I work at a club in the metro Detroit area and can give you the scoop on all of the clubs.

What part of Michigan do you live in? I work in Detroit and can tell you about most of the clubs there. PM me...
I dance in Ypsi, but they're sending me to Detroit for the next four days. What's the deal with the dance cards? I dont need one at my home club, but I have to get one for Detroit. What I.D. should I bring with me?
MacKenzie, where in Detroit are you planning on working?
Some of the clubs do not require dance licenses. Only the clubs in the city of Detroit make the dancers go through that ordeal.
These are the clubs I know of that do not require licenses--
BT's, Silver Cricket, and The Pantheon Club in Dearborn and the Flight Club and Bogarts in Inkster. There may be more, but that's all I know of personally...the only two worthwhile clubs are Pantheon and the Flight Club (which is the best club in metro Detroit).
There are two good clubs in Romulus by Metro Airport, the Landing Strip and The Playhouse, but Romulus requires a separate license for the dancers at these establishments. It's about $115 for processing and a criminal background check, but the city hall and police station move the girls through quickly. You can be done with it in 30 minutes if you have the paperwork.
On the other hand.....
The Detroit license is frankly a $300 pain in the ass and a wasted morning spent at the police station downtown. You'll need a felony clearance, fingerprints, etc. It's not an expedient process, and unless you go with someone who knows what they are doing, it's confusing. I got mine with three other girls and an agent and it still took us 6 hours to get the licenses. If you're only going to be dancing 4 days, I would suggest avoiding the Detroit clubs...not worth the money or hassle unless you plan on using the license at a later date.
Let me know in a PM what club you plan on working at and I can help you out further with the license situation or what to do to get hired....
I had to go to the Greek Town DeJa Vu opening :-\. They took me to get my card, it was'nt too bad. I'm glad they paid for it though.
I work at DJV in Ypsi. I really like those clubs as a customer, but I could never dance there. I'm strickly "hands off", my husband would freak out :o. I haven't checked out the Pantheon yet, but it's next on my list.Quote:

Are you coming to the Greek Town Vu in the next few days? If you are, please help me out, I've never worked in a club like this before. I dont know how to make money here, it's so easy at my club!
Message me!!!
I just moved to west MI. Any intel on that side of the state?
Detroit is very heavy on the extras, trust me. It is possible to still make $ but it will be annoying because guys will ask. Guys out here think that $60-$100 entitles them to sex with you. It's ridiculous. Just stick to your boundaries. Don't fall into the extras and drugs scene and you can be alright. Deja vu ypsi is probably the cleanest club in Michigan.
There is another lovely lady on here, I believe is in the area..
I don't want to call her out, but I'm sure she'll come over & add to this. :)
So I just wanted to say I have heard a lot of girls say they have made really good money at Legends in Detroit. So much so on stage and in tips that they really don’t need to try to get dances to make good money. I have worked at Coliseum, and like other girls said, a lot of customers wanted everything for $100, which gets old really quick. I mean, there’s other guys who will pay $500-$800 supposedly for extras from what I’ve heard. I wasn’t soliciting extras, but it was a super hustle. Definitely could have banked if I was about the extras. Coliseum was good when Mike was the night shift DJ because he always played the best music and put night shift girls into rotation without needing to check in with him, and he worked Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights, which were always the best money nights. Mike was the best DJ I have ever worked with. Tuesday-Friday, Frankie typically worked, and I hated working with him. He had a drinking problem, he wouldn’t put girls into rotation UNLESS you checked in with him, half the time he would mispronounce girls names, and also if you didn’t want to go on stage, he just wouldn’t put you in rotation, which made it a pain in the ass for the 50% of dancers who were in rotation, because we would have to pay the $20 to skip our set if we were doing dances more frequently (which Frankie pocketed, Mike was honest about it though). And Frankie would play some crappy slow ass music except in the off chance that Alan was hanging out in the bar, which was pretty infrequent. Dayshift was good, Chris was the dayshift DJ Monday-Friday, he was a good DJ. Saturday-Monday nights was not enough nights so I eventually stopped working at Coliseum.
Anyway, I am posting though because I have heard from everyone I have talked to that has worked at Legends that the money is very good and easy to make, just in tips. Apparently hiring has gotten tougher though, because my homegirl tried working at Legends and the manager told her she was sorry, but she couldn’t work. She’s pretty hott, at least a 7/10. So hiring must have gotten pickier since they reopened after their vast renovations 2 years ago. I’m sure extras go on at Legends, it is just the fact that the extras girls say they make enough in tips that they don’t even need to hustle to try to get dances at Legends that tells you a lot.
I have heard that if you work at Coliseum and quit to go to Legends and want to come back, Nicole (the night shift manager at Coliseum) will usually fine you $500. So I would try getting hired at Legends first and then try Coliseum. I have heard Legends dayshift clientele is not great though, so if you are looking to work just dayshift, Coliseum would be better. The dayshift manager was a prick when I worked at Coliseum, although I heard they have a new dayshift manager. Dayshift money was usually good, although Saturday dayshift was hit-or-miss. Tipout was significantly lower on dayshift. Stage tips were less during the day, but it didn’t matter, dayshift girls made significantly better money at Coliseum.
Wow. This was super informative. I've been thinking about dancing in Detroit I heard they got the bag out there. I've seen girls make a lot of money at Ace of Spades, this club called Truth & Crazy Horse. I'm slim but I can work the pole so do you think it would be worth it for trap out there for a week?
