Hi, i'm new to this
Hi, i'm new to this and don't know how to start my dream of being a sex kitten. i'm always told how sexy i am. i would like to dance, model and do films. i think i need photos done but i dont have much $ to invest. where do i start? i'm not mobile either so that limits me. i'm 24 now but am still gullible, i also look very young (like 12). i live in Milwaukee. is there anybody living or working here or near by? i'm in need of a mentor that i can trust. Thanks for the info i learned on this site so far.. Happy Holidays!

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
I'm new to this too, but also found this site to be great and very informational. I live in Nevada, so I won't be much help to you, but I'm offering my support. The only thing that scares me the most about dancing is the other girls and possible "politics" in the club. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Hi Maia 13,
First you can start free of charge by educating yourself alot more by reading all over this site. And going to your local library and picking up books about modeling, self esteem, and promoting yourself to reputable agencies in your area. Get in you phone book and ask how much for a consult. And have one nice face and body shot taken. Send to nearby agencies. They love to see polaroids! If you look good in a polaroid you look better on higher quality film! It may sound like a bit much to get started. But you have to start someplace hun...
Lotsa luck, Pamela

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Maia,
Well, you have gotten off to a good start by choosing that name. I have heard it twice before, but of out of over a thousand dancers I have personally worked with, that's not bad. And I have never seen it spelled that way.
I am breaking my promise to myself to stop posting in this section, as yet another guy distracting from what is an excellent and much-needed forum for dancers. But you must be warned that this business is not all fun and games. If you are gullible, as you say, toughen up a bit, or you will become rapidly disillusioned at the least.
It sure beats working for McDonalds or in a cubicle in some vapid corporate environment, but being a dancer exposes you to an endless barrage of come-ons from guys who will tell you ANYTHING to get what they want from you. These guys are all movie-producers, established photographers (you will get all kinds of offers to take pictures, and most of them have far more in mind), high-powered agents, the president of the corporation, blah blah. You are also exposing yourself to manipulation from management and even some of the dancers. You have to be able to harden your heart a bit and be somewhat skeptical to survive very long.
If you are going to be a sex kitten, remember to sharpen your claws...
Choose your club carefully, this will make an enormous difference in your success and happiness. Try to talk to the DJ in any club you are thinking of working at first. If he seems dismissive or arrogant go elsewhere, because the DJ can make or break a newbie very easily, and unfortunately a lot of DJs are egotistical jerks who could care less...
Well, having said all that, I am out of here, these smart sexy women will tell you everything you need to know, much better than I can.
Have fun and be careful,
Djoser

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
your comment that you look 12 years old and that you would like to do film work may open the door to an area of of major earning potential. I would advise either obtaining a digital camera or having some regular camera shots digitized, then e-mail your photos to several XXX film producers. As an actress of legal age who appears to be 12 years old and who is willing to do XXX film work is a rare commodity, I have little doubt that one (or several) of the producers will offer to pay your air fare and accomodations from Milwaukee to LA and also pay you extremely well for a couple of days of shooting!

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Thanks for all the great advice and support!
i think i'll start with some books. i've learned that attitude is your best asset. i know i need to get hard. i like the idea of getting a digi-cam too.
i'm concern about the politics in dancing too. i'm limited in choice of clubs here. i know there a lot of cut-throats out there and i take offense to the men that think i'm a ho. honestly i haven't tried any out yet. i'll visit a couple of em. i'll let you know what i think.

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Sounds like a great plan Maia 13. Educate yourself about the business! If you feel a little insecure, become secure, go visit clubs. READ, READ. You will see we are just like you...no better! Look at pictures of women in magazines. Take 'their' pose as best you can, a quite sexy one! Nude if one calls for it. Look at your best "body" asset and play it up...Eyes, hair, legs.....you know what i mean ;)
As far as politics and clubs ask questions directly to the club. If something looks (if you visit,) or sounds not right to you, follow that instinct!!!!! Move to another and check that one out. Keep moving, work slowly, and you will make it. Get attitude!!! Practice being forward but not bitchy in a mirror. When you are comfortable practice on close friends. If they laugh...great, thats what works...don't laugh back keep talking as though they are listening to every word you say very carefully! People laugh when they are nervous at times, and getting beyond one laughing when you speak is great progress!!!!! keep talking. When in the real world, (not practicing with friends) and someone laughs simply say " i amuse you, thats nice"! " i make you laugh, " i love when people are happy!" ect. Lotsa luck.... a tired Pamela :P

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Melonie has a good point. Take a look at how much work and "exposure" is received by the porn starlet known as Guage. I'm not sure how well it would go over in the average strip joint, beyond an obvious edge with schoolgirl and cheerleader costumes - most men I know have told me it makes them slightly uncomfortable seeing a girl who looks barely pubescent. Something about it being reminiscient of their own daughters...

