How to talk to customers?
Hi everyone, I have been dancing about 3 months now, and even though I usually do well, I feel funny about sitting and chatting with strangers. I never know what to really say. My club is close to downtown so I ask if they work in downtown, have they ever been to my club before, etc...... BUT...... does anyone else have any tips or tricks? 8 times out of 10 I end up feeling stupid with moments of silence.
Also, 1 more question, where I work the DJ runs 2-for-1 and 3-for-1 specials, and all the girls come out and ask everyone for a dance.
My question is, is there a "magic phrase" besides Hi, would you like a dance? Usually when a customer turns me down I smile and tell them I'll check back with them later, however others don't seem to take no for answer and can get them to buy a lap dance. What gives?
Thanks ahead for everyone's input!

You would be better to go to HUSTLE HUT folder. It has PLENTY of tips and tricks for you...
I know that folder has helped me out alot.
Re: How to talk to customers?
I find that I make more money if I try not to talk too much, i tend to ramble, and two things work well for me, eye contact, smiling, and looking busy.
Re: How to talk to customers?
Hi Anklefrog,
It can be odd sitting with strangers, wanting money for a dance or 2. What works for me is to walk up and hold out my hand, Big smile and say "hi there, my name is Pamela". At that point give a firm handshake, never limp handshake.
Instead of idle chit chat (you can do that with the guys who you know are into you, or call you over.) Flirt lightly, ask a guy if he likes your shoes. (they are new). Put your foort up on the side of his chair, (if allowed, and this does not look strange to managemant) and ask him to feel the heel, strap etc. So now you made some form of physical contact. Now get inside his head some, tell him you need badly to break them in, and you would love to show him how good you are with them. Don't forget to let him talk in between you, and you laugh and smile "to him"! Focus on him and the moment.
You can use this "ice breaker" with any item you wish. But sit with him, it's more personal. If it's a few guys sit with them! look at all of them, talk to all of them. Ask them if they like your....."Pick any item", and get their blood pumping. Being the best flirt can get you dances you would not believe!
PS no promises you can't keep, and don't lie. You should do beter with your conversations, and keep them under 7 minutes for new guys.
You will know in 7 minutes if he is going to bite. Move on...kindly if he does not. Smile, tell him to keep your ass in mind! walk away, only to come back later!
Hope this helps you, Pamela
Re: How to talk to customers?
Use your shyness to your advantage. Don't try to be someone you're not. Most customers, I've found, seem to be at least a little bit "turned on" by the whole "gosh, I'm not sure why I'm here and I'm SOOOOOOO nervous!!!!" act. In your case, you don't have to act!!! Eye contact, let a customer know you're a newbie at this.... tell him you're "s-o-o-o-o nervous." Tell him he looks like a nice guy, and how much you'd love to dance for him.... apologize in advance for being a newbie and s-o-o-o-o nervous. Look for the "Daddy" type guys who will want to adopt you and take you home to raise..... (LOL)

pamela-I would LOVE if a dancer showed me her shoes-I'm really into sexy shoes on a girl, so that is a GREAT idea to give other dancers

If said customer has a fetish for that sort of thing, I see his wallet emptying mighty fast Pam!
;)
Well a dancer's shoes aren't MY first choice, but yes any part of a dancer's outfit can be a wonderful conversation piece (even tattoos and piercings) and can get the ball rolling, as can commenting on what the customer has worn. The best way to get a customer to buy dances is to get him to relax.
Anklefrog, you might want to post your question over on our sister site stripclubjunkie.com, also reffered to as the "blue site". http://www.stripclubjunkie.com
It's geared more towards customers, but frequently we have Stripperweb dancers come over there seeking our input. Your Stripperweb password will get you in.
Re: How to talk to customers?
Hmmm yes, you both gave me new ideas i had not really used before! Most people have a fetsish of some sort, i need to find out what, if i have it, i will use it to my advantage!
Customers who teach a dancer something...I LOVE IT. Always room for improvement! Thanks guys.
Re: How to talk to customers?
I use Pamela's trick but I use necklaces... I have big natural boobs, and I have a few necklaces that fall right in my cleavage. I'll ask him if he likes the necklace and then slowly pull it out and lean towards him so he can see the necklace, and my boobs are right in his face.
Touch is a big thing too. Lately I see a lot of guys wearing necklaces, and I love it! So I'll look at his necklace. Reach out and grab it softly, maybe reach around and untangle it from his collar, just barely softly running your fingers over his neck - if you do it right it will send shivers down his back.
Also when they ask a question try to answer it visually or tactiley... ie, what do you do for fun? i go hiking, i love the way the sun/wind feels on my skin when i'm tired. what did you do this weekend? oh! i went shopping and I tried on the most awesome lingerie! it's so cute and it looks like this and it feels so good on my skin.. basically just describe things sensually.
I avoid the whole "where are you from, what do you do, etc" thing. Try to ask original questions. Get his attention. Stick out in his mind.
About selling the specials... come out and stop in the middle of the room and look around, very theatrically. Then say "Oh! I want that one!," walk up to the guy and explain that he *has* to buy a dance. You've picked him out of all of them. Hell, if he turns out as nice as he looks, you might even keep him. Keep him? Yup, you're going to keep him in the closet downstairs and take him out when you want to use him *giggle* but first you have to dance for him.
These are the kinds of things that work for me, but really, it's 95% how you say it, not what you say.

