Brought in cuter clothes. I already had the foresight to bring in my own cheering section.

Warmed up longer and brought more costumes.
I would have definitely researched clubs first!! I picked the first one I saw, which was SUCH a hole in the wall and filled with all these creepy old men. THEN I found out that my dad used to go to that place! :o Even though he now lives an hour away from that club, I knew I had to go elsewhere.
I'd have skipped live dancing altogether and went straight to the internet and webcam.
I would've gone blonde a lot sooner. I think I listened too much to other people, especially other girls about how blonde hair would'nt look right on me. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. :)
I would have done it sooner! What the heck was I so afraid of? I first thought of b ecoming a dancer back in 1992, but didn't actually get around to auditioning until late in 1998. That is sure a lot of time to be working up the nerve, huh?
i would have spent a lot less time doing a "regular legitimate" job for waaaaay less money in order to please the expectations of other people, and worked full time as a dancer, which was really what i ended up figuring out was what i wanted to do all along. so i ended up wasting a lot of time too, but for a different reason.
I would have spent less time working for someone else at a 9-5 making less and just dedicated that same time to dancing and made probably 3-4X the money. Also I would have be more concerned with what I thought of me and not what others thought of me.
Ok, I got bored tonight. I decided to go back...wayyyyyy back to the beginning. I found this post, that I wrote and I was wondering if anyone else had anything additional to say?
I guess the only thing to say is that I would've started sooner.
I would have gotten better outfits.
I wouldn't have gotten so drunk and worked at the shittiest hole in the wall possible. But it wasn't exactly my decision, I tagged along with a friend. I also would have tried wearing heels and not a pair of doc martin ankle boots!!!! Blegh! But hey, I had no clue what the hell I was doing!
Stayed away from the damn pole. It looked easy enough, was not, i was intimidated by it, so i learned it. Now i can do more with a pole than a monkey on a branch.

Oh my lmao! Even I know not to do that :dazzled:Quote:

^^^^ hahah yeah I hear ya! Awww but we all learn as time goes on I guess ;)
I would have not bought ONE outfit for the 5 sets that we do (LOL) and I also would cchange the way I danced. I was too nervous so I didnt dance slow enough. Also, Id have spent less time working crap jobs (doctors office for 8.50 an hr) and have started earlier!
If I would have known that I would have to strip down to nothing, I would have shaved!!!! I had it way too natural. I did not have a single costume when I first auditioned. I had a slip that some girl loaned me and my normal high heels. No thong. Hey, I was never nervous after that though!
OK I was just going through some old posts, and this one made me smile. So for all of those who haven't responded, please give me some feedback.
Wouldn't have been so nervous, but then again I think it made all the custy's and even some of the other girls feel for me so I had a really good first few nights. I had a couple guys give me $20 to sit with them so they could tell me to relax. I wish I would have had stripperweb then also.
Hmmmmm... not good relations with Dad eh?Quote:

I would have figured out WAAAAAAAYYYY sooner that it's about SALES, much more than LOOKS!
I also would have started a lot sooner so I could be retired by now.Quote:

The first time I danced is a complete blur. I went for a cocktail job when I was 19. The management and the most beautiful dancers talked me into trying it. I was so scared and horrible on stage--no rhythm. I was better on the floor, but freaked out when I came in for work the next day. I wasn't ready again until 03'. I stranded myself in another state with no $$, so I would have to at least give it a try. Now, I love it. I sometimes wish I had been ready earlier, but there is no telling what kind of shit I may have gotten myself into....I also would have missed meeting some of the important people I have in my life.
