I think The Cheetah is the best club. You have to get a permit that is $300-350. They have a pretty good web site that will give you more information.
In 1996, I worked at Follies on Buford Highway, so what I am about to tell you may be outdated.
Cheetah 3 is a good club, money wise. Another one where you are likely to make bank is the Taj Mahal in the Marietta area. Very posh place, last I checked. It and Cheetahs are usually the two top grossing clubs. Pink Pony is good, but realize that it is almost consistently pulling in features, as do many other Atlanta clubs.
Don't bother with the Blue Flame, unless you are ethnic.
Follies was a decent mid-level club when I worked there, but there is a high number of Mexicans frequenting it. It was also one of the favored bars of several members of local motorcycle clubs, but the vast majority of those guys were really sweet. Management there is decent - no stage fee, but you have tipouts and there are fines if you are late or no-show.
I heard Mardi Gras also had some decent earning potential, as did Gold Rush.
Unless things have changed, strip joints in Atlanata CAN be open on Sunday, if they are serving a full menu. Follies was open seven days a week when I worked there. Also, if there are now licenses required, that's new. i was never required to have a license to dance, but that was also six years ago.
And, yes, almost all the clubs ARE full nude.
If you decide to work at Follies, drop me a message letting me know if the blind guy still comes in there every day and if the girls still do "Braille dances" for him. ;D

Oh, one thing that may account for discrepancies between my accounts and AggieEd's - Atlanta is so big it actually is located inportions of two or three different counties. So laws may be different from county to county, even though you are still in Atlanta. I would double check everything legal when you get there.

I am going to be visiting Atlanta very soon, and work like to work while I'm there. I would highly appreciate any info I could get.... Such as: Do all clubs have an outrageous licensing fee? Which clubs are okay with pierced chicks? Where do the guys that like pierced chicks go? Who would let an out-of-towner work just a few shifts? Where are the other girls easy to get along with? If I left anything out that anyone thinks would be helpful, I would be super-grateful! Thanx!!!
yup, the cheetah 3 is the best club. I started there and it's kind of hard to go anywhere else. The only reason I left is b/c I've recently moved to San Fran.NO touching, lots of money. My advice is to dress a little differently, there ARE between 40 and 120 girls every night. ;) ''simone''
I think most of the clubs in Atlanta are good about no-touching policies, if I remember right.
The only guy allowed to touch us at Follie's was the aforementioned blind guy, because he was actually fully blind. It was generally agreed that it would be inappropriate to discriminate against him in our services, based on a handicap. If he wished for a dance from a girl, and the girl was copacetic with the deal, he was permitted to put his hands on the shoulders, arms, waist, or hips of the girl so that he could tell what her movements were. Very, very, very polite man who always behaved. But he was an absolute exception to everything else I witnessed while working in Atlanta.
Neither here nor there, but I just woke up a little while ago and was pondering on this point.

actually it is the local county mountie's office which issues dancer's licenses, which are required for every club located in that county. The deputy takes your application and your $300 (may be even higher now), then runs your record for outstanding warrants, past drug, prostitution or other criminal charge busts, even busts for violating other dancing ordinances in other areas, based on the picture ID you are required to show. If no 'dirt' turns up in your background check you'll be issued a county-wide license which is good for a year and which is required by every club in the county including downtown Atlanta clubs as well as clubs in Buckhead (near airport). I believe that once you get north of the city a bit, you cross over the county line and dancers licenses are not required by clubs located in the other county (which may also have changed by now). One club I've been to on the 'North Side' which wasn't too bad was The Oasis - however in terms of earning potential it can't compare to the big three 'convention clubs' in the city of Atlanta - Cheetah 3, Gold Club and Pink Pony.
Answers to all of the above pretty much begin and end with "The Clermont Lounge." 8)Quote:

Goldrush and Pink Pony are owned by the same people, I think... I know the owners of Pink Pony own several clubs in the area. Ummm, unless they have changed format in the past few years, both of those should be ones that regularly bring in XXX features. Had a girl that was moonlighting at my old club, who also worked at GoldRush - she said she made good money there. She was only moonlighting because she was trying to put tuition money together quickly.
Cheetah 3 - general opinion all the way around has always been that this is one of the best in the area to make good money. I hear the occasional odd rumour from guys that it is where the "friendliest (wink, wink)" girls work, but it is so few and far between, that I wouldn't really take that into real consideration. It is certainly one of the most heavily frequented by tourists, businessmen, etc, from everything I remember.
Mardi Gras in Marietta... had a few friends who worked there. Not a bad place from all accounts, pretty mid-level form what I was told. Unless things have changed, it is a favorite of the Atlanta chapter of the Outlaws motorcycle club (I seem to recall they hold one or two of their yearly functions there), but the guys I knew from the Outlaws were almost all pretty good folks. So I wouldn't worry too much about that - you'd be amazed by how many of them are lawyers and the like. Most of the girls I knew said the money they made was OK - could be better, could be worse. Same can be said in most places.
The best in the Marietta area has normally been the Taj Mahal.
I can make a few emails to old friends and see if there is anything new or different about that region these days. If there is, I'll post again. Can't say i know anythign else about the rest of theclubs there.
Oh, stay away from ANY PLACE that is located near the Dial Inn....that's a very VERY bad part of town... a lot of cab drivers won't even accept calls to that area after dark...