Re: How to talk to customers?
Thanks everyone! These are terrific answers. To Susan, I'm not really shy, just like I said not sure of what to say - but you guys are right, being original should do the trick. Thanks again!!!!
Re: How to talk to customers?
super advice .... i ask them three different time in different ways ....would you like a dance, will you let me rub my breast all over you, i'm the best dancer here your missing out... i convince them that they need to get a dance from me...
Re: How to talk to customers?
You can always say "I have a hypothosis as to why Karl Marx's divison of labor theories espoused in the "German Ideology" did not take hold in the Bismarckian Machstaadt of post-1871 Germany, but did take hold in the crumbling fuedal Czarist authoritarian regime in World War I Russia. Lets go back to the VIP room and discuss it". That will get me every time ;D

Re: How to talk to customers?
You just talk, period. Even if you sound as if you don't know a thing of what you're saying, it's better than not speaking at all. Believe me, the guy will answer most of the time and will probably be talking the same gibberish. At least you're not being silent, as some dancers I've seen in San Juan and the overwhelming majority of dancers at clubs in western Puerto Rico.
Re: How to talk to customers?
Thanks again for everyone's replies, but as Carlos stated the "Just talk" part is what gets me. Talk about WHAT? Like I said before, I introduce myself, always give a handshake, ask their name, have they been here before............ and after that I'm lost. Please give me some more topics.
I can't really talk about myself, because I really have no friends, no social life (to clarify, I have been in LA 2 years and everyone I seem to meet are not up to my expectations of good, honest, loyal people that I would consider being my friend. Women here are catty and men just want 1 thing. Not to generalize about LA, I love it here, but that is the impression I have gotten).
Please help me with some topics I can bring up
Thanks!!
Re: How to talk to customers?
Good Evening Ladies, I just wanted to add to this thread and share some of the great things situations that always make me want to get a lap dance. Some of this only applies to LA, because the rules are different around the county. #1 I enter the club, go to sit down and a dancer walks right up and sits in my lap just as I'm sitting down. She flags down the waitress and then askes what would I like to drink. Yup that is forward, I bought her a drink and got 3 laps. #2 Anytime a dancer introduces her self by stage name, and sits down next to me and invest time talking about anything, I will get a lap dance from her. So what to talk about, you live in LA, talk about how nice it was to see the sunset last night, notice something you like about the guy and tell him about it. Anything you do to focus on him and make him feel special will work. Hey if he comes in after the Laker's game, know the score. #3 The big flirt. Ask him if he likes your shoes, hold up your foot, then when he takes a notice, ask if he can help you out cause your feet are sore tonight. I always take it and message it. Yup I know at that point I'm getting some laps. #5 Create scarceity, Ok this one is tough to explain but it goes like this. If I see you walking around a lot, I'm not interested cause your always avalible. But if I see you sitting with customers, I'm like damm I wish she was talking to me cause she gives attention. #6 I personally don't do drive by laps, so if I see you just going around the room leaning in on all the guys and asking for dances in rapid rate. I will say no. These are my views, note they are most likely not right for every guy as is. But I do believe that establishing something that makes you different from plain lean in and ask, makes yes more of a chance. RG
Re: How to talk to customers?
PS - Anklefrog, do you use this nickname cause you wear a little frog anklette. Because anklettes are so sexy, I find them just as attractive as belly rings. RG
Re: How to talk to customers?
Thanks for your reply RealGuy, no I have a frog tattoo on my ankle - don't ask......one of those stupid mistakes an 18-year-old makes!!! Oh, I do have a belly ring though ;)
