You can find out pretty much everything you need to know about SF here http://www.eda-sf.org/EDAhome.htm and here http://www.myredbook.net/cgi-bin/dcf...umID11&conf=rb.
If you decide to work in any of the operations detailed on the discussion board, don't price yourself out of the market. There are online guides here http://www.mentalhygiene.net/~ass-c/mbotlist.htm and here http://www.mentalhygiene.net/~ass-c/msclist.htm to assist you.
The other choice is the Hustler Club. Never been, ain't going.
After my short residency here in the Bay Area, I'm ready to throw in the towel.
I currently work at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club, which is by far the best topless establishment in the area. Despite the name, it is nothing like the magazine, it just pays royalites to Flynt to draw in customers. I was hand picked by the management to open the club 6 months ago...needless to say, I am one of 3 original girls still on the schedule.
There are a few problems with the Bay area.
1. The local DA doesn't persue "victimless crime" aka prostitution: the girl gets paid, the guy gets laid no victim. There aren't a lot of street hookers because they can turn tricks much easier inside the nude "theaters" than they can on the street or through a pimp. They can get away with it because the nude bars don't serve alcohol and the ABC is the only thing that enforces the contact laws. Hence, the topless liquor clubs have less contact than the nude bars in SF (see my post under the upcale gentlemen's club thread)
2. Everything in town is owned by DejaVu (except Mitchell Bros and Gold Club) This corporation essentially has a monopoly on the city so it charges outrageously high fees AND takes a percentage of each dance. At Hustler it is a base of $80, then $10 from each $30 VIP dance. Each night I pay out between $150-300 in fees and tips. Although you can grease the palms of the dance counter, you are still forking over a good deal of your money. At the nude brothel clubs, they pay out even more. I hear Mitchell Bros has a base fee of $280...(thats a lot of $50 hand jobs)
I've seen Hustler go way downhill in the past 6 months. Although it is pretty much impossible to get away with a blow job in the back, I have seen plenty of untucked shirts and loosened belts.
So, where does that leave the typical stripper? I have guys laugh at me every night when I tell them that VIP dances are 3 for a hundred. They literally can walk out the door and have two girls jerk him off for that down the street.
Most of us clean dancers have started flying to Vegas for $85 on National Airlines. We also overcharge for dances (like 2 for $100 in the back and $500/hour for champagne room) hoping to get the drunk guy to agree. I'm lucky enough to have seniority at the club, and the floor staff knows I'll tip them out well, so they usually steer me to the high rollers when they come in.
As a result, I have really good nights (over a grand) and really crappy nights (65 dollars) in the same week. My really crappy nights tend to be friday and saturday when the crowd is mostly young bachelor party types.
If you are just breezing in for a weekend, don't expect to work Th, Fri, Sat and leave. DejaVu makes you work a schedule and will fine you if you miss a shift. If you blow them off, and then want to work at a Dejavu in another city you are screwed because they send your info to their central computer system. they also ID and SS card before they hire you, sign a W-9 and 1099 you for any funny money.
The good news is that Boys Toys was recently bought out and is having a grand re-opening in Sept under a new name. So, business there will be good for a while as people come in to check out the "new" club. Of course, it was bought out by DejaVu, so expect high fees.
I've never worked in San Jose. I just know that a lot of the girls I work with drive up to SF to work.
Hope this helps!
B
Thank you! That helped a lot!!
From what I've seen, I would nominate SF as the worst city to dance. Is there a stigma attached to dancers who have worked in SF?
Well, here's a question of a different sort, perhaps.
I'm going to San Francisco later this month. I might want to go to a strip club. Is there a normal one in town, in the sense of "normal" clubs around the rest of America?
based on the definition of "normal" in most other parts of the country, the answer has to be NO. Any club that tried to operate with "normal" mileage levels in San Francisco would go bankrupt inside of a month! As Britney posted, SF club customers expect high mileage at low prices and they have many many options of clubs willing to provide exactly what the guys are looking for. Even the "feature" clubs like Market Street Cinema basically now expect that the features will provide similar mileage during "private sessions" backstage.
Right now is the yearly ABC sweeps, so all the clubs clean up a little bit in late Jan, early Feb since the ABC is the ONLY governing body that really cares what goes on in SF.
Hustler is having it's 1 year anniversary party on Feb 19th-22nd. It should be a lot of fun. I had a blast at the grand opening last year: lots of local and national celebrites, porn stars, etc. All the high mileage action is covert....you won't see hj and bj out in the open. But look in the back VIP room and notice where you see the curtains stapled together. Also when a customers pays for the whole champagne room (behind the red glass) to himself and the lights are turned off....hmmmmm.....
Same with Boys Toys, the downstairs is so bright you'll feel like you're in TGI Fridays. Before it was DejaVu run it actually was a clean, low contact establishment with any extras performed outside the club. But once DejaVu took over, it went to shit. The upstairs VIP, which was once a beatiful dining area with dark oak paneling is being remodeled DejaVu style with private booths.
Gold Club is running the most "normal" strip club. It's not DejaVu run, so since it doesn't take a cut of the dances, the girls don't have to overcharge and perform extras. Instead, the girls who are so inclined to do extras take them outside the club.
