It's given me a more positive outlook on it. The more I know about a subject, the more confident I am with it, and these forums really helped me get alot of info. Also, it gave it a more personal feel. Not in a nasty way. Basically, I have a problem relating with most girls (they don't like me, I really don't know why...) so one of my biggest fears was working with girls in that kind of environment. After coming to this board and seeing that most of the girls here are extremely nice, I decided to go check out the clubs and could talk to the girls knowing a little about what to ask/expect. It's put me at ease to know if I ever have a question, I can bring it up here and have it answered by someone experienced. :)
Hi Susan,
I definitely still fall in the wanna-be category, but just wanted to mention that, gees what haven't I learned so far! I am shooting for a May audition, still working out and getting the bod into shape. You guys have been amazing when it comes to information, and also setting us newbies STRAIGHT. (This is the biggest plus.) I really pore over all your posts, it's truly an education. Don't get me wrong, I know there is a big difference between "talking the talk, and walking the walk", and I know full well that when I get out there it's still going to take time and practice, but with knowledge comes power! I think everyone would love a little leverage like that when striking out in something new. (and intimidating!) :) I have great respect for you all, this site is outstanding.
P.S. - what have I learned about strippers? Smart, savvy business women, who stick to their guns,no-nonsense attitudes, who can teach you to roll with the punches, stand your ground, being strong and respectful. a group of classy dames-
hugs to all,

I decided to start dancing a few months ago, and because Iwas only 18, I knew nothing about the business. So I poured through web pages and web pages looking for any information. Stripper Web is by far the best site. Everyone here is absolutely wonderful and I feel so much more ready to dance now that I have taked in the forum and read all the articles. I have never had a negative perception of strippers, and members of this site have only enforced my beliefs. Sex appeal and intelligence are by no means mutually exclusive, and the women of this site exemplify that. I am so fortunate that I was able to find a "community" of people that are so supportive. Much thanks!

I've never had problems with asking for help or expressing my opinions, but when you are unfamiliar enough with something that you don't even know what questions to ask it can become problematic. That's where you guys have helped the most - when I go down to check out the local club tomorrow night, I'll know what it is I need to ask about and observe. Thanks so much!

What have I learned as a newbie on this forum?
There is a strong feeling of togetherness and respect found among dancers, which is a big change from the corporate cutthroats I'm used to dealing with.
I'm also amazed at how giving and forthcoming everyone - dancers, djs, customers - in regard to their own experiences, offering advice and welcoming questions.
That I can disagree with someone in one post and receive advice from them in the next.
I've also learned that dancing is not all "G-String Divas" or "Blue Iguana".
That you can have a happy marriage while dancing.
That a "7" in one person's eyes is a "10" in another.
That you don't have to dance like Britney, but you do have to PERFORM (not just stroll)
That you can give your all and walk away with nothing.
That you can give your all and walk away with more money in one night than most people make in a week.
That "stripper" is not a dirty word.
That Pilates can kill you ;D
That the best deals on fake tats and body jewelry can be found at Sally's Beauty Supply
I could go on, but I can suffice it to say that thanks to Stripperweb, I no longer have doubts about stripping. I feel that any question I have will be answered without making me feel/look like a moron :)
I hope as I become more experienced, I can offer some of what has been given to me.

It's actually given me a more positive outlook on the business. I've always known that becoming an exotic dancer was something that I've wanted to do, but I just never really knew how to voice that.
I love being able to come online and read about you're good and bad nights and what to expect. Alot of dancer sites only talk about the glitz and glamour. Which I think we all know is a boat load of bull****!
I'm really thankful for coming across this site. Even though I don't post as much as I'd like, I still am online faithfully everyday for a lesson of some kind in the art of dance. Thank you ladies for opening up your minds to express your selves to the rest of us newbies. ;D
i have also learned alot
but the most important thing i think i have learned is that not all strippers are catty bitches. This is the one thing that people have been 'warning' me about. But now i know for sure that there is probably the same ratio of cattiness in any job
thanx for the info ond support
