Re: How old is too old to be top dancer?
I had a conversation with one of my managers the other night about how he felt bad about having to tell a dancer that was there that they hired her only for day shift and that she could finish out that night shift but wouldn't be allowed on stage. She was a decade younger than me. I told him that the day they want me to go to day shift I will quit dancing. His response was to tell me that I wouldn't have to worry about that for a long, long time. Customers usually guess me to be 20-27 and I turn 35 in a month. Hot is hot if you take care of yourself. These threads are so funny to me. I work with several women older than me including some grandmothers and they make me feel inferior, lol. I will note that almost all of them have had surgery or other cosmetic procedures, mostly boobs, but nothing extreme. My theory is that if you are hot/successful enough to make it to your thirties and beyond there is a damn good reason for it.

I heard of a situation where a girl sued a club for telling her she's too old and she won
My attorney had heard of that case as well ... but it pertained to a club that was forced to treat dancers as 'employees' ( minimum wage paycheck, tax withholding etc.). Age discrimination is a DOL criteria for 'employees', but not for independent contractors.

If I have to get surgery to look younger I will just stop dancing. Ive been watching that show Botched. Too scary and too expensive.

^^^ wasn't Rick's being sued by dancers trying to be declared 'employees' in order to collect back minimum wages ?
Re: How old is too old to be top dancer?
I never understand this line of questioning. I've never even seen a top earner younger than 25. In fact, every insane mega hustler I've worked with has been in her 30s. Personally, I've only gotten hotter and more ruthless as I've gotten older. Who cares about being old?!

They will NOT let you apply w/o submitting your DL for copying :(, @ least where I've applied in Chicago area.

Speaking of ageism who the fuck keeps resurrecting these mummified threads? Goddamn!

When you cash your social security check on the way to the club.

Exactly. These threads kill me. I'm 46 and walk into any cub and get hired. In the last two staes I went ( never been) I didn't even have to audition except one club out of 5. Girls always tell me I'm beautuful and one girl I ran into at the grocery ( without makeup) thought I was her around her age 28. Hot is hot and I think honestly girls 20-25 are cute but don't have the hot factor yet. I'll never forget when a customer said that to me when I was 23. He was admiring a girl on stage about 6 years older thsn me. And he said she's hot. Your too young yet to have the hot/it factor but you will. Now I get what he was saying. The hottest girl out of 150 I just worked with use to be a shooter girl. She's a massage girl now and my age. She is just so sexy. I was watching her stretch before her night and I walked up to her and said " you are so damn hot'! She was like sooo are you. my girl crush. lol.