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
I totally agree McCain, also look at the guys who have fantasies about young girls. Quite a few men feel good looking at younger looking ladies, it takes them back to when they where young again, a great esteem booster! And yes i agree the school girl and cheerleader fantasy is pretty popular. A young looking girl performing for a man should be a real turn on to alot of older guys! As for some guys thinking of their daughters ...yes agree. I think she would do well, young is hot for lots of guys! Where older women are hot for lots of guys. It works both ways. What ever turns them on.

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
i'm definitely doing my homework. i'm amazed by all the things i never cosidered. i really have little skill in the "girly" things like make up, hair, shoes, clothes. i'm a tomboy. rarely wear make up. what's a good, afforable make up to try? also what do i do with my hair. it refuses to get straight and it's breaking. it's awful.
also, i got a problem with finding shoes for my little feet. i'm a (almost) size five. i always run into a problem with width. i need practice in walking too. i forgot to consider exercise. what exercises would be good? also, i need to know some tips on foot care and pedicures.
i just read the article "do it yourself pedicure" on this site. very helpful.
:D

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Maia, buy Cosmopolitan magazine. Look at the models, makeup clothing, all. Read articles about being sexy, dressing for your man ect. These are articles that will get you out of 'tomboy' mode. Get your shoes from the petite section at a mall. condition...condition your hair, stop messing with it, give it a rest for now. Learn how to walk....one foot straight in front of the other, shoulders back and breast out! Takes practice. Put little notes around your house, like fridge, mirrors to remind you about the girly ways of life. I grew up riding horses roping cows. Never wore a dress. Now i have transformed...you can too!!
Lotsa luv... Pamela.... oh, Buy any cheap brand makeup to start.. Cosmopolitan can be a tomboys bible ;)

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Hi Maia,
I'm a tomboy in real life too. My rl freinds don't even recognize me at work without my ponytail and with no make up on LOL.
Make up is not that hard if you go at it logically. To begin with you probably just need a cheepo shaping blush, foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, lip liner and lip stick or gloss. Look at a picture in a magazine. Make your face all one color with the foundation and then use the shaping blush to paint on shadows like the picture in the magazine. Add eyes and lips and you have a face ;D
Hair... what does your hair look like? Is it long? I would just condition the hell out of it and do hot oil treatments. Anti-frizz serum is your freind :) I've never been able to fix my hair as well as the proffessionals tho. I can pamper it for a week and not do as much as a hair stylist can do in an hour. So it might be worthwhile to spend the eighty dollars having it professionally fixed and cut and ask them what to do for it and how to style it.
Shoes... a stripper store will have or be able to order shoes that fit you.
Excercise.. it depends. What are your goals? Do you want to be thinner? More muscular?

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Thanks Pamela for all your replies. Thanks everybody for all the help. coming to this forum was the best thing to happen for me. i'm glad i chose to wait till now to start dancing. i think i'm almost ready to go. maybe a couple more weeks i dunno. how long does it take to walk fairly well in 6inch platform shoes?
Thanks Lena, i will condition more. my hair is about shoulder length. i rather have someone else do my hair too. i like braids or twisties in the front and let it flow in back. that'll be better than straightening it.
for exercise, i want more muscle! i'm little and thin. i got curves tho and big breasts for my little frame. i wish my breasts were firmer. they kinda saggy in my opinion. but i've mostly been told that i needed to gain a little weight and i'd be good. i've had a problem with eating disorders tho. i'm working on that too but it takes time 'cause i've had this since i was very young. i once had the treat of having a body trainer for a month. i gained weight and it was muscle. it was great. if only i could afford more than 1 month

Re: Hi, i'm new to this
Hiya, Maia. I've said MANY times that the whole "persona" thing is what makes you money in this business. You can do the 13-year-old girl thingie and some guys will go crazy over that. I saw one OTHER routine in a club with a girl your size/build that made a TON of money. Two girls partnered up in a BDSM-sorta act. Both stripped, but the younger/smaller girl played the submissive to the other's Domme. They actually had a collar and leash, and when they worked the floor, the Domme lead the subbie around by the leash. The Domme did all the talking and arranged for the lap dances and VIP room gigs for the subbie. Sometimes they would do two-fers with the guys. The customers LOVED it.
