2nd opinion please

Re: 2nd opinion please
Just my opinion....
I think this guy is an asshole who is not really after hiring a dancer.
>> I 'm looking for a Model/ Dancer to enjoy being photographed and Videoed, in the Sunny Spain.None of the work will be sold.
OK. We'll legitimize it by saying that photos and video will be taken. But that might concern the "dancer." So we'll say the photographs won't be used.
Then why the hell take the photos and video?
>>I have a web site and will send on details if you reply to [email protected]
Using yahoo.com and hotmail.com is highly suspicious. Anonymous, so you can't check them out. Free, so you have to wonder how legitimate a business it is.
>>This is a genuine trip.Paid for. The Model will be under 24, no boob jobs, nor manager or boyfriend need attend.
Fit his "ideal girl" specs and leave any sense of security behind.
When I photograph models, I run into this, and it's PERFECTLY acceptable to have an escort along for security. I'm surprised that more models don't do it. And on an out-of-country trip? Oh, man....
>>I WOULD SUGGEST A QUICK REPLY PLEASE.
"DON'T THINK ABOUT IT - JUST HURRY AND DO IT."
>>I have almost found the perfect model, just about to sign her up.
What the hell does THAT mean? He's about to sign someone up, but he wants someone else to come in first?
>>This is a good chance to be in Spain in February, don't say nothing any good comes along, you have to make thing happen if you want to get on.
Again... don't think about it! I, the anonymous person, say it's good - trust me!
Well, you wanted an opinion........

Re: 2nd opinion please
My opinion, stay far away from him. I admit I do not know much about that industry, but to me not wanting boyfriends or managers around seems to be a red flag. His general attitude does not seem very professional, and even if he is legitimite he sounds like he may be a jerk to work for.

Re: 2nd opinion please
I get similar offers all the time! Yes there is a "modeling fee" involved, but there are also almost guaranteed anxious moments as the "photographer" tries non-stop to get into your pants! I have only accepted one offer of this nature, and it was for a lot more prestigious outfit than this particular website, and after doing my Lucy Liu impression for two straight days I never accepted another one.

Re: 2nd opinion please
I have looked for it and cannot locate the article anymore but NALI -http://www.nalionline.org/ has/had an article about two, maybe three years ago listing all of the scammers posing as photographers. This guys alias does not match his ISP records nor his email/user id name, and his server is not based in the UK fwiw.
There were/are literally hundreds of these scams and they can run the gauntlet. The worst one that I saw was done against a naive dancer from Delilah's in 1992. She was promised a loan from an Italian customer, he took her to Italy and bought her what was supposed to be a lot of expensive Italian jewlery. It ended up being worth about $25 US and once she had her loan papers translated it was too late as when she had signed for her "disbursement check" she had actually signed a loan for him for $30k.