With the NBA All Star Game to be held in Atlanta next weekend, I've always been curious how athletes act at SC's. Does every girl get a chance to spend time with them, or do the athletes make the call on who they want to hang with and eventually spend money on.
The NBA guys will probably be maintaining a super-low profile presence this year, after all of the terrible nationwide publicity generated by the Gold Club bust. But to answer your question, very little "up close and personal" interchange takes place inside Atlanta clubs compared to most clubs in the US. Now after-hours parties are another story .....
Mike,
If you're wondering do all the girls flock to the sports stars when they walk in leaving the normal guys sitting around with no girls.....no.
My experience has been that celebrities (sports and otherwise) have such inflated egos that when they walk into a strip club, they expect attention for free. Now, the girls who are fans of that particular celebrity will (of course) flock around him and give him the attention he needs.....often forgetting that they are there to work. Sean Combs apparently refused to pay for 2 hours worth of 4 dancers' time in the champagne room in Vegas after they assumed he would take care of them.
I noticed at Christies in Phoenix, the Suns come in relatively often and always sit in the reserved VIP balcony. They will call on the girls they want to meet...(or certain girls are automatically brought over to them because they've got the hook-up with the VIP host)
Personally, I usally avoid celebrities because I can make more money off the normal guys in the crowd than I can "hoping" that I'll bank off a celebrity....but thats just because I've gotten burned everytime.

Just to let all you gals know, the Taj Mahal is no longer a strip club. I like the pink pony...they have a very wide variety of girls and I love that. Also if you are thinking about Boomer's in Marietta, it's a 18 and up club so no liquor allowed...which leads me to think that the money wouldn't be all that great. But it could be a great place for a beginner to get her feel for the scene. I live in Atlanta so if anyone has questions PM me and I will try to answer them as best as I can. ;-)

My friend is moving to Atlanta come the first of the year...might want to visit her off and on...any of these clubs cool with large tattoos? Its a long shot I know!
~Tori~
im considering atlanta as well.
here's my deal:
i heard they have these strict rules such as no spreading your legs on stage, you must have pubic hair (this one would be an issue for me, i like to show off my tattoo and piercings). are there such rules as these? what are they? are they the same for all clubs or do they vary with different clubs?
i have kind of a ny accent. my friend from boston moved to savannah for school and is having a hard time cause she's from the north. do they give northern girls a hard time?
One of my girlfriends danced in Atlanta and she too told me that you had to have pubic hair to work in certain clubs. Why? ??? I need to know about that issue.
Because the nude clubs there are upscale, they dont want you showing your, well you know,no spreading, must have hair, they dont want your parts showing.
The law--for most ATL counties anyway- is that your pubic hair must cover your genitals. So if you have a "strip" just be sure it isn't too thin when you audition for a dancing job. None of the top, and few of the mid level clubs allow large tatoos or piercings, When I worked at Mardi Gras tatoos had to be covered w/ makeup and piercings removed. Of course exceptions were made for exceptional girls (fabulous tatoo, piercing that accentuated a body part perfectly--and of course you want 1 tatooed or pierced girl in the buiolding) but at the lower end clubs it usually isn't an issue. Permits are required for every dancer--Clubs may lose their liquor licensce if you are caught naked w/out one--and you will go to jail. Money varies as with any other area I'm sure. I'm just coming out of a 3 year retirement. With 15 extra lbs., being at a really crappy club, and needing to polish up my hustling skills-(also no great regulars) I'm making a $250 average w/ a $45 tipout.
The Atlanta area is one of the few places in the USA where state and local laws allow full nudity plus alcohol. However, in exchange for this, state and local laws are VERY strict about the manner in which girls can dance nude where alcohol is being served. This means enough pubic hair to cover your "lips". This means never standing with your feet more than 12 inches apart while dancing nude. This also means never touching your own body in any sensual way while dancing. Local law enforcement in the Atlanta area takes these laws very seriously !
Of course, dancers in nude clubs which do not serve alcohol aren't covered by these laws. However, as you can imagine, if one club is offering nude dancers plus alcohol and the other club is offering nude dancers but no alcohol, the other club probably needs to offer something 'extra' to attract customers - but that's a whole 'nuther story.
In terms of laws, facilities, friendliness, and drinks Atlanta is one of the best markets in the country for SC's. The license laws are very strict, but in my opinion makes for the clubs to be safe and well run. The guys in the Atlanta market keep hearing about Houston, but don''t realize that they really do have a good SC market in Atlanta by compariosn with the NE US
or the Chicago area. (With seom exceptions in rural Illinois and Wisconsin.) Looking at the total picture, of laws, safety, friendliness, nude, drinks, facilities I'd pick the top five clubs in Atlanta any day, and by that I mean the top showbar class clubs. Thats from both a dancer standpoint and customer standpoint. As a dancer, you have to be good at hustle, fairly thin
and pretty to make the good money.
shesupsidedown, you can visit her, but you'll have to get a permit....which is about $350. The club I work at (Cheetah) does not allow you to show your tattoos. But, we have a make-up artist who covers them up for you :)
Hey Ktasinas, I think that's really cool that you work in Cheetash's. I've heard great things about that club. I also heard it's very upscale, and hard to get into...I'm gonna PM you later about working in ATL alright!Quote:

Atlanta is the #2 stripping city in the US. It's worth knowing what's good.