If you want to pay the $40 cover charge, Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell's theater is worth a look. This is a very high mileage nude juice "theater" It's the kind of place that's fun to go watch, but GOD! I'd never want to work there!
I must say, overall the girls I've worked with in SF are unlike dancer's I've met anywhere else. Since it's a city that is so open with sexuality, the dancers that perform extras aren't in denial about it. They will openly discuss the reasons that they perform extras and why if you DON'T perform extras you're not a good stripper (I swear I had that conversation one night) Granted, there are a few normal girls like me there that manage to make a decent living without doing extras, we were definately the minority (and not the top money-makers)
Thanks, Melonie. It seems odd, wondering if I can spend up to a couple hundred in a club without having it appear that I'm looking for some form of sex. Maybe I should just stay away from the club scene altogether till I get home.
Thanks, Britney. I didn't see your response before I wrote my last one.
Sounds like Gold Club is the ticket, if I get in the mood. I went to a Deja Vu once and don't want to again. Hustler the magazine does nothing for me, so I'm not motivated to contribute to the club.
Appreciate your input!

Jason, look for:
Zoe at the Gold Club
Raquel and Cinnamon at Boys Toys
Tara, Hailey, Arcadia, Cassie, or Hunter at Hustler
All are gracious hostesses who can converse and give you an evening of quality entertainment without an STD
:-X
PS
Hustler club is not like the magazine: bikini bar with pasties. Most customers are disappointed by this
I've met a few nice ladies who actually commute (2hr drive) to work in Sacramento and the Central Valley just to avoid working in SF.
It's pretty bad, San Fransisco. Believe it or not, a year ago I didn't believe that sort of thing went on in strip clubs. It's tainted the enjoyment of going to strip clubs and makes me real hesitant about going to a new club without knowing anything about it in advance.
Try the suburbs of SF. There is a little bikini club in downtown San Mateo called Club Ante. There are private dances for $20 they are low contact and you keep the money! The fee is low $25 and generous tips to manager/dj are expected. Check it out soon, I hear that there are rumors that it might be closing, due to leasing problems.
Talk to AlBee and tell him that "Liza" says hello!
Cheers,
Corey
Hi Jason...
I went to The Gold Club (hopefully, my future place of employment) this past sat. nite and I had a GREAT time. I got a couple of dances from some beautiful ladies. It all seemed clean and wonderful to me. Most of the girls are beautiful, the club is nice and no funny stuff going on as far as I could see.
Nola ;) :-*
Nola,
Good choice....if I were still in SF, I'd be working at the GC! They only audition on Sunday night, during their amateur contest. The housemom has a lot of say whether you get hired or not, so don't piss her off! (Don't kiss her ass either though)
Good Luck!!!
B
Whew!
Britney is an egotistic, scamming sociopath and Jason is a maschistic idiot!
Gold Club is nothing but a scam. Any guy who goes there is the worst kind of loser; Deja Vu is even worse.
Thank goddess for San Fran!
Hi Britney...
Thanks for the advice. I am hoping to be ready to audition by the beg. of April. I have gained a lot of valuable info. In particularly from this board and in particularly from you. I appreciate all that I have gained here.
If you have any pointers on interacting with the housemom or on what she might be looking for please let me know.
I have always had good luck on interviews, so I don't expect that I would piss her off. No chance of kissing up, I have never been good at that. I'll try to learn with the customers... :) Thanks Britney.
Nola
Rymshasha, Dude, lighten up! You must be a Psychologist to make such a detailed diagnosis with such little information.......Oh...wait a minute, a Psychologist wouldn't do that now!.....HMMM, maybe you are the freakin idiot. Britney seems knowledgable and charming, as does Nola. In fact I have been to the GC, and had a great time. But I guess in your book that makes me the worst kind of loser? What is the worst kind of loser anyway? Let us examine....It is a free market, I make money, and I enjoyed spending some at the GC. ;D
Sounds like you got the problem pal. :P If I were a novice Psychologist, I think I would say you are suffering from a serious case of insecurity, most likely a manifestation of micro phallic dypsomania. XXOO Saber :o
rymshasha, you're silly! your post makes absolutely no sense!
Nola, there's no interview at GC. The housemom just kinda goes by gut instinct, nothing to really worry about ...just human nature. Don't be a total kiss up, but don't get in her face.
Saber, tell Zoe at the GC I said hi next time you're there!!
??? ??? ???These clubs are okay. The top girls from MBOT, who did not want to do extras went to in order of where they went most they are bikini barsKit Kat Club, 907 E. Arques Ave [Show Map] Sunnyvale, California. Brass Rail, 160 Persian Dr [Show Map], Sunnyvale, California, AJ's ,San Jose, California. :o :o :o
They also went to gold Club and Vegas.
You might check out for clubs info and addresses
;) :)
Let's see - I asked for a recommendation, Britney gave one, and I said if I had time, I might try it, and thank you. I am not making the connection that you are.Quote:

Well, I went to Gold Club. It was very nicely furnished. It wasn't my cup of tea, but I had a nice time with a nice dancer in the short time that I had to be there. I wasn't scammed. I was told up-front what the deal was.
