yes schols help. try to walk around in your house with thick socks on to stretch them out for a few days. it almost always takes some breaking in of new shoes but they shouldnt hurt to much. did you get the right size? take bandaids with you the first night just in case of blisters.
Also get a shoe stretcher "thingy". Any show store will let you use one inside the store to stretch them some. If they are leather they will stretch fine, as does vinyl.
Pamela ;) Ps and packing them for a few days with paper (really stuffing) and moving them in different positions will help some.
if they are clear shoes, it helps to warm them with a hairdryer before you slip your feet in - just to stretch it out so when the plastic cools , it conforms to your tootsies... Not too hot, though - don't want a melted pair of heels!

oh yes they are the right size.. the boot just has no padding is all. ill try the socks thing that should help alot
Hey- I know this is an old post, but I wanted to share my new trick! I bought some knee high boots that were two sizes two small ( "I didn't know that I needed to order them two sizes larger than my natural size," I wailed.)
SO, the blowdryer trick didn't work, and neither did wearing them around the house.
I took a large plastic bag (gallon size) and filled it half way with water. I unlaced my shoes, and stuck the bag all the way down into the toe and heel area, and then zipped the bag, and closed up the shoe as much as possible. Take them out the next day, let them thaw a little bit and take out the bag.
Then you put them in the freezer and let the water expand as it freezes. My boots feel a lot better even after doing it once, though I should probably do it at least one or two more times. Hope that works for everyone else too!
