. But as others have already pointed out, some entertainment industry celebrities can also be really cheap! Professional sports celebrities are also now under commission directives to chill out their extra-curricular activities after recent incidents in Atlanta and Tampa clubs. This means that, while fun and interesting, paying attention to these types of celebrities may enhance THEIR ego, but will probably not enhance YOUR earnings.
I much prefer a different type of celebrity in clubs - corporate "celebrities". I once met Hewlett Packard's co-founder David Packard in a club, right after he had sold his interest and retired. He came in with a large entourage of younger guys in Armani suits with 3" rolls of cash - which every one of them spent before leaving allowing every single dancer working the club that night to bank 4 figures!

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
We get quite a few Spurs players (or so I've been told. I've only seen two myself - Malik Rose and another one whose name I don't know). I did dance for some guy who someone told me later was a football player for the a college team. Like Mariah, I'm no big sports fan, so I don't know many faces.

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
well, come to think of it I have met lots....my old club was right next to the civic center so when they had concerts the band people would come in. Boston came in and after work they did their whole concert at the civic center for about 9 of us dancers.
A crew guy with Kenny Chesney came in and they wanted a dancer to go over and do a 15 minute private for Kenny for $100. I was kinda scared but went anyway. He played Leave Your Hat On the whole time and actually got up and danced for me...No funny business at all.
Candlebox. Boring.
Some 80's rock band- I think it was motley crue??
Here in my new club, Rob Zombie (didn't actually talk to him)
But here's the BIG ONE!!!- I wasn't working but I got a phone call from the door girl telling me that N'Sync was in the bar. (she carded them LOL) I HAD to go see this. I went in and met them all and even was invited to go with them in the limo to go hang out at their hotel. Think I didn't go?
Justin Timberlake is a huge snob. And Chris Kirkpatrick took his shirt off and he has a hairy back. One would think he could take care of that! There was no funny business with them either. And they even gave me a Britney Spears tour fleece that the body guards wear.
I have also met a lot of the Minn. Vikings. Robert Smith was by far the nicest and Moe Williams is pretty cool too.
But I will admit, I love telling people I have touched Justin Timberlake's leg. Snob or not, he is a hottie! :)

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
Ben Stiller, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire, countless other pro-athletes, Motley Crue several times, Jack Nicholson, Prince, Sammy Hagar, Robert Deniro, Mark Wahlberg, N Sync, Jay-Z, NAS, Limp Bizkit, the list goes on and on. The vast majority of these I met at either Scores or The MEn's Club in Houston.

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
It's cool to hear that Twiggy was nice, Lena. I've followed the band for five or six years and I'd be pretty excited to work for them.
Okay, now here's a question: who would you most want to dance for? I think I'd really like dancing for Rob Zombie, he seems to dig the good old Go-Go Girl look so it'd be a fun time. He also used to hire dancers for his concerts, but I don't think I'd be thrilled to dance for 2 hours with no breaks. I'd be afraid dancing for an athletic star that they'd just sit back and go "Mhmm...I see....yeah, I've seen better [insert body part here] than that."

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
Trent Reznor came into the Shark before I started working there, but I happened to be hanging out. One of the dancers was all excited about telling me she was going out with him, and when he walked in the door she went apeshit and clung to him like he had superglue on his clothes. It was kind of pathetic, but then I"ve never been much of one for celebrity-worship.
He was a little bitty, kind of ugly guy, not that that matters. The guy is an outstanding musician, especially if you listen to his remixes and lesser known works. He was actually very quiet and didn't say much; perhaps he was having difficulty breathing with her encasing his chest. At least he wasn't an arrogant a**hole like rock stars and jocks seem to be so often.
Speaking of which, a dancer I worked with told me she asked Fred Durst for his autograph, whereupon he immediately asked her for a blowjob. I wasn't there, so cannot vouch for the authenticity of this, but from what I have heard about him, it is quite likely true. I was pleased to hear that Jesse James, the custom motorcycle builder of the stars (Pamela has met him), who has a year-long waiting list for his 150,000$ creations, had Fred try to bribe his way to the top of the list. Not only did that effort meet with failure, but Jesse has publicly stated that he "doesn't build motorcycles for jerks", in reference to the misguided attempt.
One of the members from Korn came into Molly Browns one night so one of the two managers came over and told me I should play Korn. Since I'm a fan of theirs, and normally it is forbidden there, I was very happy to do so, only to have another manager come over and tell me I shouldn't have played their music because they don't want to hear their own stuff when they are out. He wasn't there long, and I didn't even see him, much less try to meet him.
One club I used to go to that was very busy had a head of security that I was friends with, and one night he was all excited and said "Quick, come over here! You won't believe who is here!" So I went over with him to this tall guy and my friend said "This is (insert name of celebrity jock here, I don't know who any of them are--because, sorry, I don't care)!"
Since I had no idea who the guy was I politely said "Hi, nice to meet you", whereupon my friend's jaw dropped, and he repeated the name with more emphasis, as you might say "the KING of ENGLAND" to a mentally deficient child. So I said "Yes, great...so how are you doing?" My friend was so totally and obviously embarassed and disgusted with me that I knew I had screwed up, which puzzled me because I thought I was being very nice. The guy, whoever he was, didn't seem to mind that I had failed to kiss his ass. Needless to say I didn't lose any sleep over it.
As far as Ryan's question about guys thinking they are rich, this happens constantly. Just today there was, I kid you not, a "millionaire", and better yet, even a "billionaire" in the Shark. The "billionaire" actually did have the look of money (you can generally tell) and lives in a very nice and expensive section of New Orleans. I've been there, so I knew there was some reason to believe in his affluence. But no, not a billionaire.
The "millionaire" was some drunk idiot who would not shut up while I was trying to find the next song, made rude comments to Mystique, and offered Katie 2000$ to sleep with him. He may actually have had it, but I didn't see it. She wasn't interested in his offer.
There's something about going into a topless bar that makes your average schmuck become a bullshit artist, and the ordinary, run-of-the-mill bullshit artist attain new heights of extravagantly creative imagination.
Maybe it is the aura of fantasy in the air that does this. Or perhaps the sight of so many nubile temptations running around stimulates the area of the brain responsible for this behavior.
If you put any male animal in with a bunch of females of his species he will instinctively puff himself up and posture to display his masculine power and availability for reproduction. Since we humans lack crests, horns, or colorful feathers to aid the process, our compensating genetic ability to bullshit must be used to full advantage. The possession of celebrity status is the most effective crest. Sadly, this does not mean we will be spared the strutting and posturing.

