101 Questions
Hi everybody. I'm new here, but been a lurker for a while. I have some questions I'm sure you guys can answer. My biggest question is, as a dancer, when you file your taxes, do you have to state you are a dancer anywhere or give any indication of this. Obviously, you can't get breast augmentation deductions and like....
This is a stupid question but here goes.....Are there any clubs/states where there are less chances of raids (i.e. locale more tolerant of strip clubs). Can you get arrested even if you dance clean? Is there a good chance of this or is this a remote possibility? And finally,
is it possible to dance clean and still make money? (PS-I'm thinking airdancing) I'd appreciate any insights on these questions you ladies could provide :)

Re: 101 Questions
Hi Pinky. The answers to all of your tax questions can be found in the Dollar Den forum. Specifically, the tax return requires you to fill in a code number corresponding to "entertainer". In regard to deducting breast implants, there is an IRS letter ruling that allows dancers to deduct breast implants provided they are 1000cc or larger in size.
In regard to dancing and the law, yes there are many cities where clubowners and local policitians seem to have an "arrangement". San Francisco is probably the greatest example since dancers routinely offer HJ's BJ's and FS sex in the clubs yet these clubs are never busted since the local DA is on record that he isn't interested in pursuing prostitution charges as long as it's not happening on streetcorners. On the other hand, there are other cities where politicians seem to have an axe to grind, where dancers have been busted on prostitution charges for such things as touching another dancer's breast while on stage and a customer is tipping stageside (Texas). This is very much a local politics matter and it pays to do your homework.
It's also entirely possible for every dancer in a club to be busted even though some of the dancers aren't specifically breaking the law (or don't think they are). When it comes to a court of law, dancers are at an extreme disadvantage if a well respected local cop says they are guilty and the dancers say they are innocent. Your typical jury made up of housewives, retirees, bible thumpers, civil servants etc. will take the word of a local cop against the word of a dancer every time. After all, these people believe the hollywood stereotype that all dancers are whores, drug addicts, thieves etc and that is exactly what the prosecuting attorney is going to tell them.
It IS possible to do air dances and still make money, IF you are working in an upscale club. However, with so many dancers seeking clubs with good earnings potential, low contact levels, and low odds of being busted, the upscale clubs are usually inundated by 10 or 20 dancers seeking every job opening. This puts the upscale clubowners in the drivers seat in regard to the characteristics of the dancers they hire, which usually translates into a girl needing to be a '10', or a '9' with something special going for her, in order to be hired at an upscale club today. Granted that there are a few 'pockets' where it's possible for girls who are not '10's to be hired by decent clubs where they can earn decent money with zero or low contact, but these locations are becoming more rare by the day. But in general, girls who have to work in 'second tier' clubs because they don't "measure up" to upscale club hiring standards usually face the choice of delivering high mileage in order to earn decent money, or to dance with zero contact but earn very little for their effort.
