Re: Info on LA/Orange County clubs
daisy- the clubs in LA are alot different from the clubs in OC- i have never worked in LA county but from what i hear its pretty dirty, especially in full nude clubs. i work in OC and it is really clean, low milage, couch dances are done in bikini's, and money is good, pretty good- an average sat. about $500. during the week about $200-300. good luck- im sure everyone can help you find names of clubs in your area of LA if ya need them
Re: Info on LA/Orange County clubs
I worked in Orange County 2 years ago. Very clean "air dances" and you can only take your top off onstage when you are 6 feet from the customer. Fritz 2 in Anaheim, Mr Js, Capt Creams, and the Library are your best options.
There is a lot of legal action going on in LA City right now concerning lap dances. I haven't been following it very closely since it doesn't concern me anymore. Apparently not all of LA County is affected, Fritz in Bellflower and the Fantasy Castle in Long Beach still give lap dances.
Stick to topless clubs if you don't want high contact and extras. The nude clubs tend to be full service.
Re: Info on LA/Orange County clubs
OK, here's a brief overview of the current strip club scene in the LA Area:
First, the proposed lap dance ban has been postponed for the moment. Most likely, there will be a citywide election in March 2005 to decide the issue, but for now it is business as usual. At any rate, this ban would have only affected clubs in the city of LA , not LA county, the OC, or any of the incorporated cities in the LA area.
Second, there is a big difference between the topless clubs and the nude clubs in the LA area. In topless clubs, you have to be 6 ft. away from customers when you are topless (on stage), and you can only do air dances in bikini. Therefore, topless clubs are extremely low contact. Of course the tradeoff is that you tend to make much less money than you do in nude clubs. I don't really know what a reasonable average is for a topless club since I work nude.
Nude clubs in the LA area are pretty high contact compared to most areas of the country. Lap dances are full contact, and most guys will expect at a minimum for you to grind on them. Lap dances at nude clubs can be bikini, topless, or fully nude depending on the club. Also, most guys will try to and possibly expect to touch you, although if you choose to permit this you can charge more money for it. In many clubs, management tends to ignore this so you have to be prepared to enforce your own boundaries because a bouncer won't stop a customer if he tries to put his hand on your leg/ass/breasts.
However, with regard to nude clubs being full service joints, I think that is kind of misleading. Everything I stated above is accurate, but it is incorrect to imply that sex acts (e.g. fingerbanging, hj, bj, sex) are routine in every nude club in LA. This is certainly not the case and it is definitely not necessary to engage in this type of activity to make money in LA. It isn't even necessary to let customers touch you, although it is expected in many clubs. While certain clubs have a reputation for being dirty, there is a lot of variance between clubs. The nude clubs in OC have a reputation for being cleaner, but the bottom line is that every club is what you make of it, provided you are prepared to enforce your own boundaries.
As for money, there is money to be made in the LA area. I personally would consider $300-$400 to be a bad night working a short shift. I think a lot of it depends on finding a good club. The LA area is saturated with strip clubs, and many of them simply do not offer good earning potential. So while there is a lot of truth to all the negative things people say about the clubs in LA, I want to put it out there that the situation isn't really that grim. If you let me know what area you are looking at, I could probably give you the names of some clubs that are reputed to be good. Also, I would recommend looking at www.zbone.com, as it contains a wealth of information about LA/OC strip clubs. Good luck and I'm sure you'll find a place that's right for you.

thank you so much for all the responses. i have only danced at one club and i am soooooo nervous about not only changing clubs, but changing states. everyone was sooo sweet to take time out of their day to help me out with some advice :).
Bailey, nasty factor is something i really want to stay away from, but i want to make money if i am taking my clothes off for a living. sooo i guess i will try the nude clubs. could you recommend some of the cleaner/money making clubs, that would be a huge help!!! i will living in the redondo beach/hermosa beach area. i dont mind a bit of a drive. if you dont mind me asking, what club do you work at?
Re: Info on LA/Orange County clubs
Two of the cleanest clubs in the LA area are 4Play, which is located in West LA at the intersection of the 10 and 405 freeways, and Bare Elegance, which is located in the LAX area. Both are these clubs are fairly upscale- 4Play a little more so than Bare Elegance- and offer fairly good $ potential. Most of the Spearmint Rhino clubs offer good $ potential as well, but the contact levels there are very high and entail offering fully nude contact lapdances.
I work at DejaVu, which I consider to be a middle of the road kind of club. The decor is not the poshest, and it is neither the cleanest nor the dirtiest club in the area, although there are cameras everywhere, which tends to keep things from getting out of hand.
The important thing to remember is that you dictate the level of contact that you choose to allow. There are also an infinite supply of options, as the LA area is saturated with clubs. So, if the operating procedures or contact levels of one club don't suit you, then you are always free to find another club that may be more appropriate for you.
Most clubs in the area have a weekly amateur contest, which is a great way to check out a club to see if you'd be interested in working there. Just look in the free tabloid newspaper The LA Weekly, where they have several pages devoted to advertising area strip clubs. With all the resources at your disposal, I'm sure you'll be able to locate a club that suits you!
