Re: deja vu in minneapolis?
I have worked at the Mn Deja Vu off and on for about 4 years now. These things are true to some degree. There is a $20 shift fee, plus $7 out of each $20 dance goes to the house, and $30 out of each $90 private room dance. Managers and DJ's are tipped $5-10, lot guys $5-10, and all boucers $1-2 each. You are fined $5 for every 15 minutes you are late for your shift, and $5 for each "mystery" missed. If you don't show up for a shift you are fined $160. By the end of the night I end up giving about 40-45% of my $ to the club. I know that sounds horrible, but because of the large amount I make before cash-out, I actually end up going home with more money from DV than from any of the other clubs in the Minneapolis area. The payouts her are very high but it they can justify it because of how much business the club brings in. During the week I usually go home with 200-400, and weekends 400-800 on average.
The management treats you very well if you show up for your shift and do your job, but they are not above working out "deals" with some girls who want priveleges or get themselves in trouble by not showing up for work, etc.
During the week there are about 20 girls per shift, but on weekends it can get quite competitive with 60-80.
It's a huge club though and most girls are still able to make a decent amount of $ if they work hard.
The contact during the dances varies greatly depending on the location of the dance, (main floor compared to private room), and what each girl is comfortable with. The managers keep a very close eye on the dances most of the time and customers are usually stopped very quickly if they are seen touching the girls at all. Some girls are very good at hiding this though & are able to give quite high contact dances. Grinding is pretty standard for most of the girls, usually not continuously for a whole song, but definite prolonged contact.
Overall, you are allowed to work as hard or as little as you feel like and are treated well if you follow the rules.
You don't have to do anything you feel uncomfortable with during a dance, in fact there is so much supervision throughout most of the club it is difficult to sneak anything extra in anyway. There is the potential to make a lot of money here despite the competition & high payouts just because of the sheer number of customers that this DV attracts. I've tried a lot of other clubs in the area & I keep coming back here. Sorry this trurned out to be so long, I hope I helped a little.
Re: deja vu in minneapolis?
HI, Thought u might want to hear the " word on the town" from a customer who was in Minneapolis for a few days. I actually had a list from the web of all the clubs in area and talked to some local people and they told me to go to Sheiks if I wanted the best looking girls and a real decent place. So we ended up going there and also a place called Ricks. Had a great time at both ,,, esp liked Sheiks.
I went to the de ja vu in vegas a few years ago and it was certainly more aggresive as far as the girls coming to you and also higher contact.... well in any event good luck!
