If hou means Houston all of them do but Heartbreakers which is 2 feet.
NONE of the clubs follow the rules on dances. The times of the year when vice comes in, whomever is blatantly violating the rules,(which most likely means having sex) will go to jail. It all depends on the vice cops working as to who they will bust.
..ok... thanks Tina...that's what i was thinking. i've done some research and i'm leaning more towards dancing in other cities. do you know of a few cities that dancers do well in? i have no problem with traveling.
Kali, every major city in this country has more dancers than customers.
Being that you are new IMHO I would recommend you starting in the Southwest where you will get experience going table to table asking for dances. Houston girls sit too much and guys aren't used to being approached right and left for dances.
El Paso is close and I recommend Prince Machiavelli there. You'll learn how to work the floor and what is key there is to watch how the top selling girls keep the guys buying dances. All the dances are done on the floor and there is touching but everything is in plain view.
If you can't get in there try Foxys, or Tequila Sunrise.
Albuquerque or Tucson will give you good experience too. Dannces are cheaper and money isn't huge but you will quickly become comfortable approaching and talking to every customer and then you can work anywhere.
I currently have all my stuff in storage in Houston and Arizona and work bookings in Montana and the upper Midwest where there is a controlled amount of girls and not 60 girls fighting for 55 customers. No matter where you work east of the dry line in Texas you will be really discouraged with all the girls competing for the money. Business is up and down where I work too but at least you are steadily making some money unlike Houston or Austin or where you might have been at work for several hours and made nothing and hardly go on stage or get any stage tips when you do. And we get paid $300-$400 a week depending on the club along the upper I-29 corridor and Montana so that is an extra $50-$66 per day above our tips.
Night Trips in Oklahoma City is a good volume club and auditions from 3-6 daily.
I highly recommend the southwest clubs 1st. You can stay in Albuquerque and El Paso in Intown Suites for $160 a week so your costs of living is low and you'll learn a whole lot about working the floor there. Go to TD's Eubank in ABQ to get started. they also have a VIP area so you can learn how to upsell the customers too. In Tucson Curves is a good club to start in. Go in around 7 and talk to a manager. They have Intown Suites there to but I recommend getting a suite there before the winter visitors arrive so that you have a inexpensive apt to stay in or else it will get more expensive during the winter there.
Don't be swayed by talk of $1000 nights. They aren't the norm. You will have $50 ones, $100 ones and some 200, 300 and up. Just learn the business and focus on what you make and not on what other people say you should be making. Just like the infomercials using testimonials who made $50,000 in 2 days. In the fine print a disclaimer says unique experience your results may vary. This business is a lot slower now and laws are getting stricter everywhere. Just be realistic about your earnings expectations, drive wherever you go and find weekly efficiency suites so you can live like at home and keep yor expenses low and you'll be fine.
Good Luck.
THANKS Tina...you're the best!!! [angel]
How long have you been in this business?
Kali I started dancing about 15 years ago when I was 19 and probably worked in about 20 states.
Tina, I am so surprised that you and I haven't run into eachother.
I have worked at almost ALL of the clubs you have mentioned....in Houston, Albuquerque and El Paso.
PS: at Td's you will have to get used to $7 daned. You can sure sell a lot of them though!
Starting in Houston will leave a sour taste in your mouth. It's true, it's more of a fight. You get a HUGE amount of Hustle Credentials working in the slightly less high dollar Southwest!
Tina: Suburban Lodge in El Paso has the same rates and is just as close....please avoid Red Parrot-it's turned into a nasty cesspool!
Most of all, Kali, be safe!

:-* Thanks Ladies....
I'm taking lots of notes ;) and I appreciate your help.
I know I will have to dance in Houston at some point though... do you'll opinions on any of these clubs ( The Mens Club, Treasures, Ricks Cabaret, Babe's, The Gold Cup, St. James, Caligula, or Colorado)???
Kali-my favorite club in Houston is Caligula. Colorado was on the decline last time I saw it.
Ricks is absolutely skanky. Nice decor, but it is riding on it's own reputation. Treasures has the best $$ potential but extras run rampant. I have heard good things about St. James, never tried it as it was too much out of the way.....north of Houston.
BABES?!?! Honey don't do that to yourself. The VIP area is a joke and filthy. You can see dirt all around you and it's predominately a drug dealer hip hop club. Addict's paradise.
For me, Caligula XXI is #1! It's dressy casual and has a gorgeous stage. Extras are not necessary. They treat the girls there very well.