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
When I worked at Olympic Gardens, these were the celebrities I saw last year:
O.J. Simpson. He was cheap, refusing to buy lap dances and insisting that the girls "go back to his hotel room with him." Creepy murderer!
Some of the cast of the Man Show, including Jimmy and Adam. They rented out half the club on a slow weekday night and kept us girls busy. Thanks Man Show! :D Unfortunately, they left their poor over worked midgets at home.

Re: Have you ever met any celebrities in your club
They guy from Austin Powers' movies (Scott Evil) has been in my club a few times.......shit, what's him name again???? Oh yeah, Seth Green. He's cool, but his hair is a little blonder than in those movies.

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
Live in Tampa, so have had a cpl Bucs players come in; danced for a Browns player, but didn't know it until after he'd left the club (They were playing TB that weekend); The only other one who's ever been in was Peter North, the porn star, who was a good friend of the ex-GM at my club. (Aged VERY well, TYVM!)

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
Melonie you are on the money with your reply. When I worked at Scores the weeks when awards were in the city the place flooded with celebrities. Those were also the weeks when I didnt make any money. They rarely go to the private room or spend big bucks. I would rather have Joe Shmoe come in with a fat wallet.

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
I have met several in the past when I danced as a newbie... lots of rock stars celebrities. .I was working in L.A. so it wasn't uncommon to meet someone...
Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil and Tommy Lee were known to come in frequently, as well as Axel Rose, Bret Michaels, CC Deville (who is a crazy ass to party with!). I also got to meet my all time favorites: Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora-who are truly the nicest guys I have ever met! I also got to meet River Phoenix, which was a bit strange to me as a few weeks later, he died. I had a friend who was in the music business so she had a lot of connections, but with all these people I have met, I have also realized that they are just like everyone else, the only difference is what they do for a living.
Recently, I have met the members of Godsmak and Metallica who were here for a concert and came into our club. All very nice.

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
I have danced for the bassist of Aerosmith, the guitarist for Matchbox 20, the guitarist of some goth metal group Testement, a Vikings player Brian Russell, I think that is all that is all I can remember right now. I've seen Vanilla Ice in my club but didn't talk to him, I talked to a rapper called Durasal, and I think the band Sevendust came into my club but I didn't talk to them. I said hi to that one actor Tommy Davidson form Booty Call. I'll post more when I think of them. ;)

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
Oh yeah that guy from friends came in Paul Rudd with a big group of girls and guys. Didn't talk to him though.

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
I met Moby Dick and a guy from Dawson's Creek (can't remember his name). Oh and the rapper Keith Murray (his hit is Candy Bar) he got really drunk and was just sitting in the corner and snoozing while his buddy guard was getting dances lol.

Re:Have you ever met any celebrities in your club?
There have been several celebrities who have come into my club. Generally, though, they don't spend much money, which I find to be presumptuous and rude, it seems sometimes as though they feel that since they are famous and well-known they don't have to pay for the entertainment we provide.
However, the guys from both Cold and Flaw came in (not at the same time) and they were all very nice to the girls and tipped well.
Funny that the lesser known celebrities seemed to be more willing to give a dollar...at least the ones that have come in to where I work.
Apparently ICP came in one night, but I wasn't working. Heard some of the girls went to hang out with them.
