Anybody seen this month's issue of Playboy?
I'm visiting my parents' now, and like I've done for the past 20 years, the first thing I do is make a beeline for my dad's issue of Playboy, hee hee. Anyway, the Playmate of the month is the "oldest" in Playboy history. She's 35. That's not very old in my opinion, but it's nice to see a real woman celebrated for a change. I thought I would share this with all of you since age is an issue that comes up frequently on this board. We all know how sexy and beautiful a mature woman is - nice to see Hef show some support.

Yeah, my boyfriend always makes jokes that he remembers when the playmates were always OLDER than him. Now, he feels semi-perverted looking at girls that were born in 1984!!!
Re: Anybody seen this month's issue of Playboy?
It's simple economics. Like the upscale dance clubs, Playboy tries to appeal to guys with lots of "discretionary income" to cover the cost of the sports cars, big screen TV's, boats and other expensive stuff that Playboy advertises, because these upscale product advertisers are the ones keeping Playboy in the black. As the economy gets worse and worse, most of the guys in their 20s and early 30s who once made tons of money with dotcom companies have now been laid off. Instead they're stocking shelves at WalMart or doing sales and service work for 1/2 of what they used to earn. As a result, Playboy marketing research is telling them that they better try/continue to appeal to those guys who are still earning the big bucks - professional guys in their late 30's and older, who have the seniority to keep their high paying jobs! This same change in demographics is also helping "older" dancers in the upscale clubs!
PS this month's playmate also has BOOBS (well, by Playboy standards anyhow)!
Re: Anybody seen this month's issue of Playboy?
LOL.... I haven't seen a "NEW" playboy in a long time. My husband, though, has somehow managed to collect a bunch of OLD Playboys from the 70's, 80's and 90's -- not many, but somehow he stumbled on them like at used book stores and such and picked them up.
If you ever get a chance, read some of them. The whole attitude toward nudity and stripping and such seemed to be w-w-w-a-a-a-a-y-y different back then, at least from reading those old mags. The girls were a LOT more "average" looking compared to today. One old issue has a big spread on the Crazy Horse in Las Vegas and a feature on a school teacher who won it's "amateur night" (back when those really WERE "amateur nights") and decided she was going to stay there and work as a stripper!!! (Apparently, no one had figured out how to use "amateur nights" for tryouts back then.)
Anyway, no, I haven't seen this month's Playboy. I haven't seen last months Playboy, either. Damn. Maybe I should subscribe.
